White Chocolate Grill - Park Meadows Ratings and Reviews
We usually love WCG but this visit not so much. My wife and I ordered a Salad to split and a main dish. They both came out at the same time. Who does that? We sent the main dish back until we were finished with the salad. My friend ordered the French Dip and it was way too rare. He was hungry so he ate it anyway but said it was terrible. He should have sent it back but didn't want to wait. Service was just so-so. We will be back but this was not a great dinning experience.
The biggest issue that we had was that it took almost 20 mins to get seated even with a reservation. And one of the members of my party ordered a salad for lunch and this arrived and was eaten before the rest of our food was delivered. This was rectified by the manager giving us 2 free desserts.
We enjoyed our experience with the restaurant however I found a fly in my wine. The waiter kindly took it back to replace and the new wine was less than I had to begin with . I know that restaurants need to stick to their bottom lines but that was ridiculous. They should have replaced it with a whole glass portion. Dissapointment. I don't drink alot so I was suprised.
It is predictably delicious, and the service is always good, sometimes excellent. I have been there many times, and I don't think I have ever had a bad experience. My biggest complaint is that White Chocolate Grill is too far from my home. If it was closer, I'd eat there all the time!
We go here on special occasions and extended overnight dates, since we live far away. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is expected to be priced higher and of higher quality. But, the food quality has slipped. Grilled artichoke appetizer was small, burned, difficult to eat and not enough food for an appetizer. Ceasar salad was good and fresh. First entree was the parm crusted filet, ordered medium, which was over cooked on the edges and rare in the middle. It was not an even filet cut so it cooked very unevenly. Second entree was chicken crepes, which were nothing special and forgettable. Service was excellent. Ambiance is dark, tries to be quiet but it's big dining area and gets noisy when full - wouldn't have minded if the food was worth it.
The artichokes were tasty. The croissant bread pudding was A-mazing! The main entree, Parmesan encrusted steaks, were ok...but certainly not the best. (I've had better at run of the mill chain restaurants.) They were rather dry and definitely not MR as requested. The side dishes were lacking as well. But we will definitely go back... just not for steaks as obviously it's not their specialty.
We've been to WCG at least 20x with mostly favorable experiences. This was one of our least rewarding visits. The service was less attentive than usual but still quite adequate. The main problem was the speed with which our food was NOT delivered. It took forever! A grilled chicken sandwich with fries and the Miami Beach shrimp salad are not difficult entrees to prepare. At 2PM on a Tuesday, the restaurant was not crowded. It took at least 30 minutes to get them. Tables around us were waiting a long time too. When the salad came, I was stunned and said aloud, "Wow, that's pretty small" Our server was within earshot and looked at what had arrived. She said, "Wow, yeah, you're right. I'll take it back." It came out about 5-10 minutes later looking more normal in size. Our apple dessert also took a long time. We know it needs to be baked (we've been down this road many times) and yet the time getting the food to the table seemed once again excessive. It tasted great but by then we were dismayed with our overall lunch experience. We have written many favorable reviews of WCG and will probably return despite the fact we were highly disappointed this time.
Although the service was good, I have nut allergies. When I returned the squash because it had nuts in it, the waiter was accommodating to my needs. Unfortunately, it seems that the staff simply removed the nuts from the dish, but nut allergies like mine are contact - meaning the food can not come in contact at all with nuts. I had a severe reaction and a rough night overall since I could not continue to interact with my social group once my allergic reaction began. I had to cut my night short and it did not end on a good note. I will most likely not return to this restaurant since it appears they do not take allergies seriously.
This is a really fun place to go. My wife wanted to celebrate her birthday by taking our daughter and her family (total of six people) out to dinner. We suggested White Chocolate Grill. I'm still puzzled by the name as it's not a dessert place. The food is great. With six people, we had a variety of entrees from crab cakes to steak and drinks from lemonade to Prosecco. Everything was great. As for me, I opted for the Idaho Rainbow Trout. It's grilled over a wood fire and the flavor of the fish is about the best I've experienced. I washed it down with a couple of Stellas. Our server, Jenn, did a great job keeping up with our group which included two teenagers. A few of us had dessert, and they were all big and delicious. I hated myself the next morning.
