When in New Hampshire, a visit to the award-winning White Mountain Cider Company is most definitely in order. Located in a restored farmhouse from the 1890's, the spacious dining room and bar have a rustic yet modern appeal. It also has a private loft area that can be reserved for special events. White Mountain Cider Company makes fresh pressed cider from September to December as well.
The menu at the White Mountain Cider Company changes frequently as it strives to only use seasonally fresh ingredients. Chef Theresa Stearns creatively turns these ingredients into unique and tasty meals that bring in both locals and tourists. Entrees such as the NH asparagus and goat cheese tart or the pan roasted duck breast are just two examples. Casual fare is also available for those who don't want a huge meal. The restaurant also offers catering and a market and deli.

Everyone I have asked about the best restaurant in No. Conway area have said that White Mountain Cider Company has the best food in town. I became acquainted with their food at a gathering of a neighbor catered by WMCC. All the attendies were delighted by the food. I visited the restaurant with two friends and we all agree that we will be returning soon with our spouses. We very much enjoyed the food, the ambiance and were impressed by the service. Our server was very friendly, answered all our questions and catered to our needs for the several ours we were there.
At first on entry, the Cider Co restaurant looked welcoming, warm and cozy, with the fireplace going and a nice bar, then the hostess took us to the dining room, (they have two separat) our table ended up at the end of a narrow room with only a semi-trnsparent curtain separating us from the waiting room/lounge, so it was very noisy. I had a polenta with a tomato chutney topping as appetizer, the polenta was great, made like in Italy, but the tomato bruschetta like sauce was served cold, not a match! I was surprised for a $$ restaurant. My entree was a grilled cod fish, which tasted fresh but overcooked so that the outside was crusty and dry. The vine selection was very good, but for the red I think way overpriced.
The most disappointing thing was they did not have espresso or cappucino, which for this level of restaurant should be a must. Service was very good though.

This is definitely one of the hidden gems of New Hampshire. We have heard about this place and it came highly recommended by some friends who have visited it in the past. We wanted a nice place to celebrate our anniversary and this place was perfect. The service was nothing but exceptional and the food was exquisite. Ambience and a perfect menu go hand in hand. Looking forward to our next visit.
Food is fantastic! A definite must if in the Jackson area. Ambiance is great except they should consider changing the lighting.
Whenever my husband and I stay in North Conway we make it a point to go to the White Mountain Cider Company. We had dinner there on Valentine's Day and as usual the food was phenomenal! I ordered the pork chop with bacon and gorgonzola topping. That was very good. My husband had a special which was cider braised pork with pasta and mushrooms. In his words it was one of the best meals he's ever had. I tried some of his dish and I wish I had got that dish instead even though I don't like mushrooms. That's how tasty it was. From the bread and butter all the way to the cup of coffee. Everything was excellent ! Harriet our waitress was very good. Even the hostess came around to make sure guests were satisfied.
If you're in the North Conway area and are looking for a nice night out you can't go wrong with the White Mountain Cider Company.
The food here is always absolutely fabulous. We have been here about a half a dozen times since moving to the area and it never fails. The foods are exquisite and so full of flavor! The service has been wonderful with attentive wait staff. Even with food allergies the chef has made the food taste magical.
Exceptional experience from beginning to end. Server was knowledgeable and friendly. And to celebrate Valentines Day they had wonderful little center pieces on each table to take home as a gift.
My fiance and I had dinner reservations for Valentine's Day. We were seated promptly and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very pretty, cozy and comfortable. Great ambiance.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our dinners were very good. She had lamb with pasta and I had a wonderful pork chop. Drinks were excellent as was our appetizer.

