We arrived at 6:15 and were not served until 7:45. It took 40 minutes to get a glass of water. The food was cold when it arrived on the table and not once did the waiter come and check in until he dropped the check off.

I always enjoy my dining experience at Wence's. However, I feel this is not the place for a
quiet intimate meal.

We normally have excellent service at Wence's but on Saturday our waiter was very abrupt with each encounter with us.

Also, the noise level is now getting to be too much to have a nice conversation.

The food was excellent.

The creamer for coffee was soured and when it was replaced at my request the new creamer was sour again. They did comp my coffee at my request. We sat near the door and my wife was cold.

Seated immediately. Service was attentive. Food was great!

We were seated in the most private and romantic spot in the restaurant. The food was fabulous, as always and the service by Edwardo was exemplary.

The salads and dessert we had were all very good. Unfortunately, even though we dined at noon, they were already out of the brussels sprouts salad. The ambiance, and I use that term loosely, could really use updating. However, we will definitely return as the food is very good.

Really like this place. They were behind on reservations but we were able to wait. The noise level in this place is unbelievable. No matter where you sit it is loud. Patrons don't seem to care how loud they get, but I think it's mostly the acoustics are bad. There is nothing to absorb the sound. I think they should really look into fixing the situation. I would love to bring others here but if the have any hearing problems this is the wrong environment to be in. Great food and service. The drinks are excellent.

Fix the sound and this place could be great.

We enjoy the food at Wence's We do NOT enjoyed the extreme level of "din" that is experienced. It seems that no matter how many people are dining, there is a level of ambient noice that adversely affects the experience. Simple conversation at your own table is challenging. On this particular occasion there was one table in the secondary dining room occupied by 5 young women who apparently decided that they would be heard by EVERYONE ELSE, whether we wanted to hear them or not. They were yelling and laughing incredibly loudly such that those of us at the rest of the tables were giving looks to each other. The food is good, but not sure we'll be back.

Excellent service and food. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is due to noise level. It is difficult to carry on a conversation.

It was my moms 82nd birthday, which was ignored by our waitress. We’ve been to Wence’s on many occasions. This time we were disappointed. We had to ask for refills of water and to get coffee. A few of us had cold Benedicts served to us, and the food was ok. They were NOT busy, so to not have attentive service and cold food was very disappointing.

My family and I LOVE Wences and are probably there once a week! The service,food and cocktails are all excellent.

Our group of 8-10 ladies meets for lunch at Wence’s once a month. The food is always so fresh and delicious, and we love the wide variety of menu options including chef’s specials. The service is excellent, also, and there’s plenty of seating for small or large parties. Wence’s is an outstanding restaurant!

Really love this neighborhood gem but the Sunday evening we brought our cousins here, the restaurant wasn’t firing on all engines. My thought is that they were busier than they expected.
We sat in the large dining room and all the tables were occupied. I had requested a table in the bar area per my reservation however this was not acknowledged when we checked in—we were just taken to the large dining room. I was surprised since when I’ve been here before mostly the space has been empty. The room had a noise level that made it difficult for us to hear our conversation primarily because there was a little girl nearby who was way out of control!
I have been served by our waiter to great effect in the past, but I think he misunderstood ( maybe he couldn’t hear me?) and forgot to take my drink and my entrée order! Everyone was quite happy with their food selections ( 3 king salmons and a hamburger!) but on the three king salmon entrées all of our mashed potatoes were cold.
I will be back of course but it would be nice for the restaurant to take note of some of these issues, since this was the first time for the rest of my party.

We have been to Wence's several times over the last 5 or so years. This time, it was for my wife's 65th birthday, and we wanted to celebrate with family. As always, Wence's doesn't disappoint, in food, or service. We had a lovely meal, had brought a beautiful cake, which Wence's cut and distributed. The service was very good, and very attentive. I had the Pasta Jambalaya, which is one of my favorites.

1st time there. Great experience. Kind helpful server. Clean nice upscale restaurant. Delicious food and good drinks. Stayed for 3 hours, great atmosphere! 5 stars definitely.

Wonderful dinner with friends, everything was perfect!

Everything great except they could use some sound dampening panels on the walls and/or ceilings to reduce the noisy room sounds.

We had to ask several times to have dishes removed when we were finished with them ie after appetizers and before main dishes

Food was good. (Fish was kind of stinky.) Service was okay, but server made an error with the bill (overcharged) and when I questioned him, he was quick to deny it or offer apologies. Paid the bill and called the restaurant the next day to speak with the manager (Sandra). Sandra confirmed the error and offered her sincerest apologies and informed me to ask for her next time I’m in the restaurant to resolve this issue.

The food is great but service is hit or miss. They struggle with having enough staff.

We took our oldest son and his girlfriend for dinner on a Friday night. The crab cake appetizer was very good, the sauce and capers as well as the veggie slaw took it to another level.
My husband had the salmon and said it was one of the best he’s had- cooked perfectly. Our son had the seafood pasta and liked the sauce so much he cleaned the bowl with bread to get every last drop.
We had both the pumpkin cheesecake and the dulce de leche creme brûlée for dessert. Both had great flavor.
It was rather noisy, but that’s to be expected for a busy Friday night.

We went here for a wedding anniversary. Awesome food (as always) and attentive service. Definitely recommend making reservations as it was really busy.

New Year’s Eve

Great food, ambiance, and service. Need more of this in the burbs!

Great brunch selection, and good parking. The Eggs Benedict was delicious. Fast service.

Place was packed. It’s the holidays and all but the food just wasn’t there. My salmon was swimming in some unnecessary sauce. My friends had the filet mignon eggs Benedict and said the meat was awful. Same for my friend who had the filet Cobb salad.
I love Wence’s and I hope our bad food was just a fluke.
The service however was great!!! No complaints there.
