Our waitress was engaging and very attentive. Arrived in time for HH and drinks on a Wed., then ordered dinner of the Arctic char and Pork entree. I wish Seattle had more outdoor dining like Westward. Beautiful views of Lake Union just know they are communal tables, if you like your own space then maybe an indoor table would be better for you.

Great location on Lake Union if you are outside but not good view tables from inside. The food was excellent, lots of creative vegetables and small plates. It was very noisy and hard to converse but it was Mother's Day and there were screaming children next us. Hope to try it again on a quieter day.

Mother’s Day. We had an unexpected toddler with one of the group Westward graciously accommodated. Everything was perfect.

Love this place! Great for a date, nice ambience & fantastic views— service was great & food was amazing. We loved the lamb shank & clam appetizer. Cocktails good too!

Mentioned it was a special occasion (in the booking and again when we arrived). No one acknowledged it at all. When I asked about sitting outside, I got a non committal response from the hostess. No one particular server took ownership of our table, kinda felt like an after-thought. Food was spectacular and the decor is very cool. Would rave about this place had the service been better. The whole crew seems to act like they were doing the patrons a favor by waiting on them.

The restaurant has a great location and when the weather is nice it is very beautiful. The brunch menu is interesting and the drink selection is good. Each member of our party thought that a number of staff were quite rude and dismissive to us. Sunday brunch is understandably busy but service was also quite slow.

I've been to Westward several times for dinner, and the food has always been pretty tasty. I've been to brunch twice there, and the food tends to fall a little below par. I'm not sure why. Eggs and hash did not come out hot this last time I went. The Wes Anderson ambiance is worth the visit, complimented by the scenic water view and fire pit. But the service, for whatever reason, is always a bit below standards. Had to ask the waiter several times for water, and once they took our order, we were rarely checked on. There's a laissez faire about the staff where they seem to expect you to know how they run things at the restaurant, but offer very little direction to convey the proper guidance. It's a shame because there are several things I really like about this place.

Westward was exceptional (again).

Went there for dinner with a group from out of town and the only thing that surpassed the exceptional food was the truly superb service. I mean this at every level of contact too. The hostess was accommodating and time our seating well despite a large group, the bartender was knowledgable and fun while we waited for our table, and our server was encyclopedic in his knowledge of the wine list and locally sourced ingredients. We had a wonderful evening and will most certainly be back. I will say this though, the price tag is commensurate with the quality of food and service so dont come here expecting a budget meal!

Knowledgeable service, especially about local seafood which is Westward's focus. $2 Happy hour oysters are a good value. Skilled preparation complemented by beautiful presentation. The grilled trout framed by spring vegetables was delicious and a thing of beauty. Can't wait for warmer weather to enjoy drinks and oysters on the patio facing Lake Union.

Excellent service, food, and drinks. The only issue was a boisterous table of 6 people right next to us, so loud we couldn’t hear each other across our table. We didn’t complain because the group of 6 was having such a good time, and the service was so good!

We had so much fun from start to finish. The wait staff was delightful and the food delicious. I was tempted to sit out by the fire pit even though it was pouring rain. I was treating my dear
friends to dinner and they had a truly wonderful time. Thank you.

The portions were incredibly tiny for the price. The 3 of us didn’t finish our dishes because none of us liked the flavor. The drinks were good but not going back paying $100 per person and leaving hungry.

The menu is pretty limited in most respects - few salads, limited fish, limited vegetables. Hard for my vegan wife to eat there. Worked best for share plates where the real goal is not a great meal or food, but talking with your companions. Very good service, nice staff, and two very good (albeit expensive) bottles of wine. There are plenty of better places to eat and converse.

Checked out Westward on a whim. It was on my list of places that I wanted to try, but was rarely in the area.

The food here was great. Fresh local oysters for brunch. I learned I really like Chelsea Gems. My friends and I really loved the food.

My friend LOVED the Fried Oyster Roll. The Smoked Fish Benedict was amazing. And I love their Polenta with sunny side up egg.

The thing that gave them the full 5-stars was the service. We had a great server that just fun to talk to and honest about his favorites. One thing I hate is when a server says they "love everything" when you ask them for recommendations.

Definitely coming back again.

Food and drinks were delicious! The octopus was grilled to perfection and practically melted in my mouth; one the the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

I think it is time to do a re-fresh on the menu, it's getting stale - kitchen is not humming or having a good time, thus food suffers.

Like others before me on various reviews... We had an 8:45 PM reservation, and didn’t get seated until 9:30 PM.
This set my tone for the rest of the night. I would have walked, but it was Saturday night and I was taking friends out for dinner. Otherwise, the Trout was excellent. Not even a complimentary Adult Beverage or Dessert was offered, and this would have been a nice goodwill gesture...
