My wife and I went for our anniversary. The wines on tap are not to be missed, even by wine snobs! The food was just outstanding. Highly recommended!

We went New Year's Eve for reservations at 8 pm. Interesting enough the place was full but we did not have to wait for our table. We had the 5 course meal for $60 each and that included a 9 oz glass of wine. My entree was interesting...the fettuccine was served inside 3 large clams. It was delicious. Another interesting appetizer was the mussels in a wine sauce with French fries sitting on top drizzled wth truffle oil. That was absolutely delicious. Will have to go again and try other interesting items on the menu.

The wait staff were amazing with their knowledge of the menu and the wine pairing to go with each selection. Chris greeted and was very pleasant and outgoing, made us feel very comfortable. One of the best meals I have experienced in a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Thanks to all who took care of us!!!!

We attended as a group for a small corporate event. The restaurant was open to the public and we only had a table reserved. No one in our group had ever been.

By 7pm the place was filling up and the volume increasing. The vibe was so great. Servers walking past each other complimenting one another. Our server seemed new, and she needs to work on increasing her own volume, but her knowledge of the wine list and menu was stellar.

As the place was packed, we experienced imperfections with a couple of our meals, but these were handled graciously, quietly and without embarrassment to the member of our team or the restaurant's. I enjoyed the 3 course (Caesar Salad, Chicken w/ Mushroom Vermouth & smashed potatoes - I missed the dessert, but my colleagues said the chocolate wontons were deadly :)

I am not a person who loves eating out, but this place felt comfortable for me. I felt like I was at a local secret hotspot...and I have already made reservations for my birthday next week :)

Restaurant has an interesting concept - fixed price menu of $60 for 5 course meal. 5 courses can include drinks (wine or beer), appetizer, main course and desert or any combination (only restriction is maximum 2 drinks). Each main course has various options on cooking method and/or sauce. Food was excellent - lobster bisque very tasty, ordered steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. They have their own winery in the restaurant. Nice decorum with best table was in front of fireplace. Chris, the owner, was always present but in the background. Camela, our server, was excellent. We will definitely be back!

We were welcomed and seated by co-owner Chris who spent several minutes getting to know us. Our waiter did an outstanding job of describing the menu and specials and was quite attentive during the dining experience. Really liked their modified prix fixe menu which allowed 3-5 choices per person but applied at the couple level. The food presentation was interesting and the offerings uniquely prepared. The chef came to our table to insure we were satisfied with the preparation. The quality and quantity of food was a real value for the upper end of our dining scale, i.e. $150 Canadian including house wines which were both very good.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. We were looking for something that was outside the "basic hotel deals" type of restaurant. It did not disappoint. We were promptly greeted when we got there and our table reservations was set. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant gives off the feeling of intimate, warm and welcoming. The staff were cheerful, inviting and engaging. We were given thoughtful suggestions for our meal and drinks. Our meal came out and we were given a brief tutorial of what were eating and a how we should eat it.. which gives you more of a dining experience, especially if you are used to just shovelling food into your mouth. The food was cooked to our requests, and tasted amazing. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and we would come again for sure!

Amazing to start. We were treated great when we walked in and got a chance to speak with the owner. Great salads and fried goat cheese balls to start. This is where it ended unfortunately. We had a 45 minute wait between the apps and main dishes. When they did come out the steak was cold and covered in sauce and the pork was overdone and not my favorite. It has a lot of positives but to drop over $100 on a meal, I expect a lot more in the service and quality of the main course.

When we first came in we weren't sure if we were to wait to be seated. It took a minute but then a very friendly gent came by and showed us to our table. Service was good. I didn't try their wines but others in the group said they were good.
Of our group of 6, three ordered steak. All came out very undercooked. Two went back (my husband kept his; he has funny ideas about what happens to your food when it goes back). They refired both and comped both meals entirely which was more than I would have expected. Very apparent that they want guests to be happy. This was very unfortunate as having half the table wait or unhappy with their meals puts a damper on things. My husband's reluctance to request his steak cooked to the ordered temperature (his own issue) also soured his opinion of the restaurant personally. My chicken supreme was good and the clams casino and other entre (can't recall what it was) were consumed without complaint.
Food was a bit slow to come out and having to have food refired added to it. We didn't have time for dessert.
Prix fix menu format was interesting. A decent value in my opinion. Again I find what happened very unfortunate. Had everything been cooked as requested this may have been a place to go back to.