We have enjoyed many good dinners here. The food is innovative, but not fussy. The duck breast and pork chop were highlights this year. Wines by the glass can be pricey, so it can be better to limit yourself to 1-2 high quality glasses instead of tossing it back.
One of the nicest meals we have ever had in the White Mountains. Only the Wentworth compares. The menu was creative and everything was delicious, especially the bread, duck bolognese, scallops, curried cod and the ice cream and cider donut dessert. The staff was polite and accommodating of my sons' nut allergy. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I have been to White Mt. Cider Co. several times before when we visit Northern New Hampshire. Returning to this restaurant is one of the reasons we include when deciding to visit the area. This time we were up to ski for a few days and made a reservation for just one night. The food and service was exceptional as always, from the delicious bread to dessert. My wife ordered a scallop entre from the main menu that was wonderful. I selected a chicken, asparagus and pasta meal from the casual menu that was very tasty. Yes, I finished what was a large portion and even used the bread to clean up the sauce, it was that good! Since we were going to ski the following day we had not made any additional reservations until Patty, our server, told us it was going to be burger night, with several burger choices. So we came back again the next night! I had the White Mt. Cider burger which is the best I have ever had anywhere! My wife enjoyed her perfectly cooked top sirloin burger. Thankfully she could not finish it all and I had a bite of that yummy treat as well. Needless to say ski season is not over yet so, we will be back soon!
From beginning to end, we had a wonderful experience. We'd been recommended this place by other friends who have been coming here for years. The food and cocktails were stellar , creative and reasonably priced, but the outstanding service stood out. Patty was extremely attentive to our needs without hovering over us and was also genuinely friendly and upbeat. We felt like regulars rather than first-timers.
We've rented a ski condo at Attitash for the month of February for the last five years. White Mt Cider Co has been our favorite for their creativity and the freshness of their food. Sadly, however, we feel like the food quality has gone down hill. I had a bone in rib eye special, for example, this past weekend. It was overcooked and less than 5/8" thick. My wife had the lobster risotto which didn't taste like lobster and had a sweet sauce over it that didn't work.
The service was great. Christine did a very nice job. The new kitchen looks beautiful and was very clean.
We visited White Mountain Cider Company with family to celebrate a birthday. The meal was fabulous. I ordered the steel head trout and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. Perfectly done. The waitress was great and helped me with my gluten free choice. They don't have a separate GF menu but she was happy to check with the chef to make sure it was safe. Can't wait to return.
This was rated on Facebook as New Hampshire's number 1 restaurant . The food was very good, but on the expensive side. I would rate the service as "fair" as our order was misplaced. All in all, we had a nice meal and would try White Mountain Cider Co. again.
My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic dinner. The food was absolutely wonderful. The dining room is quaint and small. We intended to be alone, but the next table was so close, we couldn't help but chit chatting with each other. This place attracts the right crowd! Lovely people. There is a second building that seems to sell cider, donuts, gifts, and deli foods, but they close at the same time the restaurant opens in the winter time. That was a little sad, I would have loved to see what it's like in there. Looks very quaint as well.

Great food, cooked perfectly, served right, and ingredients blended that make you wonder how do they make it taste so good. Country Gourmet at its finest.
Fantastic locally sourced food from one of the best restaurants in the valley. I've been lucky enough to have been going from the time they opened when you could walk in and sit at the small but beautiful bar with a big hearth fireplace behind you. Now a reservation is a must unless you don't mind waiting.
One of the best restaurants in the Mt Washington Valley. Qualify and presentation of the food is excellent. Menu items take into account locally-sourced products, and many entrees are paired with side dishes that are unique. This was a great experience that didn't disappoint us.
Have dined here several times. Service is excellent as is the food. The menu changes with the seasons and there's always a real treat for desert.
I made a reservation through Open Table for my husband's 60th birthday. There were 5 in our party. I requested a special table to mark the occasion. The table was too small for 5 people and it was very cold in the room we were in.
The food was delicious. We had the flank steak, pork chop, and cod. Our waitress, Christina was very solicitous.
We would recommend this restaurant to people and could quite possibly return the next time we are in the area. But, we would request a bigger table in a warmer area.
Food was great but everything was covered in different sauces/reductions. Way too much! We had to work hard to find good bites. Product is excellent. Stop drenching it like a Chinese restaurant does when trying to mask bad food.
This is a favorite restaurant of ours. Four of us went to dinner on a Monday night and it was very busy. I was happy we had reservations. They always have a daily special as well as a varied menu. We started with the homemade potato chips with fabulous toppings. For dinner, 3 of us had the daily special - Stuffed filet of sole which was fantastic. The other diner chose the Statler chicken - saying it was very moist and tasty. Our server was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable regarding the menu. We are looking forward to our next visit!
The Cider Company is a perfect dining experience-ambience, amazing impeccable food from apps to desert. Loved mushrooms, duck, and gingerbread with pear sauce blew me away.

