Fries were awesome. The rueben a little dry. The pork Mac and cheese was yummy. The beer was great!
Great food, great service, great beer, great ambiance. What more could you ask for?
I'm going to be honest: the food here was not good. We ordered the pretzel bites, which were not like pretzels at ALL. They were more like wheat nuggets. The veggie burger was okay but mainly because of the topping - the burger itself was tasteless. The mediterranean salad was also only alright but would have been much better with a dressing like balsamic. Lastly the veggie burger came with tomato bisque and it was disgusting. I would only go here for beer.
We stopped in for dinner after a long day hiking. Great atmosphere with locals playing music. Great service and awesome beer! Highly recommend checking out if your in the Pearl St vicinity.
We went for a family get together and they accommodated for a large group of people perfectly! We sat right next to the patio with the doors open and it was beautiful. Our server was amazing as well. The beer is obviously great and so was the food!
The service was great, the people watching was fun. I ordered the fish and chips. There was a ton of batter, which was burned, and very little, low quality fish inside.
The food was good the waiter was attentive. Right on the Pearl Street mall. Nice place
Food was great, service was friendly but a little slow.
This is a fun place right in the heart of the Pearl Street action. We were in the front section right behind the patio, which is a great spot. The waitress was lovely and efficient. It's a fun, happy place to be.
The food was very good and so was the service. However, we made a reservation here because it looked to have an awesome Father's Day brunch menu. We were very disappointed to find that they stopped serving brunch many months ago. The manager came and apologized to us and offered to buy us a round of drinks. He said they have been battling Open Table for months to remove the brunch section from it's online menu, and for some reason they refuse to do so. Hey Open Table, why don't you go ahead and remove brunch from their offerings so as not to mislead your users? If you're looking for great craft beer and food, this place is great, but don't come here hoping for brunch.
Food was great! Would definetly eat there again when I'm in Boulder next.0
The whole family loved the menu choices and food!
Outstanding service! Great beer and good food. Wonderful location!
I was anxious to try this restaurant for Mother's Day what a flop. Waited 35 minutes for appetizers and then waited another 30 minutes for dinner. I had the Mac & Cheese with chicken. They forgot to add the chicken they took it back and when they brought it back out to me the chicken was cold & slapped on top of the MAC & Cheese disgusting . Never coming back!!
The people running this place are the best--Dealing with them over the phone and in person was a pleasure, and the servers provided for our rather large party with friendliness and flexibility. We truly enjoyed this venue for a farewell-after-graduation Saturday lunch, and appreciated the staff and servers' desire to please. Our sandwiches and salads and other entrees all contained fresh and interesting ingredients, and were prepared and presented competently but unpretentiously. If you dine here, make sure someone in your party orders at least one of the many permutations of macaroni and cheese. We had the pulled pork mac and cheese, and it was DIVINE!
Fantastic food, excellent beer and outstanding service. A great experience, highly recommended. The tea smoked ribs were insanely delicious!
Great food and beer. The live music was a great touch!
Terrific place; excellent menu and be sure to ask for Heidi as wait person! She is exceptional Thanks, too, to Chad, the Manager, for making our visit and celebration of wife's special birthday most memorable. We shall return!
Five of us went to dinner a few nights ago looking forward to a good time and good food. We certainly had a good time but the food was horrible. Two of us had muscles and with fries and they had just dumped the fries on top of the pot of muscles and everything was overcooked. We tried the poutine and I don't think that they have ever had the dish to know what it is supposed to be like. Basically everything was tasteless and over cooked. Beer was good and the sword of us was adequate. We will never go back again
Biggest surprise? Full kids menu.
Waiter was very friendly but seemed out of it...
Very slow to bring appetizer and had to comp it after it came out with dinner. Slow to refill drinks and had to be reminded several times.
But he was nice and I think he may have been overwhelmed with the crowd. Food was very good and I love the location and TVs in case you want to watch a game or two.
Will go back!
