White Chocolate Grill - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Our server made our night a memorable wedding anniversary. She checked on us often but not too much. We had the crab cake and scallops and they were perfect. The restaurant was not too loud. We had the white chocolate brownie for two and it was excellent. We would love to come back here on our next visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. My husband proclaimed that his end-cut prime rib was one of the best he’d ever had. My sea bass over puréed cauliflower was extremely tasty. The wait staff was very attentive. My husband had the fresh banana cream pie covered in white chocolate curls, while I chose the signature white chocolate martini for dessert. Both delivered on taste. All in all, a delightful dining experience.
This was my second time at the White Chocolate Grill and it did not disappoint. The food here for the price is just outstanding. We were staying in Tempe, but drove to Scottsdale to eat here. Traveling for business makes me wish there was one of these in Michigan.
Annual golf trip to Scottsdale. Our first dinner visit was last year - such a great experience we came back this year and we brought our friends. Last year - waiter was awesome, friendly, helpful with the menu choices and overall great impression. Decided to bring our friends this year. Made reservations on Open Table - Great! Receptionist sat us and talked about the special of the day. Didn't understand much of what she said - terrible annunciation. I generally like to ask waiters what's the house favorite - what do people order most? What do you do best? He pretty much said... "everybody orders everything". No embellishment on that subject - cut that conversation off. Bar service - tap beer was bad. Main waiter a bit arrogant. The other staff filling water, clearing plates super friendly - promotions are in order. Overall, experience --- probably won't be recommending this restaurant.
We have dined here many times and typically have good service and well prepared food. Unfortunately on this occasion, our guest visiting from out of state was served cold food. The waiter Kai returned it to the kitchen and returned with hot food. To compensate for our inconvenience, the waiter offered to comp her a dessert. Sadly, her dessert was also ill prepared. We were not charged for the one entree and all the desserts ordered at the table. Mistakes do happen and the waitstaff handled things so well that we will be back.
One of my favorite restaurants in town, I love the vibe. Totally kid friendly in an adult environment. I think the kids food quality is just ok. My son ordered a burger and it was not great, I would not suggest. My daughter ordered the chicken tenders, also weird, the outside was like dry bread crumbs on chicken, Again not great. The best bet is order adult food for the kids. My trout is "AMAZING" I order almost every time.
We arrived early, and were seated right away. They were quite happy to wait until our friend arrived before taking our order. Food arrived promptly and was very tasty. The only slight downside was that all desserts were for 2 people, and as we all wanted different things, ended up having (and therefore paying) more than we wanted.
We had great service. Unfortunately, the prime rib was a tad bit overcooked but our server informed us it was the last piece and it was medium instead of medium rare. We also missed out on the sweet potato mash since they had run out. This was a Sunday evening at 7pm. I guess we'll have to go earlier in the evening to get full menu options.
The entrees we ordered were very tasty. Prime rib and halibut steak.....mmmmm!
We like White Chocolate very much. We like to sit in the bar area where it's a bit quieter. Our party had a plain hamburger, a fish sandwich, not too blackened , with honeyed carrots, and the third entree was jambalaya . Everything was delicious. I also recommend the trout and my husband likes the French dip. Enjoy your meal there. Everything is good. Be sure to look at the bar and the way they arrange the bottles. Really pretty.
Ordered french dip....meat overdone. Side of broccoli with spicey seasoning that the waiter knew nothing about. Said it was just steamed. Couldnt eat no discount. Husband had a chicken salad that he thoroughly enjoyed. Nice waiter. Beautiful restaurant. Yummy lava cake.
It’s been a few years since we came back. Food is good, but explanations of some side dishes sounded too sweet tasting to pair with a meal. Disappointed. Even our salad was very sweet tasting. Grilled artichokes were great. Banana pie dessert was my birthday dessert, but way too sweet. Missed having some meringue on top. Lots of potential here. Would work on less options that are so sweet.
We have been regulars here for years, but tonight maybe the last time we visit for a long, long time. I have to say our server tonight was super nice, however the food was awful! Our appetizer came out cold and after the waiter took it back it was a pretty long wait for a new one. I kept cool, it was one thing, no big deal. However, when dinner came my husbands food was barely warm. He couldn't eat it like that so again back it went. My fish was so salty, I think the only reason I ate it was because I was starving! At least it was hot, unlike my side. There was clearly an issue with the kitchen tonight as I saw multiple dishes from other tables going back and the manager approaching ALL of them....ALL of them EXCEPT OURS! I even watched her go over to one twice! We didn't even get an apology when our dishes were redelivered. I clearly saw our server talking to the manager multiple times and do not doubt he informed her that we had to send not one, but two dishes back tonight. Never mind the fact that my dish was terrible and because I was too tired after a two week long business trip to deal with any more, let it go. All I wanted was a good meal after 2 weeks on the road with crap food and what I got was probably one of the worst ever. I'm so disappointed in a restaurant that has been my go to, count on place for consistent food I'm not sure when if ever I'll return.
