Sean our waiter on 7/16/19 was AMAZING! So attentive!
We were sat in a room that is usually used for private events. There was a Tradeshow in town. The room wasn’t very nice and it was noisy. Service was not good either.
Richard was a great server, very personable. Ambience in the OUTLOOK room was light and airy. Food, especially the grilled octopus was excellent. We made another reservation two nights from now and invited our friend.
The food were excellent, but no option to have bigger portions. Food was on tad salty side, drinks were great. Our server was phenomenal.
In general, our overall experience was good. Food was enjoyable, but the service lacked a little. Little too long to receive a glass of wine after seeing it sit on the bar for a while. Also, had to go fill up our water glasses. Since, the restaurant works with multiple people bringing drinks, food and cleaning off the plates, the server could have done a better job on making sure all duties were being done.
Fabulous service, food and atmosphere -- I will definitely return the next time I am in town for my trade show. It's a terrific spot to have a business dinner in a relaxed space. The service from every single employee was outstanding -- obviously well trained. The menu selection was excellent -- and everything prepared to perfection, even though I suspect it was about as busy as it gets for this restaurant, but you would never know it by the attention paid by the staff to its customers.
Had a reservation at 8:15 at 9:30 we left never being seated. Excuse was they were taking care of a private party. If that's the case then don't accept any other reservations ! What a waste of our time and will never even consider going back!
Stunning restaurant with a nice farm to table ambience. The food was excellent with the exception of my flounder which was over cooked. I was offered a replacement, which I declined because I was quite full from appetizers. The staff removed the charge from my bill without hesitation. The service was above outstanding. I would return.
Always outstanding food and wonderful service from Damien at the bar. This is my “go to” place when I’m in Atlanta, have had a long day at work and want a quality meal and a warm welcome. It never disappoints.
Every time I come to Atlanta for work, I visit White Oak Kitchen. The food is wonderful, the staff are friendly, and they make my evening memorable every time. Whether it is for a work function in a private room of just dinner for one (me!), I can't say enough wonderful things about each experience. Go- you won't be disappointed.
Great food and fantastic service
Pre-game meal (Atlanta United)
Awesome food and cocktails. Spectacular service!!
Rather a bland, OK restaurant. Nothing at all to complain about but just wasn't engaging. Of course we were early diners this evening, about 6:30. Might be better a b it later.
It was ok. The short rib was too salty, snap peas weren't cooked enough. The fried chicken my friend got was pretty good, cornbread was pretty good, but nothing special. Lamb was the best. The food took a very long time to come out. The Male panzanella was basically a few pieces of kale with lots of oil and salt. The sweet potato beignets were good as well as the butter cake.
Great ambience and some very tasty menu choices. Waiter was very good - no rushing, and in fact the owner stopped by as we were finishing up and said that's their policy- let the diners set the pace. Great microbrews as well. Overall a great spot in the heart of the convention area!
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our servers were attentive and knowledgeable. But the service was too rushed; our entrees were served immediately after our appetizers. The dining room also was very noisy; many male attendees from a large convention (wearing their badges) carrying on spirited conversations in loud voices made it sound like a neighborhood pub. We were looking forward to a quiet, leisurely dinner--a date night- -and that's not what we had.
The baked oysters were amazing!
Great food. Just a little pricey for the actual entrees. But the wait staff was attentive and knew the menu very well.
Food was nicely presented but the meat and fish was WAY too salty.
Went here before a show at the tabernacle. Food was awesome and service was incredible!! I felt like we had 5 ppl waiting on us. We were late and they were so accommodating and our food came out so quickly. Highly recommend!
Always great food and service. Great management team!
The chef was able to honor a request for our dinner to make fried green tomatoes for my boss’ birthday. Outstanding. Service level was exceptional. Have the fried chicken.
This occasion was for a work team lunch with nine people. We were seated at a very long table; would have preferred a round table which would have made conversation with everyone easier, but that might not be possible with the room's layout. The food is good; our server was quite good.
We had Josh as our waiter and together with his excellent service, tasty food, and great drinks we had a wonderful time. It was surprising that there weren’t a lot of people there on a Friday night. If this restaurant were in my native Seattle it would have been really difficult to get a table. Thanks for serving us and showing us a good time.
I took a client for a business lunch. We were seated immediately and promptly served. The pace of the meal was brisk, which I especially appreciate at lunch during a weekday. She-crab soup was excellent, glad to see it back on the menu. The burger is also a very good choice. I recommend White Oak for a business lunch.
The waitress was completely clueless - we were a group of 6 paying separately. She brought back all credit card except for one an disappeared. We waited for 20 min with no explanation. She also messed up one of the orders. The food was just OK and overpriced, the iced tea way too sweet. Do not recommend this place.
Beautiful place, great appetizers and drinks but the entrees were lacking.
Booked this based on other reviews but sadly this restaurant was not up to par. Even with a reservation I waited over 10 minutes for a waiter to recognize that we had been seated. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and it was uncooked mushy in the middle. Gross. My husband ordered the scallops and they were raw, almost inedible. No one ever came We had to track down the waiter in the restaurant to get out check as we had tickets to a show and needed to leave. Sorry, but terrible food and terrible service. We are from out of town, so don't worry, we won't be back.
We had an amazing dinner at White Oak Kitchen. The starters were especially creative and outstanding. We would definitely return when we are in town again.
Innovative southern cuisine, outstanding service.
Great food and service!
It was so loud we could not carry on a conversation. The menu read wonderfully but the food wasn't great.
Went in for a quiet lunch, was promptly greeted by hostess and sat. It was a business/personal lunch with a colleague. I brought the family along and they happily catered to our infant bringing a high chair and asking if we needed anything special for him. Damian did a great job on the service and drinks. White oak kitchen is always a go to in downtown for me.
Great little place with outside seating
The food was good but the service was verrrrrry slow.
This was our second time at the restaurant we brought my daughter and her fiancé; they were very impressed. Our service was excellent and the food was delicious. I appreciate that there are slight substitutions allowed. We will definitely be back. One side note do not get the small chocolate Bundt cake very dry and unappealing.
Nice outdoor seating area. Food was delicious and looked amazing on the plate. The service was slow because they were understaffed. It would have been nice to have more vegetarian options.
Food was awesome, atmosphere was great.
Amazing food, history and bourbon list!
