Food was great, and service was good. Little too noisy for a date but other than that it was great.

Great ambiance. Food was superb. Reservations are recommended. Our group of 5 was pleasantly surprised, including our “foodie” from out of state. Apps were perfect portions, food was delish. Would highly suggest as special occasion..i.e anniversary, birthday etc...though just a nice fri night dinner works too. My absolutely only complaint is that it was a little LOUD, but that may be that it was a Saturday night, and crowded/busy. Would happily go again.

Very good food, incredible Italian “baked” homemade ice cream!!! A little bit over crowded for a quiet date. Shoot to eat after 7 pm to avoid families with small children, which seems ridiculous given the atmosphere and price of this restaurant.

Excellent service, food, wine and atmosphere. The filet with crab entree combined with garlic mashed potatoes and salad with vanilla vinagarette dressing was delicious. Will be back soon for sure!

Aside from my meal being too salty, I have no complaints. Our server was awesome and the staff was friendly and professional. I had the braised short ribs. The meat was tasty, but the sauce was way too salty for me. Other people in our party had lobster ravioli and the filet dinner, which they said was awesome. We definitely would come again!

My filet was a special and it didn't have much flavor. That being said it was 9 ounces with no fat or griSsel. My husband had the Osso Buco and said it was amazing.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone going to Hershey for a fun night out. It is a little loud, since it is in the basement, but the food was very good and wait staff was very helpful.

I have been coming to Hershey for over forty years and Eat at least one meal, during my stay, at What If. The food and service are outstanding . The staff are friendly and welcome me each time I arrive. My only suggestion (now that I'm 80) would be to put a hand railing on the back entrance stairway. I'll be back next yea

Every year we do a trade show in Hershey and our Saturday tradition is to have dinner at What If. We are never disappointed. The appetizers are great...our table had two orders of the pierogies. Good stuff. Entrees are reasonable and very tasty...meat, seafood or pasta. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Hershey.

We have been coming here for about 10 years when we are in town for a trade show. One of the better restaurants we have found around the country. We sometimes come 2 times in a weekend. Love the special cheese tray and the Calamari appetizers. We usually try the specials - Salmon and steak are always great. Wonderful wait staff! Looking forward to next year.

It's been a while since eating at What If....and it was a disappointment from the last few times. The food tasted good but the value wasn't good. Their shrimp and scallops entree was tasty, but paying $28 for three small shrimp and three size scallops was not what we were expecting. For that price there should have been at least four jumbo shrimp and four scallops.

My friends and I had a lovely evening. Our waitress was superb and the food was delicious. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars was I felt the restaurant and restrooms could use some updating.

This was our second time at "What if"..both times were for pre-concert meals. This place is a hidden gem... the food is fantastic, service is good, food comes out hot and delicious and the prices are very good. They have a really pleasant, knowledgeable staff and the dining room is cozy and quiet so you can have a dinner conversation. We can't wait till we come back to Hershey again to go here for another meal. We highly recommend this place.

This is usually one of our favorite restaurants, but this visit was only mediocre. Our server was good, but the food was only average this time. Our Caesar salads were brought out with no croutons. The mashed potatoes which came with our meals were barely Luke warm. Our server quickly replaced them with warm ones. The profiteroles for dessert were cloyingly sweet. I will give them another opportunity because considering our previous experience, they deserve another chance.

Service, salad n apps were wonderful. Dinner was terrible. Food was cold, I sent it back, came back 1/2 the amount and on a different plate..... still barely warm. My husband ordered bone on ribeye med rare, came out fully cooked through ans not warm sides. Pasta Bolognese was a greasy mess with no actually red sauce in sight. It was a very bad dinner and costs us $147.00! Not sure who cooked for customers that posted good reviews.

We have been long time customers but were dissapointed to see that quality has dropped off a bit. The food did not seem as fresh. The portions were fine but everything, even appetizers we have eaten for years were not really all that good on this visit.

Very sorry to see as we have always loved going there.

We met friends from Chicago for dinner @ What if. The service was fabulous. The bartender Audrey was so sweet & she made a wicked Strawberry Squeeze -delicious:) The food was delicious but the portions were disappointingly small. The chicken leg quarter I received for my Korean Chicken selection & the sirachi salmon portions were very small. Unfortunate because both dishes were really tasty & we wanted more:(

All in all things were ok. My rice was clumped together. My waitress took a bread plate off the table where I had been placing the clumps of rice without saying word about it...? Only one in the party ordered dessert and the wrong dessert was delivered to the table. Some items were very pricey for their portion/presentation.

Found this restaurant on-line and the reviews were spot on. The waiter was great and the food was good too. Love the chocolate martinis. After a day at Hershey waterpark, this was definitely a place we needed to go to to enjoy a night out with the kids.

My friend and I stayed at the Howard Johnson Hotel for a concert last weekend and while there we booked reservations for dinner at the What If.. Hershey. Our food was delicious and arrived quickly so we were in plenty of time. After the concert I went down to the bar for more food, as the concert left me starving with all the walking to and from, and dancing. The bartender, Audrey, was my favorite part of the stay. She made me feel welcome and really seemed to care. Also my strawberry margarita with salt was perfect. I will definitely be back!

We went to celebrate my husband's birthday, our first birthday celebration as newlyweds. I have been to What If before for dinners, special occasions, etc. and had pleasant experiences. However, this time fell very short of average. The appetizers and dessert were good, however our entrees were absolutely awful. The ravioli was drenched in cold olive oil and my husband's entire filet meal was cold. It was like they left our plates out for 30 minutes before bringing them to the table. We were in a time crunch since we had a show to attend after dinner, so there was no practical reason to make a fuss about the cold, poorly plated food. I wish I did- we had to leave our show early because were both very sick (and up all night). They also neglected to recognize my husband's birthday, which I was quite disappointed about. We will not be returning.

Food was ok, but a bit plain (small, dry shrimp). Scallops were fantastic, though! Nice atmosphere, once you get past hotel lobby. Pricey. It took us 1.25 hours to get entree, but I assume this was an anomaly (was didn't complain except to request our check prior to its arrival. Would've been nice to receive an apology though; we were late to our show). Would try once more....
