West 29th Ratings and Reviews
What a wonderful surprise. We were visiting from Scottsdale and went out for a late dinner on my Bday with family. Excellent atmosphere, very good food/ drinks and pleasant service staff. Wonderful place for dinner where you can actually have a conversation with the rest of your party without having to fight the noise. Many gluten free and vegan options on the menu , exceptional patio and no fighting for a parking space. We'll be back!!
The quality of food was excellent, I had the Beef Stroganoff Gargonzola which exceeding my expectations; however, the portion was a little small and should have been larger, or included a house salad or bread. My wife had Fish and Chips and complained that she was still hungry after eating.
The front outside patio is lovely. Beautiful plants surround the perimeter. The service was good. The food was beautifully presented and yummy. The only problem was the live music was too loud. The musicians were very talented. We could not hear each other without leaning forward.
We enjoyed the friendly hospitality from entering the establishment to the time we departed. We found the food to be rich and interesting flavors. Prices were reasonable for the quality and level of service provided. Yes, we look forward to our next experience at West 29th.
I come to West 29th quite frequently and they always have the best food and service! The burger is the best I have ever had - along with everything else I have tried. The waiters and waitresses are always friendly and we never have to wait for very long. I love this place!
There were 3 of us. We had calamari as an appetizer and it was the best I've had west of the Mississippi. I had the duck breast withe seasonal roasted vegetables and black beans...it was to die for. The other 2 members of my party had shrimp scampi and the beef daube. I have to admit we all hinted until we got to taste all the dishes. The were all wonderful. We ate on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful flowers.
This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants around. I've gone there a few times now and it never disappoints. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is out of this world, and the overall feel of the restaurant is great. I took my boyfriend here for the first time and he fell in love with it and said this will be our new favorite place to go. I'm glad I converted another fan!
We have been wanting to try this newish restaurant for awhile and we were so glad we finally did this weekend. It was a delightful meal, in a cozy, comfortable room. I tried the Gorgonzola Stroganoff and my partner had the salmon entree. We shared our starters, a mixed greens salad on a bed of sliced beets and a bowl of beer cheddar soup. All were delicious, and the service was excellent. We will return to this neighborhood gem.
Went with a group (6) to celebrate a 60th birthday. All staff was very helpful and willing to make adjustments for us. Sat outside, but moved inside due to cool temp. All the food was quite delicious and served professionally. Server, Eric, was most flexible, allowing us to change our minds. Noise was a bit too much, but definitely not as loud as a lot of places these days. This place offers numerous seating options, inside and out (two patios), even a small private room for a private dinner party. Bar seating, high tops, and a nicely sized dining room. Did not feel squeezed in nor seated too close together. The interior lighting was nice, bright and sunny due to numerous north and west windows. The menu had lots of good choices so making up one's mind was difficult (this is where Eric's flexibility came in). We will definitely go back. We want to try other options, like lunch, brunch, happy hour and half-price wine night.
We had such a great time on our date night with West 29th. We loved everything we drank and ate and especially loved that the bar was separated from the restaurant entirely. The open kitchen was great for my husband a former chef to sit and watch. We highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back! The seasonal menu is always a win with us!!
This is one of those places that you hope everyone doesn't find because it's such a great little restaurant with great food and a fun atmosphere with a fireplace for the winter and wonderful patio for the summer. There is always a special. The pork chop is fantastic. The salmon dish is so tasty and healthy. there are a lot of gluten free items also. We've always had wonderful servers. Look forward to our next visit.
We have been to this place many times (my son lives next door). Never had a bad meal. This was the first time for brunch and it was very enjoyable. We ate outside and had eggs benedict with salmon, the Croque Madame, and a kid's cheeseburger. All were superb. For dessert we had cheesecake and a deep fried brownie. Both were excellent. None of us had had a deep fried brownie before and it was quite a treat. I see neither that nor the cheesecake on the menu so you may have to ask for it. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Our waitress told us all about the beers and made great recommendations. Very neighborly atmosphere.
