White Barn Inn
Mon-Thu 6:00 pm–9:00 pm
Fri–Sun 5:30 pm–9:00 pm
We had a lovely evening here with friends. Delicious food and excellent wine pairings. Our server Chris was very attentive and added a special touch to this culinary experience. Expensive....but worth it!
All I can say is it exceeded my expectations everyone has to go here once in there life. Imoecabl food and service bot not pretentious
Hope to go again if I ever return to Maine
We had a wonderful anniversary celebration at the White Barn.
Dinner was amazing and the service excellent.
From the valet service, who happily volunteered to take our picture, to dessert, we could not have asked for
a more memorable evening.
This was our 3rd visit to the Inn. We have celebrated our 25th and 46th Anniversaries at the White Barn restaurant and have truly enjoyed each visit. We hope to return soon for another romantic dinner.
One of our favorites. Been about six times now. Latest visit was to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and 50th Birthdays. The food & serice is the best we’ve found in Maine. The atmosphere is fantastic, noise level is low and other diners always seem to appreciate and respect the low key atmosphere. Already looking forward to our next special occasion.
I gave the restaurant a 5star as it was very good but a few things stick out that I would like to mention. The bar is tiny. The bartender was friendly but busy serving the whole restaurant. I also would have thought a local craft cocktail may have been suggested. Our waiter was very nice & knowledgeable & the backwaiters
made the service wonderful; they could have told us what we were about to enjoy though. The food was thoughtfully prepared and very good but I have had as good a meal for much less money. Farm to table restaurants are all over today so paying $125 for a meal is steep. The added touch of the granola bars in our car was top notch!!
As usual, a treat to have dinner
there. Always exceeds expectations.
AMAZING. Sensory overload.
Arrived a day early for our dinner. They did an excellent job and accommodated us and we had a fantastic dinner, chief indulgence with wine paring. Treated like regulars.
Some dishes were excellent and creative. Others were a miss. Swordfish was precooked and reheated resulting a dish that tasted like leftovers
Exceptional food and service. We enjoyed every bite selected from the prix fixe menu - especially the tuna tartare, foie gras, lobster bisque, halibut and the desserts. The staff do a terrific job of providing wonderful, gracious service. This is a very special dining experience. We will return.
The Grace White Barn Inn restaurant is perfect if you're looking to be spoiled, pampered, served top quality and creative delights perpared by the region's top chefs. This was the perfect setting for our milestone anniversary and I wanted it to be perfect for my wife. The staff exceeded our expectations the moment we walked in the door.
We will be back again.

We were visiting the area & a friend said to goto the White Barn Inn. It was in an old barn & was beautiful and it was absolutely delicious. The service is wonderful as well. Very attentive,
We had four courses & there were also little extras - they brought out ceviche, Panna Cotta, & extra little sweets at the end of dinner.
Pricey but worth it for a special occasion.
Desserts and Apps were very good. Mains were just ok. Wine pairing overpriced for what you get. Ambiance/ room extraordinary.
So amazing . Made my birthday weekend . Crazy expensive but worth it for those moments to be remembered ❤️
Superb local cuisine beautifully rendered in a lovely, romantic setting.
You will not be wanting for anything here.
Best in Class from the minute we walked in until we left.
Very attentive and made our 30th Wedding Anniversary a special evening
Vacation, awesome experience and loved every minute!
This was the best restaurant I have ever been to. The live piano was wonderful, the gorgeous restaurant was the loveliest I’ve seen, and the food and staff were both phenomenal . Highly recommended!
Great, fun experience. Awesome 4 course dinner. The barn itself is beautiful, will definitely go back when in maine.
Fine dining with creative menu. Service is excellent. True 5 star experience.
Very pleasant evening. Staff were particularly pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent as always. When we are in Kennebunkport we try to have dinner there.
The service, food and ambiance were perfect for celebrating our 40th Anniversary! Everything was delicious and the many special touches made for an over the top experience. We would love to be to return!!
This restaurant has lost it's appeal due to being WAY to fancy, and not up to date with the current needs of the millennial public. Food was to over the top, TO expensive, TO many courses. And not that outstanding to fetch the prices they require. It's a good thing they opened up the bistro, it may save there butt.
