Food was good, as usual. SO LOUD in main dining room...way too loud. Wouldn’t want to sit in that room again.
Our server Brooke was attentive. We had the Margherita Pizza, the Spinach and Kale salad and the Entree Caesar salad. All were excellent. We will visit again.
It was really nice
My wife’s B-Day
Service was great
Had a great meal here with another couple on a Saturday night. Two of us were celebrating our birthdays and they acknowledged that with free dessert and some take home fresh pasta and sauce. What a nice touch! Very cozy restaurant and helpful attentive service. The flatbread and salads were excellent, and you can’t go wrong with any of their freshly made pastas. Highly recommend.
Our party of 4 was seated promptly with excellent wait staff throughout the evening. The food was outstanding!
Service and food were good, but the salads were brought out with the meal instead of before. Makes it hard to eat both.
We had a reservation- through Open Table for a 6pm seating. When we arrived, we realized there was a happy hour with VERY loud music at the bar. We saw there were many empty tables in the rear dining section and asked the host/matre'd if we could have a table back there due to the noise. He said he was sorry, but they could not accommodate us.
We were seated right neAr the bar area and were preparing to go elsewhere, but our server was sooo very nice that we decided to tough out the loudness and stay. It was difficult for the servers also, as they had to lean in and ask everything to be repeated.
Main dish was good, but the salad had 1 1/2 cherry tomatoes that were not. Taste buds were not happy with those little rotters.....
So- go for Fri happy hour (with music!!!) if you like that- but don't go for dining and conversation unless it's after 8.
Great spot for dinner. We came in time for the Happy Hour special at the bar!! Very happy with the food and service.
Easter buffet was poorly managed and the food was either over cooked or cold. They should stick to regular menu.
We've eaten at Wheatfields on numerous occasions and have always had a positive experience. The food is fresh and well prepared. The service is exceptional.
My Moms B Day
I have eaten at this Italian restaurant numerous times and find the food to be very good, generally. Today was an exception. Because it was St. Patrick's day, I ordered the corned beef and boiled vegetables from the "Chef's Specials" menu. The food was flavored nicely, but the corned beef was so tough it was served with a steak knife; and some of the meat was so leathery it could not be chewed. I realize it was probably ill-advised to order Irish food in an Italian restaurant, but I expected better from Wheatfields.
My husband and I went for supper. We were seated next to the bar area and there was live music at the bar so it was a little noisy but we enjoyed the music. I had a red sangria which was very good and my husband had a blue moon beer. We both had tossed salads. I ordered the chicken & sausage scarpetta which was very good and there was enough leftovers for lunch the next day. My husband had the shrimp scampi which he said was also very good. We were too full to order dessert. Wait staff was very attentive.
Restaurant has a big bar area with quite a few tables and there was another dining room in the back besides the one we were in. Atmosphere seemed warm and there was a fire place with comfortable chairs next to it.
Server Sarah was only positive about the place, made reservation and gad to wait like 15/20 min to be seated although several empty tables, food was not as expected, bread old reused brick hard, had to mention item twice to management before the server actually took care of it and had removed from Bill, very noisy, management brought food then had to wait 15 min for grated cheese, they were too busy for aMt staff on,
We had the best waitstaff! It was my DIL’s BIRTHDAY and they went out of their way to be attentive and friendly.
Food was good, delivered all together. Even my 9 month old granddaughter was made to feel welcomed!
It was our first time at Wheatfields but definitely not our last! The service was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. The restaurant was busy as it was Saturday night, but that didn't affect the service or food quality. It was a lovely night.
Painfully slow service. Thirty minutes to get an entree.
Loved my waitress and the food was incredible! Great for a casual meal, or date.
Brunch with friends was extremely enjoyable. The food was great, fantastic service and great atmosphere including the piano player.
Wonderful!! Great New Year’s Day dining experience!!
Food was very good and came out in a timely manner. Our server seemed to be in a different world and didn't pay much attention to us.
Great place to start New Years Eve celebration with a great dinner!
SERVICE IS VERY FRIENDLY PROFESSIONAL. THE FOOD COMPLIMENTS THE SERVICE. WOULD RECOMMEND IT FOR CASUAL LUNCH TO FINE DINNER.
