Perfect for a quiet night out. Excellent value.
Beautiful night on the patio, great food, excellent service.
One of our favorite restaurants in town! Great food. Staff is always amazing.
Our food came cold 2 hours after we arrived. There was a local celebrity there getting great service and hovering staff and managers attending to them. We were ignored. We sent our food back. My favorite restaurant is history 😓
To all of staff - Keep up the good work! We will be back!
Great neighborhood spot. Love the patio. Food is consistently good. Manager always there checking on diners. Staff is very friendly
Service is always great.
The patio is beautiful and the food is delicious. There is a nice variety on the menu.
West 29th was superb as usual. I have never had a bad meal there. Will be going back.
Disappointing evening. The crab fritter appetizer looked promising... had good flavor, but the consistency was disgusting... overprocessed pink slime inside. The mussels were average. The trout was very good, but that was the only above average place.
But the service was just inexcusable. Our server remembered the orders without writing them down, which would suggest that she knew what she was doing, but kept forgetting to bring a second glass of wine and some side mayo for the burger, despite being reminded twice. When the food arrives, and she realizes she forgot the wine that was ordered 20 minutes prior, you'd think she'd immediately get it. But no, it never came. She was MIA while we finished our food and return to ask how everything was, and we had to remind her of the things she forgot. WTF? It was particularly galling to see her standing at nearby table for 10 minutes flirting with some young guys.
Atmosphere was great, food excellent, drinks wonderful & service outstanding.
The food, service and setting were perfect. We were surprised that the restaurant did not accept our coupon. The coupon said that it never expired. It was an unfortunate way to end the evening.
A little oasis near Sloan Lake, the outdoor seating is charming, safe, and feels a world away. One of the best meals either of us have had in a long time, and we are foodies. The waiter was simply perfect. We'll definitely be back.
Love the food. Eric - our favorite waiter was great.
One of the better meals I've had in some time. The owner was walking around chatting with people, watching the food go out, maintaining high standards, keeping the wait staff motivated... great experience.
Synthia was delightful! Food amazing. Just perfect. Thanks!!!!
Good place to eat but getting tired of their menu. Same food menu for a very long time.
One of my favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious, the service is always outstanding and I love the patio.
Staff working hard to give excellent service. Always a pleasant experience,
Enjoyed our evening very much. Great food. Very nice dinning room with a round table that is great for dinner conversation. We will go again for sure.
Great local spot.
One of my favorite restaurants. Service was a bit slow tonight, but we understand there is a shortage of wait staff. All staff personable and polite
LOVE this place! Definitely worth seeking out next time you are looking for a quiet neighborhood spot. Just west of Highlands - great location.
The patio is great if the weather allows.
Staff provide OUTSTANDING service.
Perfect place for three generations of family and friends to gather, share a delicious meal and a cheerful toast. Something on the menu for everyone but not so many choices that anyone gets overwhelmed. Perfect wine selections, cozy atmosphere and excellent service!
Nice patio! Great service and delicious food. Cocktails good…get the lavender rosé! I usually drink bourbon, but…
The food, atmosphere, and service were impeccable! We cannot wait to go back, but it is a bit pricey, so it'll be our monthly treat. Everything about our dinner on the patio was delightful.
The patio at West 29th Ave Cafe is outstanding. The water feature makes for quieter conversations.
The menu has many of our favorite food. We especially like the combination of flavors with the salmon and porkchop dishes, with accompanying vegetables. Of course we keep coming back for the calamari appetizer. It's gluten free and has a nice spicier flavor with the crispy coating of peppers too.
The service can't be beat. Our server was very attentive and helpful.
During COVID times, we feel safe with the wider table spacing and outdoor atmosphere. We will be back.
Great, prompt service, delicious food. All 4 courses we had were excellent. My favorite was definitely the mussels.
We have gone to West 29th for years and it never disappoints. The new menu is amazing! Burrata caprese salad was to die for, and the salmon dish with black lentils and veggies was perfectly prepared. I had a lovely rose and my husband had a great local beer, enjoyed in their beautiful patio. We will continue to go back!
Loved the atmosphere and the food! We sat on the patio and it was pretty with all the flowers blooming, and nice and quiet. The food was excellent. Highly recommend!
Our server was terrific. The food was great. We could only get a high top, and it was fine. The website states that all people would be required to wear a mask upon entering, but that did not happen.
Excellent service and wonderful food. We had the stroganoff and eggplant parmigiana. A wonderful place for a special occasion. Highly recommend.
Fantastic dishes. Creative, perfect preparation and presentation! Two garden patios; one quiet and serene; the other with a splashy fountain. Atmosphere is great. Personal service. I’m a regular.
Food was great. Staff was very attentive. David, the manager, was awesome with helping to wine pair!
Friend in town
Have been at W 29th many times, this time for my wife's birthday. 3 of the dinner selections we ordered were out of stock. Service was just ok, nothing special so our birthday dinner was less than we had hoped.
Second time trying this restaurant and not very memorable. We got the crab fritters for app and while tasty, they needed salt and pepper something fierce. My husband got the rock shrimp spaghetti. It was way too fragrant tasting which ruined it for me. I got the pork chop, which was good but I could have made a better one at home and saved a lot of money. I think the desserts were best part of the meal.
Great neighborhood restaurant, very enjoyable setting.
The food was certainly good, but the new manager was weird. Took 5-10 minutes to get seated due to computer reservation problems at the entrance. The manager didn’t know how to help his staff. The ambience was good. Wont go back there.
Since it's opening, 29th continues to provide an excellent dining experience. Food and patio make for a pleasant evening.