We always go to North Conway for Christmas. Christmas Eve we always dine at the Whitw Mountain Cider Company. The food is great and James the bartender is very attentive to your needs.
We visited on a Monday, which was burger and brew night. (Evidently, there are also other Monday night themes. This seems to be the night when the restaurant departs from its fancier fare.) The burgers were outstanding, especially the Wellington, which is served on a puff pastry "roll." Don't order this if you fear making a mess, however: as you eat, the pastry flakes everywhere. However, for a sublime taste experience, consider the melding of puff pastry, gruyere, and duxelles, all complementing a perfectly cooked burger. It was not only paired with an excellent dark beer and hot, delicious, well salted fries, but the price point seemed between low and average. I've paid so much more for so much less flavor and presentation!
The rustic atmosphere is casual, and the real wood fire and attractive bar are big plusses in an otherwise small space. Friendly service is yet another reason to both try and return, again and again, to this place.

The Cider Company is easily my family's favorite special-occasion restaurant in the Glen/Albany area, as we've come several times and don't plan to stop anytime soon. Everything (food, service, wine, ambiance) is consistently superb and the kitchen is great with accommodating our various dietary restrictions, even though despite them we still always get the cider donut with ice cream. Save room for dessert and share an entree or save half home - you can get the wine sealed to go as well. We love the curry potato chips but the 3-flavor bowl is a bit big even for 4 people, so take a crowd and try three different flavors or just get the 1 flavor bowl.
The food was fantastic, as always. Some of the best food around, with wonderful ingredients. Drinks this time of year featuring cider... Yummy. Pumpkin apple bisque? Wonderful!

Not sure I can go there again with friends - the lower room is really too loud. It's so too bad, because the menu is terrific - great flavors! Creative pairing of tastes! Add carpeting to the room??
The food was not up to the usual standard of this restaurant, I had eaten there in the past and was looking forward to a very special meal. There was too much sauce covering my dish, the food was tepid and presentation was not it's usual standard. Also our area was chilly and our table for 5 people was a little too small.
Overall all the participants in the meal were disappointed.
White Mountain Cider Company is my favorite restaurant in the Mount Washington Valley. Their menu manages to be inventive and exciting, but also stay true to local New England traditional fair and ingredients. At this last visit, I had the pork chop prepared with a cider and mustard sauce over root vegetables and fingerling potatoes and it was out of this world. The blue cheese and bacon stuffed dates were also amazing as an appetizer. The atmosphere is rustic but elegant and comfortable, with a cozy fire and exposed beams that make the perfect escape for dinner, especially in the fall and winter. I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best examples of classic and fine dining in New England.
This place was hyped up by several bar tenders and shop owners in downtown North Conway as being "the place" to get dinner. The menu had a good selection of seafood and meat...no gluten free option for their pasta dish which sounded delicious...no substitutes offered...service was a bit slow...both appetizers and my entree were served at room temperature at best. The bone in pork chop was delicious!
White Mt go to for a Big City meal. Anytime we are in the area we get reservations for White Mt Cider. This place is a diamond in the rough and a can't miss. Even went when they were in the process of expanding kitchen and although choices were limited all amazing. I love the high tops near the fire place but any seat is cozy. Homemade Chips with choice of sauces aw a must but if you get the "large" be prepared to share or not finish your entree. Any entree I have had has been great and not rushed.....if you know what I mean. Great wine selection and service is always great! The food and service were outstanding. We made reservations and when we arrived we were seated immediately. Our server was able to provide us with the specials without looking at a list. She was able to make recommendations. She even spoke with the chef to make certain we were getting the best meal.
