This place isn’t terrible but I can’t recommend. Had an Easter brunch reservation in place for more than one month. Arrived and were greeted by a “bouncer” checking everyone’s IDs. Was seated at a highboy four top with backless bar stools smack in front of a DJ. I asked for another table and the hostess replied that the other tables are being held for reservations- when I reply that I also have a reservation she can only offer outside seating. It was about 60 degrees this morning. They were completely unapologetic and I guess truly felt it was appropriate to seat older people in backless bar stools in front of the DJ. The food was ok, nothing special. The waitress we had was very good and her name was Gina S and snaps to her. Skip this place and head to Breakfast Republic which is far better on all accounts.
We ate before The Interrupters show. We had ten people in our group and had a lot of fun while eating delicious food.
Food was great
The staff was amazing and very helpful. Food was great!
Always amazing! I love the service
Drinks were Good, Service was Good, Cool Vibe. The Appetizers/Starters were good Hummus and Dirty Wings, Even the Sliders, but the Surf and Turf, that one needs some work on the Turf. Great place to eat and drink before the Concert.
So it’s a great option if you’re going to see a show next door. The wings are delicious. The skewers are a def pass. The pitchers are the best for happy hour. Did love kid Server but the hostess (I believe was the manager) told us we had two hours to eat and drink and then had to leave because they had reservations after us. We had planned an overdue girls night and thought we had at least 3 hours before the show to chat eat and drink but felt rushed and pressured to leave.
Great service good food and drinks! Wish there were more heat lamps but other than that it was a fun night!
We recently had dinner here before a concert. I made sure to make reservations, figuring it was going to be busy. This was the first time going to the West Coast Tavern and will probably be our last. To start, the service wasn't that great. Half the time we couldn't find our waitress and when another server would happen to check on us, we'd request something, only to be forgotten. Again, we knew they'd be busy, so we were understanding. The breaking point was when the hostess/greeter gal comes up to our table and proceeds to tell us that there is another reservation for our table in 10 mins. Mind you, we just got served another round of drinks and we had only been at our table for a little over an hour, so we were taken aback and shocked by her sudden announcement (cheerfully laughing about it, which really didn't help matters). Per their website, it indicated reservations are for a 2 hour period, so my boyfriend immediately questioned our waitress, who apologized and said she would "see what she could do". The funny thing was there was plenty of seating around (we were at a 2 person TINY table, so it's not like we were a huge party). In the end, they sat the next reservation elsewhere and told us that we could stay until we were ready to leave. As a first time customer, this definitely didn't set a good impression.
If you dine and Bill is over $20, you get early entry to The Observatory through the back door. The food wasn’t worth the early entry for a rush of people pushing their drunk azzes to the front. Hell, it was almost Who worthy.
Great restaurant attached to the Northpark Observatory venue.
Food was very tasty and the staff accommodating and friendly. The "Ribs" special on Weds was cooked perfectly - smoked and tender. charcuterie was made up of quality components, and they even made me a version of my disco fries (fries/american cheese and a bowl of brown gravy for dipping). Fun spot - happy to return :)
The place gets pretty crowded on the weekends. Reservations are set for outside, not sure if this is because of late reservation, but there were open tables when we arrived inside and my reservation asked to be inside if possible. Food was as great as to be expected. Our server was not good. She never introduced herself, made eye contact, smiled. Basically nothing that would make a couple feel as if they were welcomed. Mimosas aren’t very strong and seemed like they were made with fresh oranges which made them very bitter tasting. I’m hoping this was a one time unique experience because the ambiance is cool, loved that they had a DJ playing inside but the music wasn’t too loud. The food was good and I would still like to return if I’m in the area.
Went there for a concert at same. Enid for a ore-show meal. Excellent food and overall experience.
The food is terribly bland. The place is way too loud even for a sports bar.
My first visit compared to my second visit was like night and day. I was not too pleased with the second visit because our young male server followed up on the tables with the younger ladies. We only saw him twice, when he took our order and brought us the check. He did not follow up to see if we wanted more to drink, did not check back to see if our food arrived correctly. We waited a bit for our food to come out, when it did, it was a tad bit chilly. The best part of the meal was the flight mimosas, and the waffle fries, which we had as an appetizer. Maybe it was an off day, but I will go again just for the mimosas.
Our server was never around
Super friendly staff. Great Happy Hour specials. The venue was not oversold so the show was enjoyable and fun!! Will definitely go back.
Way too loud, staff wouldn't allow change of table without a promise to leave by a certain time.
Reserved some tables for my bday and we had a blast. Great service, food, and the dj played some good music.