I met some friends for lunch and we were able to sit out on the patio-in October. The weather was perfect, the service was exceptional and the food was fabulous. Our server was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Some of us had the Steak Cobb Salad and some had the Salmon Salad. Another friend had a sandwich. We all loved our food. There is a reason this restaurant is the most popular in the area. We definitely will return!
I love this restaurant. My husband and I go for lunch almost weekly. But this time I visited with my friend to celebrate her birthday. Making the reservation on Open Table, I checked the box that I was celebrating a birthday. In the comments, I mentioned (again) that I was celebrating my friend's birthday. Not a single person in the restaurant could even say, "Happy Birthday". This is a small thing, but small things matter.
We love trying new restaurants. So we stopped in for dinner. My wife had the Rotisserie Chicken Crapes with Honey Roasted Carrots and I had the BBQ Trio with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The flavors of the food were outstanding and portion sizes were generous. The BBQ Trio came with a half of chicken, half rack of ribs (slow roasted to perfection), and a generous helping of pulled pork (leftovers for sandwich the next day). The Honey Roasted Carrots could have been a dessert dish. Only disappointment in food for the night was the potatoes cuz they were just average potatoes.
Ambiance was good, the TVs at the bar were a negative (as a slight distraction from wife, got caught watching sport highlights). Noise level was moderate depending on the crowd.
Service was excellent from our server, however, design of the restaurant made it difficult for servers to stay on top of keeping drinks full. But servers attentiveness kept on top of it through the meal.
Too full for dessert, but will be back for desserts for two in the future.
Everyone in our group thought the food was very good. The service staff was attentive without being intrusive and we had fun with all of them. The only draw back was the noise level. Sometimes it was difficult to hear everyone in our party. Overall it was a nice experience.
Very busy on a Saturday night, though we got in right away with a reservation. Good service. Entrees arrived quickly. Nice selection of draft beer. We didn't sit in the bar, but it looked quite lively and inviting. Food good overall, not great. Trout entree and steaks are recommended. Chicken Marsala arrived somewhat cold. Good desserts. Fairly noisy before 8pm. There are a lot of restaurant choices at Park Meadows. White Chocolate Grill is decent, but we'll try some other places before we return.
Should have realized this is a mall restaurant - turn and burn/rushed feel.
Our server wanted to start drinks/apps before my husband had a chance to get to the table and before I even had a chance to open my menu. Then we were rushed to put in our dinner order when we ordered apps. Sadly, dinner came right on top of the apps (we barely had time to start eating them).
Food was just ok - nothing special. The Caprese Salad was just sad - a bowlful of cherry tomatoes and cheese.
We were hoping for a nice night out and felt rushed the entire meal. We wont be going back
Lunch was very good. The kitchen does a great job with execution and the ingredients are yummy. Our server was attentive and cheerful and we were seated where we could comfortably talk business. We enjoyed ourselves. As this was a celebration for my client/guest we ordered a Mimosa and a Prosecco from the bar. The drinks were excessively priced, especially for a lunch menu. This restaurant has long been one of my 1st choices for business and guest events. However, it's losing ground. The last two times I've been there the drinks were both stingy and overpriced. I'll likely seek out another spot for entertaining my clients.
I've always have had a great experience here. Unfortunately, this time it was so so. My entree
They were gracious and took it away and off my bill.
Great service on their very sunny patio made it real nice as well. My friends had a steak sandwich and white chocolate burger 🍔 and were very happy.
I left full on my liquid diet of two margaritas with
Patron Reposado and now realizing I'm hungry and still haven't had lunch. 😩
Oh hells bells
Anyway, this place is one of my faves. I've been here a dozen times and this is the first boo boo. So, no biggie
Btw, the do cater to your American Dolls.
