Two of us had the Dover Sole and it was delicious. The others enjoyed the pork chop and chicken sandwich.
I can’t wait to go back. Good cocktails and beer.
The eggs benedicts-- all 3 types were delicious. Loved their homemade English muffin (so tender you could cut it with a fork). We got the apple fritters for an appetizer and they were just okay-- I didn't get any apple chunks in mine so it was basically just a cinnamon fritter. It was very hot in the restaurant-- didn't seem like the AC was on so was slightly uncomfortable
Westport Café & Bar was an excellent choice for Mother's Day brunch. Our server was knowledgeable and was open to sharing recommendations. I had the Croque Madame and my date had the Shrimp & Polenta. Both were delicious and the price point was on target. We'll go back!
Great brunch. Friendly service highly recommended
Best brunch ever! Everything was delicious and the service is fantastic. We had the apple fritters, 1/2 order of biscuits & gravy, small order of chicken hash, lemon ricotta pancakes, crispy fried chicken, and shrimp & polenta- each dish was absolutely incredible.
We really enjoyed our experience. Service, food and atmosphere were all A+. And the price is quite fair for what you get. Check it out. You'll be glad you did.
We enjoyed this very much, food was flavorful. Some noise from the bar but we were their early when there were very few people there.
Great food and very good service. Love the complimentary brunch cocktail!
Go to Brunch spot. Consistently excellent .
This is a quaint/small, clean, well lit café with a big menu (not in the number of offerings, per se, but with the diversity of offerings). We were there for Saturday Brunch, which comes with a "free drink" (choice of 3 drinks). First, the mussels in coconut sauce are amazing - a bit of a kick to them as well. I had the salmon eggs benedict, my daughter the crepes, and my wife the salmon salad. Ample (not huge) portions - we didn't leave hungry. The cocktails were well made (the bar area is smallish - maybe 8/10 chairs, but well-stocked) and fun. As you can tell from this review, I'll return.
Great management, great food!
Wasn’t super loud and wonderful ambiance
A group of friends, my family and myself came in for my birthday. I do not remember our server’s name but he did a wonderful job pre-bussing. Our drinks remained filled throughout the night. The food is always incredible no matter what the you order. We shared the mussels and bread pudding but the real stars for the evening were the presentation of the squash soup and the bread pudding.
Absolutely love WCB! We dine there on a regular basis and they hit it out of the park every time. The pea ravioli are a must!
We love brunching at WCB! We always start with the Apple fritters with a hot cup of coffee. With so many delicious things to try, the menu never disappoints.
Always a treat to have brunch here. Excellent food and drinks, great service and very reasonably priced.
Sunday brunch was delicious - great value bc a cocktail / hot beverage is included. We’ll be back!
It was great, we were seated promptly and were able to hit happy hour time. The menu for happy hour is excellent, we were able to try several things off their regular menu at happy hour prices and all was very delicious. Steak and frites as well as the salmon were our favorites.
Westport Cafe & Bar is perfect in every possible way. The kitchen consistently turns out beautifully prepared dishes, and the weekend brunch is a must experience. Servers are always wonderful as are the hostess/host.
If you want to do brunch or a weekend evening meal make sure you get a reservation. Space is limited and Westport Cafe is rightfully a popular spot.
Well done to all.
The food here is inedible, unidentifiable and the service very sketchy. We will never repeat the experience. Nice narrow room but all in all not for dining at all. Service was almost impossible to get though the place was almost empty.
Always great people food and service!!
Decent food and experience. Awesome part was the free Bellini, mimosa, bloody, or coffee if you purchase a brunch entree.
Great food and craft drinks. Truly a great place to go.
Great food and service.
Great drinks and decent wine by the glass. I had the Steak Frites and the steak was perfect medium rare and accompaniments we’re excellent. The Berna sauce was not so traditional as it had a little spice to it which didn’t go with the Frites, but was good with the meat. The Frites were outstanding and very generous - enough for 2-3 people. My daughter had the truffle risotto and reported it as lovely. The weather was nice so we sat near one of the open windows which added noise, but not annoying. My only complaint is the chairs/bench are hard and but uncomfortable. Cushions would be nice especially for a longer dinner experience.
Great location and ambiance. Great service and value - food outstanding.
Loved it, our meals were all excellent and our server was pleasant. :)
Such a lovely place, the only place in KC where we feel as if we're as close as we be to one of our favorite Parisian bistros! Delicious food (the spring pea ravioli with lemon brown butter is exquisite, and we love the tasty steak frites with heavenly, freshly prepared Béarnaise sauce and twice-fried pommel frites, and chocolate mousse is a most delectable dessert), impeccable, efficient, and cheerful service, and wonderful, engaged management and front of house energy. Superb dinner and lovely evening, thank you!
Nick our server was amazing! The steak frites
special was very tasty and the beet salad was
great to start the experience
Great ambiance, with the best food west of Paris, served & prepared by professionals!
Perfect ambiance, great menu selection, great food, great servers.
Other than a server that didn't seem to be super involved with being a server, everything was great. This place has hands down some of the very BEST pommes frites ANYWHERE. My dining partners all had pasta dishes (even though this is pretty much a French restaurant) and they appeared to do a good French take on pasta. I had the duck, which was wonderful, although the server never asked me how done I wanted it. It was pink enough that it might have freaked out some people. They do great mixed drinks, and although somewhat on the higher priced side, it is a good value. We were catching a movie at the Tivoli, and it was super handy. We were leaving at 6:45, and the noise level had gotten very high. Maybe more than some people would like, but it was a very nice crowd.
Food and service is excellent. My only complaint is that they chairs are very uncomfortable.
Outside of that it is really a wonderful restaurant.
Incredible experience. Food was delicious and I had one of the best margaritas I've ever had. Highly recommend.
Wonderful dinner at Westport Cafe. Had been to brunch several times but this was our first dinner. Well balanced selections with interesting twists on traditional entrees without being too out there. All sauces were spectacular. Salmon with broccoli and ginger was so fresh as was the lemon and pea ravioli. Shrimp and crab cake was awarded two thumbs up by our entire group. Escargot could have used a little garlic. Lovely atmosphere. Fair prices. Great time!
One of my favorite mid town places
Kevin one of the co/owners is a great guy and cares about good food ambiance and friendly service staff Excellent French European style affair
Westport Cafe & Bar is our go-to place for brunch. There isn't a single bad thing on the menu, and you get a complementary drink!
We had a wonderful dinner. The staff, and especially the owner, was warm and accommodating. Everything we ate was prepared perfectly and tasted great. It was a perfect Valentines date night.
Perfect place for a light meal before the theater
or for happy hour! Had petite steak and frites and mussels—both delish! Very good cocktails, too! Been there many times for dinner, too. Always good!
The food was great as was the service. We have also been there for brunch several times. Love the place. Seems like a little bit of France in Westport. We'll be back.