Servers were on top of it, especially with the drag event going on. Food was pretty good, but not 5-star. Noise level wasn’t great for catching up with friends I hadn’t seen in several years, but would be great for a happy hour with close friends or coworkers.
Our server Gina was so great. It was our first time eating there and we all loved everything we got and the service was wonderful!
What's great: bottomless mimosas and the service.
What isn't great: they kick you out after 90 minutes with only a 5 minute warning.
So my 3 star for service is not an overall reflection on all the staff at WCT, obviously or I would not be returning as much as I do.
We had 2 guests that were a few minutes late but they knew what they wanted and were ready to put in their orders as soon as they sat down, however our first waitress continuously kept ignoring our waves (for a good 20 minutes). Eventually we flagged down another waitress and it was a bit embarrassing because it is out of character for us to do that.
I believe her name was Emily. Emily then took over our table and we were extremely pleased with her and the young busboy (unfortunately we did not get his name). Their customer service was beyond great.
The other thing I would have liked knowing before hand; and by that I mean when I made the reservation, was that we would need to vacate our table sooner than later. We had 4 reminders from the hostess about clearing the table by 7pm. Our reservations was at 515, by the time we settled, ordered and so forth it didn't leave much time to relax and enjoy ourselves. We felt rushed and that was unfortunate for my out of town guests and being that it has never happened to me before at WCT I had no explanation. We were actually told on our arrival that we needed to vacate the table by 7pm. After that, we received 4 reminders within our last hour there (6-7pm). Not uncomfortable what so ever...right?
Great service and hospitality. Had dinner there before an Atmosphere concert and the check in process with the Tavern to the event was a breeze! Would love to go back again was a perfect night out. Nice dinner outside people watching and drinks before. Even though it was a chilly night they had heaters and it wasn’t too bad outside at all. Thank you for a great experience!
Great food and atmosphere! Most people eating there were headed to a concert at the same venue after. I would definitely recommend!
went there to eat and have some drinks before seeing a concert next door. Food was really good, server wasn't that great. we then moved to the bar after we ate to have some drinks, service at the bar was awesome.
Nice beer selection and a very cute dj spinning classic 80s tunes. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was really good.
Happy, hip restaurant with delicious food. Vegan bowl was great. Early admission to adjacent venue was also great.
This place is attached to a music venue. Regardless of your dinner reservation time, security won't let you in until they let in concert attendees. We had 5:30 reservations and were told by very aggressive security personnel that we were not allowed to enter the building until 6:00. So we left and found a very nice tapas place nearby.
Had drinks and pre show dinner on the patio. Food was great, we started with the bacon wrapped dates, Nice presentation and table fave of the night.
We tried different entrees, Buffalo mac n cheese, a house burger with chili, and the Chicken and waffles, and the short rib sliders. Portions were decent.
The Mac N Cheese entree, would actually be a good table sharing dish with something. VERY heavy on the blue cheese and chilies and topped with nice Buffalo chicken chunks. It was too much even for one grown adult! LOL. The Hamburger was cooked perfectly and served with waffle fries. Their version of chicken and waffles is not the typical. Very tasty but they should offer a bit more of the bourbon syrup to dip into, Yum. The sliders came with a good serving of fries and were very flavorful.
Shout out to the waitstaff. We arrived earlier than our reservations and they found us a table and got our drink order quickly. Nice selection of local brews and good mixed drinks. Service was not rushed allowing us to relax and talk and people watch. It was a nice evening .
They are also dog friendly on the patio, so I think we will be back with the fur babies so they can try the pooch menu!
Great food and perfect venue for a pre show dinner. Server was awesome!
It was terrible because they closed due to a power outage, so no experience to share at least they let me know ahead of time.
Really fun vibe, lots of menu items
When we walked in we were not greeted and were walking around for about 2 minutes before we were greeted with you need to go outside and check in at the iPad, )where nobody was )about a minute later he came back to his station. This was definitely not a way to make your customers feel welcomed. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.
Dinner before concert. Restaurant was too loud for my taste, Burgers were good. Service was friendly and timely.
The servers are attentive, proficient and professional. The drinks are well-made, and the food is delicious. West Coast Tavern is an excellent establishment and one I look forward to dining at in future. Keep up the good work!
Overall it's a fun place, very lively- great people watching. It was a bit loud for conversation at times. The flat iron steak was delicious and the burger as good too. The service was a bit slow, the dishes didn't come to the table at the same time but they were both hot.
The food is basic. Nothing spectacular. Pricey for what you get.
Our sever was great and Bahae is a star. Everybody had a great time, thank you very much
Great place to grab a drink and some food before a concert. Super convenient access to the shows. The artichoke dip was great and so were the drinks!