We had a wonderful time and if are ever back in the area we would go again! My husband and I decided to choose the 5 course each and loved each part. We actually were able to sub drinks into the course so it was a lot of food but just the right amount. We met the owner and he is very wonderful and truly cares about the quality of the food and the overall dinning experience. This is a must try for any foodies, like ourselves!

in town on a recent conference. while most attendees went for the main drag, chain style restaurants, we went off the beaten path, as recommended by Gloria who works in a store in the Sheraton. beautiful night for a walk. arrived early, and found a pretty vacant restaurant. the greeting we received was akin to coming home after a long absence! the concept was explained to us and offers were made to try this wine or that. i honestly felt i was eating at a friend's house. then the food arrived. holy cow! amazing. spectacular. delicious. ample.
easily the best restaurant i have been to in more than 10 years. as we enjoyed our incredibly presented meal, the restaurant began to fill up. everyone was greeted the same as us. everyone was just so happy to be there in that moment - the patrons and the staff. the bill was very reasonable (we knew going in what we would pay) without any additional (surprise) charges. beautiful steak with bernaise. wonderful caesar salad, terrific wine. great chocolate wontons

It had a great wine list but other than that the food was a bit over priced and the selection was not that big. The appearance of the plating and the way everything looked was incredible but the taste did not match, you can get some of the same items at a local wildfire or other high(er) end restaurant at half the cost.
And also, if you're not a big wine individual - the options are limited.
I may go back for a special occasion but that's it.

This was my 2nd time and I brought new friends this time.
Service by the waitress was prompt and Chris the owner was as friendly as ever.
My tuna app was just as good as last time.
And the espresso rubbed filet mignon I could cut with my fork! Sooooo tender and super tasty.
The house Cabernet is a perfect match.
Friends had a great time and we talked about the evening the next day!
We will be back again soon!

We have been coming here the past three years for our anniversary and service and food are always worth the drive. Great food and particularly love the concept of picking and choosing 3 or 5 "flights" of food for set price. This time we ordered more apps and supplemented with the great "on tap" wines which are shockingly good. But it is the service that keeps us coming back as we enjoy being treated as if the staff really enjoy serving us! Such a treat and makes the whole experience enjoyable. We even showed up an hour early for our reservation and had the owner apologising profusely because the spcial table he had reserved for us was not ready yet.....imagine that. Needless to say we will be back next year.

Flexible menu, great ambiance/decor, attentive service - can't think of anything we would change! We booked online for a group of 7 celebrating at 7:30 pm. They called to confirm our reservation at about noon, which was a lovely touch. Attentive service, truly eager to please. In addition to server, we were checked on by the owner and the chef. The decor was interesting, eye catching, and yet warm and inviting. Food was amazing. Meals prepared as requested, if something wasn't quite right (fries instead of mash - they just delivered extra food to the table, rather than re-plating and letting the meal cool and stall the course of dinner). It was a simply amazing evening. Wouldn't hesitate to return. A truly special treat.

Food featuring local choices had been lovingly prepared, our wait staff were attentive and helpful to the complexities of the menu and we were visited twice by the owner of the restaurant who helped us appreciate his passion for this place. After dining there, my husband and I both agreed that we had just eaten the best food of our lives. IT.WAS. THAT. GOOD. Amazing. Chef was so creative--he took the time to come out and talk with us--Chris, one of the two owners, was very friendly and wanted a positive dining experience for all of his customers...it was a wonderful experience and the next time we feel like taking a 6 hour drive, we'll head there for dinner!

We ordered our meal and was it ever the BEST. The Chef (Robert ) came by our table and we discussed food. The man is a genius. Keep up the good work
