West End Johnnie's
They were very accommodating. We were able to be seated earlier so that we would be on time for a show at the Garden.
Went here before the Bruins game, quick walk to the Garden but away from all the crowded bars on Canal St. Service was great, we were seated right away and had a check quickly too even though it was crowded. Food was good, although my husband was excited to try the housemade sausage which was tasty but dry, he didn’t end up finishing it because of this. We have gone here for brunch and it is delicious and fun.
I’ve been to reggae brunch many times, but this was the worst time yet. The waitress gave poor recommendations regarding food, forgot to put in certain orders for my daughter and overall was not very good. The host, however was friendly and sweet. Music was good but they didn’t have their usual singer.
Second visit to Sunday Brunch and equally as good. Food and Service terrific and the band was GREAT!
High energy spot before Bruins game. Fast attentive service and great food.
Great place to go before a game at the garden. Great sports crowd and sports vibe. We ordered wings as an appetizers they were very good but you only got a few, very small quantity. I got a salad and it was good. The others got grilled chicken sandwiches And thwy were good. Best reason to go is really for convienece to the garden food is what you would expect from a sports bar-good, not great. Nice staff!
Short ribs are really good. So is the buffalo chicken dip. The service is what sets Johnie’s above the rest.
The food and service is always great. We go here before Celtics games
So many things to love about Johnnie’s, food, drinks, but top is that the servers really hustle which makes all the difference when you’re trying to get over to the Garden on time.
Always a great meal and great service. Excellent for dinner before a Garden event.
Fabulous Sunday Funday destination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great place for a couple drinks. Awesome decor inside. Food was average. The wings were ok, homemade sausage plate was really dry, burgers were over cooked.
Never got our food after waiting an hour. We had to leave to get to the game. Really disappointed. Usually a great place to go eat before games
Go to place when going to Celtics game. Great food, good atmosphere with bar and TVs but not crazy crowded. The fact that they take reservations is key as opposed to the others around the garden.
Great spot for all ages. Excellent steak tips.
Went to west end Johnnie’s for dinner Tuesday before a show at house of blues. Ate at the bar, bartender was very friendly, drinks were great. Dinner was outstanding. Would recommend. Awesome experience.
Great place. The chefs turn out consistently delicious food!
Our favorite in the area. Amazing whiskey selection.
Great place to grab a bite before going to TD Garden. Highly recommend lobster corn chowder.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service, and good food - perfect for a before show/even dinner!
Johnnies - our favorite!
Definitely the best option near the Garden. Outstanding food, drinks and service!
I live in the West End, and love West End Johnnie's. Food is fantastic, never been disappointed, as is the service. Thank you!
Great Place! Menu is good lots of good choices from burgers to steak tips.
West End Johnnie's served the hottest food I have received at a restaurant in a very long time. Even with a pregame crowd, the service and food were outstanding. I could not say enough about my experience at West End Johnnie's.
The service and overall look of the restaurant was great, perfect for before a concert. We were a group of 3 adults and 5 children so they put is in a semi-private room, the girls felt so special it was perfect. The food wasn't as outstanding as I was anticipating, but it was still very good. Close to the Garden, great spot to go before catching a show or a game.
Stopped for a bite to eat before a concert at the TD garden. We were seated right away with reservations. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Service was paced well. We both had the French onion soup. Very tasty but one of the most expensive I’ve had in a while. The lobster Mac and cheese was good but lacked a decent amount of lobster. For the price, more lobster would have been expected. My sister had a burger and she said it was yummy. We split the lemon creme brûlée. That was just the right amount of sweet. Overall very good experience. We already plan to return for our next concert!
Great spot before a Bruins game. Wasn't that crowed and was able to get a seat. Good value.
My husband and I went before a game for dinner on a Tuesday. Although the location was good and the restaurant is adorable the food was just ok. We had high expectations after the French onion because it was phenomenal but our dinners came out before we even finished our soup and were not as good. My husband ordered medium rare steak tips that came out well done and my pasta had a flavorful sauce but the gnocchi was over cooked and a bit chewy. We probably won’t go back if we are in the area again.
Appetizers were amazing, loved the grilled swordfish. Wait staff was wonderful. Would definitely come back!
Johnnies is the best spot for pre-Garden food and drinks. Great quality and fast, attentive service.
First visit to West End Johnnie's and I would definitely go back. Was there prior to Bruins game so the place was hopping! Great energy. My dinner was delicious. I had a glass of pinot noir. All in all it was very good. Server was excellent. Just wish the menu was more extensive.
Always great food and service.
the food was incredible, amazing service and such an amazing vibe!
We love Johnnie’s!
It was delicious food, and we loved the birthday candle surprise!
The food was a solutely delicious. Service was much faster than expected but paced well with appetizer and entree. Looking forward to trying more of the menu.
Recently had dinner before a show at the Garden. We were lucky enough to have a reservation on a busy night. We were seated promptly and our waiter came over to see us within a minute. Our drinks were great and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the French Onion Soup. Delicious! We decided this will be our go-to place before events at the Garden.
