First time here, the foods was good. I ordered the King Salmon and it was cooked perfectly. My sis ordered the lobster tacos and she they were delicious. Service was very good, always there when you needed someone.
This was our third time coming here and haven’t been disappointed once. We think we have found our new restaurant for my friends and I to enjoy our Monday nights off. We have been trying to go out in groups of 6 or more to go down the line of the great menu but we still keep going back to the same great options. Love the scallops and the cioppino.
My wife and I visited Wence's for the first time for an early Sunday dinner before a classic movie showing at the cinema. We were seated immediately and the service was great from start to finish.
The overall dining experience was great too. We shared the artichoke appetizer and wedge salad and both were yummy. My wife had the house white wine with the salmon which she said was excellent. I had a zinfandel with the filet mignon and the steak was deliciously tender and expertly prepared.
We both had coffee after the meal and shared the beignets which were soooo good. I liked them as much or more than those we had at Café du Monde in New Orleans.
We will return!
Incredible food and great service. A hidden gem in a strip mall
one of my favorite restaurants in the area. the food and service are always great!
Very good experience
Well, was disappointed in a recent outing to Wence's for a special birthday dinner. We were cordially greeted, and the restaurant looked lovely. However, the service was off, and the food was lackluster. The server never cleared our wine glasses (not used), and we had to ask him to get rid of our appetizer plates also, on a very cluttered table. But it was the food that just wasn't great. Caesar salad was watery, chicken scalloppini, dry and over-cooked. Jambalaya tasted off, and the huckleberry-pear crisp had too much ginger in it. Had been there before and liked it, but had the steak before.
Very much enjoyed the brunch! Food was very good. Service a bit slow and it wasn't that busy. Had to wait a while for a coffee refill. Overall very nice place and good food.
Too noisy should have something in the ceilings to obstruct the noise.
Service spotty. Waiter David had too much else going on to pay attention. Food was delivered cold. Eggs Benedict was lukewarm and we kept having to ask assistant for everything. She did not speak english very well but was helpful. Brunch was tasty but because it was lukewarm to cold very disappointing. This was our first time there and most likely last. Very very slow service. Waited 15 minutes before acknowledged and at that moment not busy.
High quality lunch but we happened to be there when there was a loud party. We’ll be back to try again.
We have eaten at Wence's more than 15 times and they do a great job with the food and service. The menu has lots of variety and it is fun to try something new. The specials are fantastic, I had the Sea Bass with clams, prawns and lobster on a bed of cous cous, it was wonderful.
Had a nice quiet table. The BLT and the chicken salad were great! Service was really nice.
Consistently a great meals! The service was always good, but the last few visits, I have been blown away by the improvement in the service. It just enhances an already GREAT eating experience.
I invited a friend to celebrate her birthday and our reservation was for 5 PM (before going to the movies). We were surprised to see how many people were already dining. I enjoyed my oysters and we both loved the Wence's sea food plate. Each fish and sea food were perfectly done and the white wine sauce with capers was delicious, so was the polenta. The dessert were very good and rich! The veg could have been a bit more cooked. What really made the experience less pleasant than expected was the noise level. We could hardly hear ourselves although we had a booth in the back. Perhaps the restaurant could create less hard surfaces to dampen the noise level?
Could not hear each other talk.
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Food is always good.
Our group of 8 enjoyed our monthly get-together. The staff was friendly, flexible, and very professional. The food was well-timed, the right temperature, served In a timely manner and delicious!! We were able to use multiple credit cards to make dividing the check easy. Several people on our group were here for the first time and said they would come again!
Wence’s is a very nice and comfortable local spot for a spontaneous outing or an arranged gathering with friends. Ambiance is nice and a great bar to settle in for a drink if there’s a wait. It’s a regular spot for my husband & I.
We always enjoy dining at Wence's. The food is very good. We were surprised how many were dining on a Sunday evening - happy to see it vibrant.