Evening started out fairly good, drinks quickly. Could not get near the bar, very crowded, no big deal, they sat us early. Appitizers, fair, Salads poor, little if any dressing on everybodys salads, 6 people. Meal portions on the small size. Deserts good. Service, poor, the main thing that I hate, and is is becoming more common, is they NEVER, pick up the old dishes, before the next course comes out. So they make you pick up the dirty plate, they set the next course down, then they take the dirty plate from me. As the evening progressed, service got worse. We were waiting to process the bill, no waiter, finally saw him carrying out silverware and napkins to the wait station. I always tip in cash, at that time, I dropped the tip from $70.00 to $50.00
Consistently good food and service year after year.
This is the second visit here. The service was very good, the food was good. It was very loud in the bar area but that’s expected on a Friday night.
My only complaint was that the GPS directions left us in the middle of RT87 instead of taking us to the Plazza.
Food in Saratoga wheatfield’s soooo much better. Waiter was a little lazy too. Brought wrong drinks too. Won’t go back
We visited Wheatfield's on Christmas Eve and had a thoroughly enjoyable time w/ great service and great food! My daughter really wanted to try the restaurant and she was not disappointed!
Our server was great - she was happy, polite and attentive, so you can't ask for anything more!
Food and service were outstanding. Waitress was very attentive to our needs and asked several times how did we enjoy our dinners.
Nice place to enjoy our Christmas Eve dinner.
Took over two hours to get our meal waitress was good letting us know and filling our bread and drinks. They said they would give us free dessert because of the wait for all four but only gave us one free dessert. Only discovered after I paid for the meal. If that is normal wait time I will never go back it destroyed my moms birthday dinner.
This was our second experience with Wheatfield's. The first time, several years ago, we tried a family meal to go. Plenty of food for the price, but our five kids didn't really enjoy it. We received a gift card last Christmas that was expiring soon, so we decided to try a sit down meal with our two teen boys and a family friend. The restaurant looked lovely from where we entered, but our seats were close to the kitchen and rear exit, so there went the beauty. We were disappointed with the food as well. All of us felt that the spices had been left out of the dishes we tried; each one was very bland. We did enjoy the bread that preceded the meal, but the supply was stingy (one small piece per person). While we appreciate the thoughtfulness of the individual who gave us the gift card, it is not a restaurant that we will be visiting again.
Our meals and the service were exceptional. Highly recommend Wheatfields for fine food, great atmosphere as exceptional service.
We had a pleasant dining experience. The service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal.
First time here and oh my goodness that calamari was to die for! Our waitress was awesome she even treated us to cake for our anniversary! Nice place, will return.
We were seated at a booth which was plenty big enough for the four of us and it was away from the loud crowd at the bar so it was perfect for being able to have good conversation. I had the lobster ravioli which I thought was excellent. The eggplant rolatini and the chicken rigitone also got a thumbs up from the table.
We took advantage of happy hour and had dinner. The service was great. Even though it was very busy, we had a good experience. I ordered shrimp scampi with rice linguine as I am gluten free, it was a little bland and needed more sauce, but it was ok. My friend had crab cakes which she enjoyed and my other friend had the bolognese and loved it. Overall a great time!
We received terrific service from waitress Sara.
she made meal delightful.
Seated immediately. Service kind of on the slow side. Seemed to take too long to get our bread, entrees. Good attention for water refills, checking if our food was ok.
We went for the Monday Meatball Special and were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious. We were seated in a quiet booth per request. Server was friendly but appeared pre-occupied. Had to ask for our drinks quite awhile after her taking our order, had to ask for water and grated cheese as well. Otherwise it was perfect!
This was our first visit to Wheatfields and we will go again. I had read reivews regarding noise levels and was concerned that it would be too noisy for our older group. The front room where the bar is located is very lively. However the backrooms are very comfortable. We were celebrating the birthday of our 94 year old friend and we were not disturbed at all by the bar. The food was very good - everyone was happy with their meal and deserts. The squash soup was a particular favorite. Tracy, our server was very attentive and our meal was presented flawlessly.
