Overall, my wife and I had a good experience. We had a reservation for 7:45 but were not seated until 8:05. The waitress was personable and stayed on top of our drinks. The cocktails were well made and delicious. The food was only okay. The sea bass was a little overcooked and so it was tougher than I would have liked. The creole sauce on top didn't do much for the dish either. So for 28 bucks, the best part was the broccoli! My wife had the jambalaya and it was tasty. We had dessert, and I was underwhelmed.
So overall, good drinks, good service, okay food. 100 bucks was too much for the quality of the food. That being said, I would come back and have one of the 9 cocktails.
Meeting with friends and food was good and great service. The white Chocolate Brownie was yummy.
Tonight was a special evening in many ways, but the highlight was our server Becky. My husband and I eat out all the time and Becky is the BEST server we ever had. She was polite, efficient, attentive, and fun. She checked on us after “first bite” and made sure everything was prepared as we like and affirmed our special requests. We never felt rushed or left alone too long. I cant put into words all the details of our experience. I do know we will be coming back soon and not just for the good food!
Very interesting menu, great selection, excellent service. Main eating area tends to be a bit loud. Other areas are fine.
Whole family had a fantastic dinner. Desserts were phenomenal . Already looking forward to the next event to go.
Despite having a reservation we had to wait but management was apologetic
Amazing food and service! Quite noisy though. I’d go back again in a heartbeat.
Their white Chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake is the best!
All was excellent except for one thing. I ordered salmon new orleans and presentation was really bland. I was surprised about that. I was expecting better. Ambiance and service really good though and so is the food. I will go back again with my family soon. Thanks!😀
Daughters 16 birthday with all her friends food was great and service was great!!
Love this restaurant!!
We really enjoyed the meal and the service. The desserts were amazing and worth a second return!!
The food was excellent. I had the Prime Rib (served bone-in) and my wife had the chefs daily special, barramundi. The prime rib was absolutely fantastic. The side, Brussels Sprouts with almonds was unique but very flavorful. The Brussels Sprouts were shredded like Cole-slaw and it was a new concept for me but it was an excellent side. The Horseradish sauce is among the best I've had. Far superior to Morton's and Ruth's Chris' at half the price. My wife said the barramundi was very good, not excellent but very good. The only issue we (she) had was that the cook/chef left a bit of skin/sinew on at the tail end of the filet that was tough hence incredibly fishy. She actually spit it out and cut away the bottom inch of the filet and thoroughly enjoyed the rest.
I had a Grey Goose Martini and had asked it be shaken violently (bruised) because I like the first few sips when there are bits of ice shards and its foggy from the shaking. But it came completely clear. Though it was a good stiff drink it was not quite to my 'perfection' standards. For Martini's Catch 35 and Kiku are far superior. But it was acceptable.
he desert, was excellent. A Bananas concoction with dairy cream/pudding layered on top of a granola type pie shell with chocolate chips in it. This was really nice. Very well balanced flavors, not at all heavy or rich like LAVA cakes and the like tend to be. It was a nice, sweet (not too sweet) smooth and well balanced dish. I shared whit with my wife and though she rarely partakes in desert she loved it.
The atmosphere was far too loud for us. It is as they say in the options for this review site 'Vibrant'. But just too loud for us. I like the dim lighted atmosphere and the decor is very good at this pride point. Nice California stone type walls.
The restroom was absolutely sterile. In a good way. Perfectly maintained.
Over all The White Chocolate Grill is an excellent place to eat.
We enjoyed the house wine and the crab cakes as well as the Chicken Madeira. Good service, a nice meal altogether.
My wife and I both had the Filet, it was fantastic! This was our first visit at White Chocolate Grill. The staff was outstanding and friendly. The atmosphere was great for a date night. The meal was a bit on the more expensive side for just 2, but worth every penny. We went on a Friday night, and it was of course very busy. Luckily we made reservations, as the wait was about an hour or more for walk-ins.
Overall we were extremely pleased with this restaurant, can’t wait to come back!
Love this place! Everything that I have tried is delicious and the staff is super friendly!
What a wonderful experience for a 12 year Anniversary. The lighting, soft music, whispering conversation of other parties, along with the great tasting entries, was just the setting need to the grand finale of a weekend.
White ChocolateGrill Staff and Chef.
Always great food and good for families.
