Great place to go for the views and the food, which blends local fresh ingredients. Lots of small plates, so sharing is great. Happy hour has great value (especially for the tasty oysters).
Don’t go for an early dinner unless you are 30-ish, drink a lot and have a very loud voice. The food, a pork chop and halibut was OK, lacked sides , ( eg: no dinner salad to be found) and the tab for two ran to $100 w/tip. Only one beer!
We brought out of town guests and absolutely loved the outside setting. It was a perfect NW evening. The only downside was the music was too loud to be able to enjoy a conversation without having to shout or yell into each other’s ear. The Food was amazing!!
Great setting - but food was just average compared to what we can expect in Seattle.
Beautiful day on the water! At first, menu seemed unusual- took us a little out of our comfort zone- but everything was excellent. Everyone agreed, we will be back.
Excellent meal. Excellent service. We enjoyed the open kitchen/open room concept and, of course, the view is fabulous.
The food & service were excellent. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and the staff acknowledged him kindly without embarrassing him. Very well done!
Great food and service, exceeded expectations
They took the lamb off of the menu (it was my absolute favourite) but this braised short rib was something else. I come here time and time again when visiting Seattle and highly recommend it to anyone.
Dinner has always been amazing at Westward, so we tried it for a celebratory family brunch. Unfortunately, the food was really not up to par. It was disappointing as I think of this as a go to.
Love Love Westward! The scenery and décor are perfect and the food was delicious !
Yes. This is the place to go for a fantastic view of the city. But I remember it being a but more sophisticated service. Food was very tasty and worth the money, but they didn't have a gin of my liking and the service was too casual.
I was seated at the bar and had very terrible service. My dinner came out before my cocktail arrived, and there were multiple times I was unable to flag my server down. They did take my drink off my bill, however, I felt the service should have been much better for what I had heard about this restaurant. The food was good but did not blow me away. Would probably not come back.
The $18 cheese plate was good, but the proportions were terrible!
Seattle tourist but did my homework and made this reservation. When I arrived, I double checked my selection with various locals - bartender, tour guide, etc - and they all said to keep the reservation! I'm glad I did. Great view and excellent food! The halibut with walnut coucous was outstanding!
Service was super friendly and attentive. Liked the food. Was thoughtful and eclectic. Fresh
I’ve been to westward lots of times, but last night really felt like the food standard had gone down. The portions were smaller, my fish was over cooked and at almost 40bucks a pop per entree, this was not a cheap night out. I don’t think we will be back here for dinner again any time soon. So sad!
Amazing views on the water make this place special!
We took out of town friends here for a sunset dinner and it was a hit! Fantastic service, great food, and an amazing view of Lake Union and the city. Be ready to spend money, but it was the best pork chop we had ever tried.
The food was great and so was the service provided by
You’re paying for the atmosphere and small portions of good food. I’d do it again.
Just love seating outside for brunch !
Great views, drinks, and eats - we always have a wonderful time at Westward!
This was so lovely. we had a wonderful server who was engaged in our evening. She knew when to stop and check in and when to just "drive by". We will definately be joining ya'll again!
We had a reservation for two but upon inquiring about their water front outdoor seating the host kindly advised there is a waitlist (good to know!) But they had two seats open on a Monday night and it was gorgeous! Food is excellent!!!! They even have blankets if you’re cold!
We dined on the patio and it was a beautiful view. Incredible food and the service was exceptional!
Great food (oysters, halibut, salmon), portions are small for the prices charged, but we ordered enough to feel full. Our waitress wasn't the friendliest and walked away after taking our oyster order without asking if we wanted drinks -- which we did. Thankfully other servers were quite helpful as our waitress was hard to find. We sat outside but didn't have much of a view due to the other party sitting at our table with us. Basically, great place if you don't mind mortgaging your home. Our bill was close to $250 (incl tip) for 3 people (and we didn't drink that much)>
Never disappoints. It’s my favorite restaurant in Seattle. Amazing food, great service and wonderful views
Fantastic food, very attentive service. We can’t wait to return!
Too expensive. Portions and quality not worth the price.
Nice location, but putting the bar by the water and blocking the view of those eating is a bad idea.
Location is great. The food is hit and miss. Last night the salmon was a bit overcooked. My short ribs were good but tasted more like a pot roast. We had to ask 3 different waiters to get us the wine we had ordered. The starter came out well before the wine.
Could have been an off night.
Food was fantastic and the view was even better. My only complaint was that our service was only OK. I did not like how our designated server didn't seem like a designated server. I had different people bringing drinks, food, and taking our orders. Plus, we waited for about 15 minutes before a drink order was taken. Other than that, great experience and amazing view. Definitely on the pricey side, which i was expecting-- however, for the service we had, it was a little frustrating.
The good at Westward is delicious, but the atmosphere was crowded and loud. The online photos of the patio are inviting, but the reality is quite different. We had requested patio seating with our reservation but advised when we arrived that there were several large parties and no table for us. We were offered Adirondack chairs which we passed on. At our inside table, our server asked if we had any questions then promptly left without taking our drink order. The kitchen and bar were entertaining and the food was excellent. Not sure we would return, however.
Great food and ambiance. The only issue I have is that the waiter spilled a drink on my boyfriend and still charged us.
I love the atmosphere at this restaurant, especially in the summer with their lakeside bar. We ordered sockeye salmon and halibut entrees. The halibut was especially delicious, not overcooked, and served with pearl couscous. The octopus salad was also delicious. The only misstep was that our side dish arrived after the entrees, but that was quickly remedied.
wonderful plating, savory dishes, excellent oysters
service was slow, food was average, menu selection was very limited, prices were very high
Wonderful experience — great atmosphere, service, and food.
Have been to Westward twice and both times the service was very slow, probably the slowest I've experienced in years. The oysters had pieces of shell in them. The pork chop was delicious but all it came with was chick peas. I don't mind chick peas and these were well prepared but why pair a pork chop with 100 chick peas and nothing else? Sitting outside by the water is nice but unfortunately not enough to get me to go back.
Parents in town. Great meal! Slightly expensive appetizers for size.
