Ran out of Valentines menu, refused to give us bread after 9pm they said they won’t it anymore. Food taste like bleach
Our reservation was for 6:15 pm. We arrived on time and were told our table was given to someone else and that we would be next. We were seated after a short wait. Water and menus came immediately to our table. We then waited for a server for 20 minutes. No one came for to take our drink order or to greet us. I went to the reception area to ask a manager if we could get a server to help us. No one had been assigned to our table. Good thing I asked! Our bar order and food order were taken at the same time and were brought at the same time. Probably not the best way to relax. We always trust the food at Westside Grill and it is our go-to place to bring guests. This time the food was not exceptional. Two of the three of us had cool mashed potatoes! Anyway, we'll be back but it was not what we were expecting.
We go to Westside very often as it is close to the house and the food is good. This occasion was no different but the service was less than great. Our waitress was very slow, took forever to get our drinks, we had to ask for bread twice and it wasn’t until we asked the bus boy that we actually got it. It was as busy as it always is on a Saturday so that’s not really an excuse. We have had this waitress before and knew she’s not the greatest. We will continue to go back no matter since everything else is always great.
Always a very enjoyable dining experience. We are very happy to have such a wonderful restaurant so close to home. Food and service excellent. Salmon and prime rib prepared to perfection.
Food is great, and the table service from Heidi was outstanding, as always. I definitely like this place, and highly recommend. it!
My family and I dine here frequently, the food and service are always great!
Very disappointed one of the special items was sold out at 5:45pm
Great food and service
What can I say.. We like coming here.. But today our party of nine all loved it... Service was awesome and the food nothing left on any plate
We celebrated my husbands birthday and received great service, fine food and enjoyable ambiance.
We were seated at a tiny table for 2 next to the windows. There were many open tables for 4, and booths available, but you shoved us in the worst table on New Years Eve. We FROZE at the windows, had car headlights shining at us, and were unable to hear from the volume that surrounded us. I will never go back if you sit us at a tiny table with no room for our food or wine. So rude, hated it!
The staff was friendly from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious and the restaurant is great for a date.
Even with reservations, we had to wait about 25 min for a table. The drinks came very slow, the food much slower. The food was OK, nothing fantastic that wowed or was different from any other restaurant. It was extraordinarily loud, so conversation at our table was limited to what we could actually hear. It was interesting that someone dropped some food in the middle of the floor, and for 30 minutes I saw it was walked over and around by staff seeing the mess but not bothering to deal with it. Not the best experience I've had here, and certainly not on my regular list of return places.
I do not eat meat for health reasons, but a friend said you had best prime rib. I haven't had any for tens of years, but it was a favorite in the past. I like it rare and juicy. It was borderline rare an a bit dry. The noise level was so high I had to yell for husband to hear me. No nice conversation.
Absolutely divine! Always a pleasure and food is exquisite!
This is the 4th or 5th time I've made reservations through OpenTable for West Side Grill and specified that we are celebrating a birthday or special event. West Side Grill has only acknowledged these special events the first time and since then every reservation is treated like we casually walked in from the street. This particular lunch on 12/15 was notably lacking in attention to the fine details of dining by staff. We had to request for coffee refills, no lemon or appropriate condiments appeared with the Crab Salad... and when asked, we were provided with a couple slivers of lemon rather than a half lemon covered in wrap/cheesecloth (to capture seeds). In addition, when we requested French dressing for the salad, we were given a bowl of au jus. If the restaurant didn't carry French dressing, it's simple enough to say so or offer another option rather than bring something else that was not requested.
Annual Xmas dinner
Service needs work. Had to wait for iced tea, extra lemon, togo box, another cup of coffee.
We were seated 30 mins after our reservation (and we had arrived 15 mins prior). When we were seated, it was at a table that didn’t accommodate our party, but we made it work. After being greeted by our server, it took 20 mins to get water and bread, and 30 mins for ordered drinks. The food was delicious, but service was subpar. Bussers asking us to pass our used plates to them, rather than coming around, having to request water/bread refills, etc. Not what you would expect from this class of restaurant. It was particularly embarrassing, as this is one of my favorite places, and I brought friends from out of town (who were extremely underwhelmed). I will return (because the food is so good), but recommended management makes sure reservations take priority.
We were well taken care of by the management team, but of course that was after the fact.
Great place to eat, but service was horrible at the least. Oversized blonde waitress in mid 40's was the worst waitress ever. Bread came out during mid meal, didn't get our dinner order correct, waited 20 mins for drinks and was sitting chatting with her friends during busy time in restaurant. No concern for her other customers. GM was oblivious to customerservice. He walked around doing busy fronthouse work instead of doing the job of a true GM and looking at the servers and customers making sure everything is coming together in a timely matter with class A service.