Great food and fantastic desserts! Definitely plan ahead and get a reservation.
Overall a wonderful experience EXCEPT there was a 45 minute wait even with a reservation
Manager gave out cards for free appetizers but it may have been too little too late
Service a little slower than I expected
The other couple had a concern regarding the amount of fat on the prime rib, the manager came right away. By then my friend decided the meat was delicious. The manager offered to Compton the meal, which was not necessary. She then offered free desert. She handled it very well. My friend felt that she could live with the fat since the flavor was outstanding. She is a little picky.
They were very impressed and plan on returning. It was a first for them.
Thanks so much. We love it always.
I ordered the barramundi special . My fish was bad. It was spoiled I had to send it back. It was so bad it smelled up the room. The cook should’ve noticed it was bad before he cooked it and send it to my table. My waiter was apologetic and asked if he could bring me another dish but after that I had no taste for fish. Needless to say I will not be going back to this restaurant.
Very nice and wonderful service. Food was very good.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the western suburbs. Great location -
Seated 45 min after reservation time. Food was not as good as a few years ago. Only dessert was what I expected.
We were seated 35 minutes after our reservation time. The manager gave us a free appetizer to appease us, but I would have rather been seated at our reservation time.
We had a reservation for 7:00 pm and it was super busy - they couldn't seat us till 7:25 which we didn't mind it was ok just to wait and talk. But once we were seated the manager came over to apologize and offered us a free appetizer - it was very nice and unexpected. Service was great and food was very good!! Will definitely go back!!
The food was very good. The restaurant was VERY noisy. So noisy I could not converse with my husband sitting across from me without leaning over the table and speaking VERY loud. If you are looking for a romantic dinner to celebrate your anniversary-which we were-this is not the place.
Great food. Service was excellent. Noise level was not great , found it hard to have table discussions where we were sat . Avoid sitting at in the bar area .
Food was excellent. Waiter quickly realized we were there to visit/catch-up and didn’t rush us. I have hearing aids, so asked to be seated against a wall which helps with being able to diminish background noise. I asked the hostess and she seated me immediately in the last remaining table against a wall.👍
I’ve been here before but not for a long time. Will not wait so long before I visit again!
White Chocolate Grill is always a great option for many tasty meal selections and a comfortable setting. I recommend it to others in the western suburbs.
Service was fast and friendly, food was good all around. I had the Ahi tuna salad which was wonderful, my son had the filet salad which he loved. The only negative was the dessert - we ordered the daily special, cream pie with oreo crust. The crust was so hard we couldn't split it to share and the filling was just so-so.
Great food and great service!
Easter brunch. Got sick after the meal but I’ve eaten here many times and love it.
This was Easter brunch. They had eggs benedict with either crab cakes, or a steak. We took the crab cakes. This was a holiday event; does not always have this special. Desert was also excellent. Service was excellent.
We went for Ester and had one of their specials which was delicious. For those of you who don't want a buffet this is a nice option. We had great service with a friendly wait staff.
Decided to go to brunch for easter and found one early at White Chocolate Grill. Excited to try it and so glad we did. Had their Eggs Benedict both the steak and seafood. We kicked the plate clean. Can't wait to try dinner there next.
Get the bread pudding! It was terrific. I ordered the blue cheese crusted filet. It was fabulous.
Since it was Saturday and we had not planned where to eat, we explored OpenTable for available reservation times at a convenient restaurant. We saw several openings at this restaurant in continuous 15 min intervals. We assumed that we would be seated rather quickly upon arrival. However, upon arrival the waiting area was full and the hostess handed me a pager, despite having a reservation. I waited over 30 minutes to be called. When I challenged the hostess about our reservation, she informed me that my pager was not working and that they would seat me at that time. The entire time we waited within plain view and speaking distance from the hostess stand, but they never looked for us when they did not get a response after having supposedly paged us. The manager came to our table with an apology and coupons for a free appetizer for our "NEXT" visit. With this kind of service and management, good luck on a "NEXT" visit from any customer.
The blonde brownie was amazing though!!!!
We had to wait around 15 minutes past our reservation time for a table. We weren't concerned but the floor manager comped us an appetizer for the delay.
The only bad part of our experience is their web site says they have scallops but the in-restaurant menu didn't and the waiter confirmed they no longer offer them. This did put off one of our group as scallops are her favorite.
