White Chocolate Grill - Park Meadows Ratings and Reviews
We came to celebrate a promotion at my husbands job. We love this place but this time was disappointing. I ordered the southern chicken salad which I get every time. I can't remember exactly but I believe it's approximately $16. My salad was very mediocre and not at all worth that price.
I ordered it without egg and it came with egg. They took it back but the new salad was mostly lettuce and very few of anything else. NO avocados at all, chicken was minimal and maybe 3-4 tomatoes and some bacon. It was a bummer as we were there to celebrate and the dinner was around $175 with drinks and such. I'll still give it another try but it is not worth$16 for a salad of mostly lettuce. I felt like the waiter should have checked in on us as well.
Once a favorite place of mine; the food was always amazing. This time, not so much. The guacamole was underwhelming. I had the Cobb steak salad. The meat was a little tough and the greens more than wilted. My companion ordered the jambalaya... being from Louisiana, i was anticipating sampling the jambalaya. I tasted the jambalaya; it was bland.
Don't know if I will return... after so many wonderful culinary memories, this was such a disappointment.
We usually love WCG but this visit not so much. My wife and I ordered a Salad to split and a main dish. They both came out at the same time. Who does that? We sent the main dish back until we were finished with the salad. My friend ordered the French Dip and it was way too rare. He was hungry so he ate it anyway but said it was terrible. He should have sent it back but didn't want to wait. Service was just so-so. We will be back but this was not a great dinning experience.
The biggest issue that we had was that it took almost 20 mins to get seated even with a reservation. And one of the members of my party ordered a salad for lunch and this arrived and was eaten before the rest of our food was delivered. This was rectified by the manager giving us 2 free desserts.
We enjoyed our experience with the restaurant however I found a fly in my wine. The waiter kindly took it back to replace and the new wine was less than I had to begin with . I know that restaurants need to stick to their bottom lines but that was ridiculous. They should have replaced it with a whole glass portion. Dissapointment. I don't drink alot so I was suprised.
It is predictably delicious, and the service is always good, sometimes excellent. I have been there many times, and I don't think I have ever had a bad experience. My biggest complaint is that White Chocolate Grill is too far from my home. If it was closer, I'd eat there all the time!
We go here on special occasions and extended overnight dates, since we live far away. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is expected to be priced higher and of higher quality. But, the food quality has slipped. Grilled artichoke appetizer was small, burned, difficult to eat and not enough food for an appetizer. Ceasar salad was good and fresh. First entree was the parm crusted filet, ordered medium, which was over cooked on the edges and rare in the middle. It was not an even filet cut so it cooked very unevenly. Second entree was chicken crepes, which were nothing special and forgettable. Service was excellent. Ambiance is dark, tries to be quiet but it's big dining area and gets noisy when full - wouldn't have minded if the food was worth it.