Enjoyed a beautiful Sunday Brunch yesterday. Have been here for dinner twice, but never for Brunch. Will definitely visit again. The 4 entrees we chose were Eggs, Bacon & Sausage; Crab & Avocado Benedict; Breakfast Sandwich; Kids Plate. The food was very good, although my husband said his bacon was overcooked. We also had a Bloody Mary & Mimosa's. Staff was very friendly.
Rude hostess, took forever, 20 minutes to get drinks, another 15 minutes to get bread and another 20 minutes to get a meal.. who has that much time for a casual meal?? The waiter was nice but overall C-
Definitely not going back.
Missed our reservation time by 11 minutes. That's my fault. They gave my table away so I had to wait, no big deal.
After 25 minutes when my name was called I went to the host podium through a large group of people only to find out they gave my table to another party with the same name. I told them why don't they just explain to the other group that they had made a mistake but they did nothing. We had to wait another 20 minutes for a table.
Our server was okay. The food came out luke-warm. My wife's scalloped potatoes were cold. Getting our sever to check in on us for water or other things we might need was difficult. Looked as if he was serving too many tables to keep up. Even getting the check seemed like forever. Maybe I just wanted to leave so badly I was becoming impatient. The restaurant is nice looking but the noise level is unbearable.
First time here, last time here. Too bad. I had high hopes.
The first time at Wence's the service was good and the food was good. Wence's was able to accomodate the family, which is a large party with kids and that's always a plus. Combine all that and Wence's is a great place to enjoy a meal.
I like the fact that they have several seafood choices.
Food and service was very good. Had 7:15 reservations and got seated at 8:00p - not good at all.
Love this place!! You have to experience it for yourself...food is amazingly delicious!!
We went to Wence's for the first time on Valentine's Day. Although they were busy, and of course we had to wait for a table in spite of reservations (usually true on big dining out evenings), we received personal attention that exceeded our expectations, including adaptation to a special diet and special help choosing wine.
We have been going to Wences for years and love it. They never disappoint. They have grown in popularity so reservations are recommended. Oysters Rockefeller is a must each time we visit. Lobster cream soup is also great.
Come often for happy hour. This was the first time here for a nice dinner. It was a great meal. Very tasty and creative.
Always good! Close to home and good affordable food. Staff is great. Casual but still elegant.
Service was mediocre; waiter was inattentive on this particular occasion.
The menu selections are great, especially the starters menu. The quality of the food was excellent, as was the service. My only complaint is the noise level inside. It's hard to carry on a conversation, but the food is so good, I'd go back any time.
Great food and service. We had the special-crab and appetizer fondue, the Chilean sea bass, the French onion soup, and the prawn cocktail. The French onion soup was just okay, and the rain cocktail was good but they were tiny for the price. Everything else was delicious. The cookie skillet was also good.
We met friends here for lunch. It was a beautiful day and we were seated outside. Unfortunately it became clear that the umbrella wasn't able to shade us enough so we asked to move inside. The waitress graciously sat us inside where it was quiet and cool although the ambiance was lacking I had the lobster tacos. They were good but the spicy sauces overpowered the delicate lobster. The sweet potato fries were good. My husband had the fish and chips and he was happy with his lunch. The remaining 2 people ordered salades nicoise. It had beautiful rare tuna on top. They both finished their lunches and I think they were quite happy with their meals. If I am in the neighborhood and am looking for a good place for lunch I would have no reservations about returning although it is not a destination restaurant.
All employees were very helpful and very good at their jobs. Hostess, wa
Our first time here. Everything was fantastic and it’s our new Fav place.
The food: excellent with nuanced flavors
The service: helpful, timely. Spot on.
It’s a bit loud, but not to the point you can’t have a conversation.
The only issue is the parking, not their fault, but give yourself extra time to find a spot if lot is full.
If you would like to read my review on Wence's go to Yelp! Don't need to spend anymore time on this restaurant.
My sister took me here and I loved it so now I come here on my own...love the jambalaya! This dish is full of seafood, is spicy with saffron taste, and is an ample size. Another thing - their coffee is really good!!