Overall, the experience was satisfying. Right from driving into the driveway, the staff was polite and attentive. All through the evening, waitstaff was right there to make sure you were taken care of, but not overbearing. The wine list is pretty extensive, quality for sure, but expensive. I felt the meal was very good, but I did not get the wow experience. Again, it was very good though. I thought maybe the gazpacho was a little too salty. The lamb was tender, flavorful and a pleasant dish. My understanding is the duck was equally as good. The soufflé was prepared just right and paired well with the house made ice cream. The chocolate hazelnut pave was tasty, but extremely rich and filling.
Again, overall it was a very, very nice meal. It left me wondering if we are so fortunate to live in a state with so many excellent restaurants that one with such a great reputation does not standout alone above the others? However, it was worth the hourlong drive to enjoy the evening.
Very enjoyable. Limited menu but creative and well done. Service was excellent. Expensive but you get what you pay for.
One of the absolute best meals and service that I have had anywhere on the globe.
Exceptional food an cuisine with outstanding, attentive and gracious service at every turn. You will enjoy a "price-fixe" menu meaning, four courses at a set price. A "Chef's tasting menu" is also available at slight premium, as are supplements to the fixed menu... caviar, with appetizers, primarily. They have an extensive wine list that features some of the finest wines available. However, be aware that this being 5-star restaurant, you should bring along a well-funded wallet. It is nonetheless, worth it. You absolutely will not leave hungry.
A phenomenal restaurant! Great ambiance. Service was excellent. The food was exceptional. We had a superb anniversary dinner. Would definitely return and highly recommend it.
We went there to relax after babysitting for our grandkids for five days. It was the perfect choice! The tuna tartare was outstanding and the duck breast was cooked perfectly and delicious. Going to the White Barn Inn for dinner has been on my bucket list for years. Happy we finally got there and we’ll be back.
A truly great experience. The food and presentation are simply outstanding and the piano player provided the perfect ambiance for the evening. Furthermore, the wait staff are simply superb. Have nothing but outstanding comments re: the White Barn.
Great service, but almost too formal for a beach town. Same with the menu.
Did really enjoy the piano in the bar area.
Outstanding! A wonderful choice for celebrating our wedding anniversary.
Our experience was wonderful! Our server, Andrew, was very knowledgeable about the food and about wine. He suggested a more suitable wine for our dinners of lamb and duck than I had originally ordered. The four-course menu was $125.00 per person, plus gratuity and alcohol.
The meal began with avocado and something (?) shooter, and it was finished with petit fours. In between appetizer, main course, and dessert. A lovely mango and something (?) sorbet, and husband had melon and prosciutto sorbet, with a tiny piece of prosciutto on top. Duck breast and spring lamb for dinner.
Just wow.... I'm forgetting all of the experience because there was so much to take in. A special occasion place for dinner, but there is always brunch and lunch. A must-do place and experience.
Service from start to finish was amazing. If you desire a cocktail at the piano bar before being seated (even though your table is ready), that is fine. You are not rushed, courses are appropriately spaced out, and served with a flourish. Every bite of food was portioned perfectly and savored slowly in order to prolong the experience. The special gift waiting for you in your car as you leave was unexpected and topped off the experience perfectly.
Was really excited to go when we walked in, it is very pretty! Staff were awkward and food was very disappointing. Will not go again.
This restaurant was recommended by a neighbor. It did not disappoint! We were on a 6 week road trip and the White Barn Inn was an important part of our itinerary. The restaurant is first class with ambiance, menu selections, the piano player in the background, the excellent service and the fabulous food! We didn’t want the evening to end... Absolutely fabulous place for dinner!
Have been to the White Barn over the years for special occasions and it does not disappoint in terms of ambiance and service. A beautifully appointed antique New England barn with white tablecloths. The service was excellent and our waitress knew the menu inside and out and could answer any question we had. Yet, the place felt out of date with it's awkwardly quiet dining room and old fashioned piano player. We felt we couldn't share a laugh or speak above a whisper for fear of "breaking protocol." I think it's time to revisit who you are trying to attract and what kind of ambiance those patrons seek. Younger people who appreciate and can afford the menu, don't wan't to feel like they are in a home for the elderly but prefer more of a buzz, there's really an outdated feeling about the place now.....
The food was very good for the most part although a few items were disappointing. The lobster entree was rather boring with a creamy sauce that was too rich. The Grand Marnier souffle was undercooked and not that flavorful either. The appetizers and other courses were delicious. The breads were delicious but not even warm.
Overall, a disappointing night for a hefty $200 pp.
