Lovely location on the lake. Excellent food and friendly staff. Pricey, but well worth it
For a 350 dollar dinner for 4 I would hope the wait staff would be in formal, professional attire. I felt like the food prices were fine dining level but the service was definitely not.
Phenomenal location, outstanding service, and I can only describe the food as a life experience that should not be missed. Could not have asked for a better evening.
Excellent family dinner spot or romantic dinner spot. Gorgeous views! Worth the drive ! Remember to have dessert 💕
Excellent place and amazing views! The service was very good
Not much of a menu, especially for the price point, expected more specials and options!
The food here is incredible. A must have if you’re in the South Lake Tahoe area. I highly recommend the short rib and gnocchi
The lake view is amazing. Better than anywhere else I've been, except Sunnyside (which has a similar view from a few blocks away). We had the filet and the shortrib. both were good (filet was better). The vegetables looked fresh and were perfectly prepared. The Polenta (came w/ the shortrib) was the best I've had. The only downside to the meal was the calamari. It was a disappointment... small portion, high price, and poorly prepared and presented. I'd give that a skip. Otherwise, a great meal, with an amazing view, and attentive service.
Beautiful view with outstanding food and service.
Great food!
The food was amazing and the service was fabulous. Delicious cocktails!
We had the crab cakes, they were good but we both got sick!
This place handed the reduced capacity and outdoor dining exactly right!
Food and service were both excellent
This is most certainly one of the best places to go for a special dinner and a fantastic view of Lake Tahoe. Due to the COVID situation, the only seating available was outside. However, my understanding is that they are likely to open indoor dining very soon. Of course, be sure to make reservations in advance! Great staff, restaurant and food!!
Absolutely stunning location with delicious food- we loved every minute of our time.
Absolutely fantastic experience! Beautiful venue and great food!
Excellent food, service and location. The only downside was the required outdoor dining which is not comfortable in early March. In warm weather it would be great.
Alex, the host, was quick, efficient and extremely friendly! Brit, the bartender does such an amazing job making some of the best drinks! And the bussers were quick and attentive as was our server. The food was perfect and it was a great place to take my friends from out of town that had never been there before. I loved the firepit table! It made it feel so cozy. Great place for apres ski and dinner!
Will definitely be back!
Amazing ambiance, right on the lake. Food left a bit to be desired for. Service was ok.
Great always nice on the lake
Great food, excellent service by Scott. The fire pits kept us warm and the view was amazing. Thank you we will be back!!
Spectacular lakefront view, delicious food and a friendly staff. Any closer and you would be in the lake. Perfect for a special occasion dinner or celebration.
We are Tahoma locals and have been coming here for many years. Everything was great except the fire pit malfunctioned, and they were not set up to take cash. Food and service were great.
Beautiful view nice heaters. Great burger. Bummed they only allow service dogs. Nice time after skiing Homewood
The West Shore Cafe created a memorable and beautiful dining experience. Their staff was welcoming, helpful, hardworking, and gracious. Their efforts to maintain Covid standards were impeccable. The ambiance was charming and quiet. Most importantly, the cocktails, wines and food were outstanding!
West Shore Cafe has adapted well with Covid restrictions. The outdoor area with heaters makes for a warm atmosphere on chilly nights. The view of the lake is awesome. Great service and food.
Terrific service, sumptuous food, gorgeous view of the lake! Loved it!
we had a wonderful experience! Very romantic and so beautiful. Service was excellent, food was excellent and the ambience was amazing
Exceeded my expectations! Service was incredible, food was spectacular, and the Tahoe lake side setting was world renowned! Highly recommend the burger.....
Stunning views of Lake Tahoe paired with friendly and safe service. Highly recommend for a nice outdoor dinner or fancy apres after skiing at Homewood!
Awesome scenery, perfect ambience, and great food. We’ll definitely be back again!
Everything was awesome. Best video on the lake! Remember to wear warm boots for outdoor seating.
Food was ok for the price and the service was terrible but the view was great.
Excellent food and service. Outdoor dining on the lake was perfect. There were plenty of heat lamps and fire tables to keep warm, even in a cold winter day.
It was a great experience if it wasn’t for the parking lot.. lots of snow boarding teens causing issues- there were at least a half dozen cars in the WSC parking lot full with all there stuff sprawled out in the street.. you could barely get in and had to argue your space rights while they acted like a bunch of well- teens!
The chicken was cooked perfectly and our waiter was polite and prompt.
Food and service were amazing, even dining outside in the snow. They were very accommodating to make us comfortable.
They did a terrific job serving outside. The heaters were adequate, service was fast and food, as usual, was fabulous. The menu was a bit brief, but, due to just opening, it made sense. Certainly well worth even for wintertime out door dining.
A must try restaurant tucked away in Homewood (across from the ski area). The food and service were outstanding!
My friend and I were greeted graciously by a gentleman up front when we arrived and departed. Our service was impeccable and the good was amazing! We tried the creme brulee for dessert and it was delicious. We had a wonderful time!
