What Insiders Are Saying
Westward is a place that will make you excited to live in Seattle. (Or consider buying property here ASAP.)
Cool ambiance and the service was outstanding! Food was delicious. Slightly pricey, however location and service are worth it.
Great morning on the water with plenty of oysters! Great day with the Austin visitors.
Fabulous service, wonderful, but pricy oysters, but unfortunately, it’s quite loud which makes it difficult for an easy conversation.
Too loud - hard to have a conversation. Otherwise everything was wonderful.
Great atmosphere and a mouth-watering menu in a thoughtfully designed setting with an amazing view of Seattle.
Perfect in every possible way. Location, view, service have always been excellent (we’ve gone here a lot over the years for date nights or special occasions). But the food on this visit was exquisite. My party ordered the oysters, halibut, short ribs, pea risotto, and potatoes and one was better than the next. For dessert we got the butterscotch pot de creme and the brownie with ice cream. Both delicious, but the ice cream with the chocolate shell/syrup was next level. We will absolutely be back!
Overall great experience and definitely highly recommended.
I would suggest to have more appetizers.
Westward is always a treat in the summer!
The views are amazing. The food was fresh & tasty, although I am sad they changed their recipe on the Octopus Salad.
Our server was friendly & attentive.
We ate here w/ out of town visitors and they LOVED it! The food was delicious, the service was great, and the scenery is beautiful.
Loved this place! What a gem if you live in the area. We are from Oregon and in town visiting friends and I found this on a website and loved the idea of renting kayaks and paddle omg our way over to the restaurant but the rain had other plans. We drove and it was just as nice to see the area and all the channels to the neighborhood. I hope this place stays and earns the live it deserves! We had fresh oysters and clams. The risotto will blow you away and the butterscotch creme will make your evening complete!! Enjoy the view and the laid back vibe.
Great service and atmosphere
Food was bland.
Amazing service, loved sitting in the outdoor chairs and the service while we waited for our table! Such a fabulous experience - would absolutely recommend for a special HH or dinner!
Food and atmosphere was great as always. Don’t love the shared tables but otherwise wonderful.
Everything that is lovely about Seattle is here :)
Westward was an excellent dining experience on the water with a view of seattle’s skyline. You can eat outside or inside, and the food and drinks are both great. We sat in the Adirondack chairs for the majority of the meal until it started lightly raining where we went to sit at the oyster bar. My boyfriend and I shared the burrata, roasted potatoes, and the halibut, all prepared to perfection. We also each had a delicious Moscow mule. We highly recommend!
The view of the water was lovely and the outside fire is delightful. The staff were professional and timely. I will not go back for dinner, however, because the 35 dollar halibut entree, while it tasted good, came without a single vegetable and was exactly the size of two fingers. An absurdly skimpy portion in a skimpy, colorless and mostly empty presentation which would have been disappointing at any price, but for 35 dollars, it was a very poor value. The Rissotto which was bright green, was a much better size portion and had some good flavors but it was too salty to even finish. You will see from my other reviews, I am a generous reviewer, but in this case, after spending more than a hundred and twenty dollars for two people- with only one drink each, i had to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich when i got home - if you go just a little down the street, to Ivar’s, you can get a better unobstructed view and a delicious seafood entree on a beautifully presented, colorful and accompanied plate that will leave you feeling like you lucked out for the price.
Oysters delicious! Service impeccable. If you come early expect a lot of noise; by 7:30 it's quieter for a lovely dinner.
Westward is like being on vacation
Unbelievable view great vibe good food
Could work on service but that us forgoven
A little cold but turns out restaurants cannot control Seattle weather! Who knew!
Had a great time. A little loud, but our 6mo-old was able to fall asleep. The biscuit on the brunch sandwich was delicious, as were the fried oysters.
The view and the staff are what make this place wonderful! Halibut was delicious. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made it special for us. Thank you!
As usual, food was very good. Risotto was yummy but seriously overpriced. I guess that was the only disappointing dish. It was my birthday and I did indicate this on reservation, but, despite being a cloudy day and not as busy as usual, the table they wanted to sit us at was not very special - actually it was probably one of the least desirable, right next to the server station. We just sat at the bar instead. I thought that was unfortunate and I probably would not choose Westward again for a special occasion. I don’t even know why they bothered asking when I made the reservation.
Friends in town
The staff was incredibly attentive! The food was amazing!
We had a great time at Westward celebrating a graduation. The food and service were absolutely terrific and the location is sublime.
No complaints at all...and waiting for the next time we can get back!
Great all around experience.
Had an amazing experience once again at Westward. My server Victoria was so great and her recommendations were on point!
Very good food, excellent service and on a clear day there’s no better place to be! Only criticism is there are many bottles of rose that are better quality and much cheaper than the ones on the menu here.
Great service, spectacular space. Food way over priced for what you get. $45 for plate of salmon. just the salmon, no sides etc. I think we may have bought bread. Salad very hohum... That said we had some good dishes.
Excellent views, great food. Service was slow but in a way that was nice because we never felt rushed to give up our table.
Came here for my husband’s graduation dinner with the parents. We sat out on the deck on a gorgeous day, so the ambiance was awesome. Unfortunately service was not great. Super slow. Our waitress didn’t check on us so was constantly trying to get the attention of anyone that worked there for things like plates and another round of drinks. Another young gentleman (waiter) stopped by to fill in for our absentee waitress and he was awesome! Knew his wines and delivered them fast. He saved the day!
Ambience great. Food a bit over priced. The octopus salad good, but only four small pieces for $20?
Beautiful restaurant on the water. Food was delicious. Great view! Definitely recommend having a drink after dinner by the fire pit or settle in on one of their deck chairs.
It was good food and a great location. The atmosphere was spectacular! We would like to go again.
Nice to sit outside in the Seattle summer. Make a reservation. Oysters at happy hour FTW.
Very inventive food in a super warm, energetic atmosphere. The view is worth it.
Can’t beat the location, views and decor but, unfortunately the food continues to be underwhelming. I really want to like this place but if the menu doesn’t change I don’t think I will be back. It’s a real shame as there is so much potential.
The Adirondack chairs are wonderful! Prices are a bit high for brunch.
