Warm welcome and nice staff. Dinner was poor - dry steak and generally badly prepared/presented. Would never eat here again. Started laying out breakfast at9pm while we were still eating. Room was average. Stuck in the corner bit of a rat run to get to it. Nicely decorated but small and next to the road so noisy and noise from upstairs too. Real disappointment. Shame.

We had family ( 8 months to 95) dinner and all enjoyed the evening. The service was friendly and efficient and the restaurant had a warm, tranquil atmosphere and a spacious and lovely feel to the rooms. They managed to achieve the right balance between welcoming the children ( and providing crayons and a puzzle sheet) but keeping the restaurant feeling an adult place and not impacting on the quality of the experience for other people dinning without children. The starters were tempting and didn't disappoint; the boneless ribs judged excellent. The main courses of steak pie and a South African mince bake were both tasty with tender meat. Opinion on the sea bream was divided with one really liking it and the other finding it a little lacking in flavour, with too much potato and too little sauce. The puddings were divine - especially the Amarula creme brûlée and banoffie pie. We will certainly be back. Thank you

Easy to find and a well sized car-park. Enjoyable lunch on a very quiet day which made it difficult to judge the ambience. There was a good range of food and a substantial wine list. Service was pleasant and prompt. I'm sure we will return.

We've been here several times before and had good food and service. As it was a Sunday evening it seemed that the B team was on duty. Mostly OK but should have been a lot better. When I showed the waitress a piece of "grit" in my food which nearly broke a tooth she took it away without comment and there was no follow up. At the end of the meal I asked about the response from the kitchen and was advised that the chef thought it was a piece of bone. But that was very unlikely - at least they should have responded and seemed even a little bit concerned. As I said before - disappointing!

A very enjoyable experience, from the moment we sat down at our comfortable table to the end of the meal. Attentive service and an excellent roast meal was all that we could have hoped for last Sunday. We will definitely go back to the White Hart.

I took my partner to the White Hart at Nettlebed for his birthday, we had been once before and he is always saying lets go to dinner at White Hart so thought it was a good option. We met some friends there we had a drink at the bar before sitting down for our meal and didn't feel like we were being rushed to be seated at our table. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant where there is a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent and we did not have to wait long for our food, it was delicious food and all of our plates were clean at the end. I would recommend the White Hart to many people for a relaxing meal for either a good of people or for just a romantic dinner for 2. We will be returning soon!

Enjoyable mid week lunch. Prompt service and decent value. Substantial menu with specials and a strong wine list.

it was the first time for us at the White Hart - and the food is just marvellous. One of the waiters was a bit tired (??), so the service expecially regarding drinks was a bit slow. But we will definitively return !

Booked at very short notice. Excellent meal. Will definitely go again. Some tables are a little 'squished' but essentially a very nice venue and very welcoming