The menu looked great and unique, but we were disappointed with several items. The Belgian Picnic included chicken pate which was the "chefs choice" and not preferrable. 2 of us had the salmon patty sandwhich... It had so much potential, but the bun was stale and burnt (was brioche instead of focaccia), and the salmon patty itself was very dry. 2 of us also had the fish tacos, but they were sadly very bland.
My family has been coming to that spot for years (formerly BJ's) to celebrate birthdays. The service was good and the atmosphere nice, but the food was quite disappointing.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Highly recommend making a reservation, the wait on Saturday night was 45 minutes for a table, but our reservation was seated immediately. Wonderful service.
Despite having an OpenTable reservation, the maitre d' said he couldn't seat us for 10-15 minutes. Once we were seated, we had a friendly waiter. After he took our order, we waited approximately 30 minutes with no food before he comped us with 1 bag of fries for a party of 6. Another 20 minutes later, our food started arriving, albeit intermittently, with 5 minutes before all of us received our food, which turned out to be bland and overcooked. No apologies for the tardiness or incompleteness of delivery. Poor experience all around, and I'll never return.
We liked being at the big table upstairs by the window. Nice view out over Pearl Street. Quiet enough to have good conversations with out CU daughter and 5 of her friends. Creative menu, excellent service. Thanks!
My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant after flying from Nashville to Denver. We loved our server. She was super attentive, helpful, and great with recommendations. We ended up getting the mac n' cheese and an order of fries. It was amazing! My boyfriend is still talking about the french fries! Drinks are a little pricey for what they are. Otherwise, great find, great walking area around the restaurant, and tons of beer choices!
First visit to West Flanders. Will be coming back. Very good food, service, and oh yeah, fantastic beer!
Have eaten dinner and lunch here. Both very good. Try the pot pie, perfect for a cold winter day.
I had reserved our family to sit at the high seat area. Once we got there, it was too loud to even have a conversation. I asked the waiter if we could switch to the front of the room. He did even better and took us upstairs overlooking Pearl Street to a quiet table. Great service. Definitely will be back.
During peak seasons/times, I would definitely recommend a reservation unless you want to wait. The food is good (love the homemade mac and cheese, fish and chips, and fish tacos), and the atmosphere is very pleasant whether on a date or in a group. The upstairs feels light and airy and the downstairs feels more cozy. The wait staff is very nice and accommodating to families and people with other needs. Give it a try!
Went with a friend over the weekend. We made reservations on short notice but they squeezed us in. Ordered one of each of the "small plates" and wasn't disappointed. Great location, wait staff were very courteous and friendly.
Our server was slow to get to us. We ordered guacamole for a starter but didn't get it for at least 20 minutes. It was good, I really liked their chips. I ordered the chop salad, which was okay. Hubby had one of the sandwiches which he thought was just okay. I felt like the place was pretty dirty. We won't be running back.
They welcomed our boisterous group with open arms, gracious and attentive service, and delicious food and brews!
Casual pup type place. Beer brewed in house. Lots of choices. Flat bread was good. Perfect amount for a light dinner.
It took forever for us to get our beer, even though it wasn't too busy. But the food was delicious and the dining experience overall was nice.
Great, friendly service.
Delicious food every time we go here.
First time visit, service was great, a very relaxed atmosphere as you would expect in Boulder. I will definitely return when I am back in the area.
Love the food and atmosphere , and the staff is always friendly. We will continue to choose to dine here.
Great burgers and awesome beer selection! Our server, Tyler, was very friendly and attentive!
We checked out West Flanders because of the craft beer and food options. The deviled eggs and beer were delicious. Unfortunately, as often happens with craft brewers, the restaurant was out of many of our first choice beers. We ordered two flights and the waitress returned 3 times to tell us that the beer options we selected were not available. The restaurant was relaxed but loud. A live band set up while we were dining. However, the outdoor seating reduced the effect of the restaurant noise, as it blended well with the general culture on Pearl Street. The staff was very friendly. I would return to West Flanders and recommend it to others.
