West on Centre Ratings and Reviews
I had the lamb shank special and it was SO GOOD!!! It's been years since I've had lamb and it was even better the next night!! My husband had the fish and chips was was in ecstasy. He said the fish was so good and fresh, the batter was delicious. We had pumpkin cheesecake for dessert which was totally amazing. He started with a house salad which was enormous! Extraordinary service too.
I cam here some months ago for lunch with a group of friends and it was amazing them too. We'll be back!!!!
Service was excellent. I arrived for brunch 15 minutes early for my reservation. They made me feel very comfortable with coffee and a basket of muffins. My friends did join me in time to meet our reservation.
Nice atmosphere. A nice variety of options on the menu.
Very disappointed. My husband and daughter ordered the scallop dinner. Quite honestly, $27.00 for 6 dry, flavorless scallops on a bed of mashed potato with minimum trim is probably a 1,000 per cent profit.
My Agave salmon was dry and crusty. We spent $110.00 and feel it was a complete waste of money.
The server was efficient, we did not mention to him our disappointment.
It was okay. I got the baked haddock and it was very dry ( over cooked ). Believe it or not the waitress said baked fish comes that way. Somebody told my husband its a good place to go for burgers and pizza. I don't think we will be returning there for dinner.
I was very disappointed in the food. I ordered something very simple, a margarita pizza, and it was not good. It was loaded with sun-dried tomatoes which made it very bitter. I wouldn't recommend it, which is disappointing because it is so close to where I live.
I hadn't been to West On Centre in a few years. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We started with an appetizer of calamari. Delicious sweet sauce and not heavily fried. Surprise was a few pieces of pineapple mixed in.
I had the pulled pork sandwich - seeded bun and a delicious slaw encompassed the pulled pork. Sweet potato fries and sweet pickles were the sides. Pulled pork was very moist topped by a delicious barbecue sauce.
No room for dessert.
Will be back much sooner than before!
We arrived at 4:00 on a Saturday for late lunch/early dinner. There were a few people at the bar, but otherwise the place was empty. We were promptly seated, given water and very moist, tender bread served with a delicious, house-made hummus. We ordered the Tuscan Kale and Quinoa salad to split three ways: We'd come back for this dish alone! The special, pan seared fish, was fresh, moist, and tender. The shaved Brussels sprouts were perfectly al dente, and the grilled zucchini was tasty and firm. The mashed sweet potato bed was a nice counterpoint to the Brussels. The light pan sauce was lovely, as were the little decorative greens that were on the plate. Uncle seemed to like his crab cakes and vegetables very much. We'd all go back again tomorrow.
I brought my family here for an anniversary celebration. Dinner was good but our server delivered my wife's starter soup with a spoon so filthy that it looked and felt like it had just been pulled from the previous day's soiled utensils. Had this not occurred, my review would have been five stars for sure.
