We went to see the live entertainment in the bar and had great food, drinks and service.
First visit to Websters...we caught them on a slow night--which was great! We got a chance to talk at length with some of the great wait staff and the chef prepared for us a special appetizer (Waygu steak w/ ice cream and cherry balsamic vinegar), brought it out and chatted with us a bit too. Everything was flavorful and had a unique presentation. Great combination of flavors, textures, colors, etc.
Best meal I have had in a very long time.
One of the best, if not the best steak I ever had in Kalamazoo!!!! I will definitely return... OFTEN!!!
The food was outstanding and service was exceptional. We will be definitely back next month.
I had steak and scallops, my wife had the duck. Very well prepared. Dana was a terrific server, paced the meal nicely and never felt rushed at all.
Our first visit to Webster's Prime was beyond our expectations. From the moment we approached the hostess stand until we left, everything was exceptional. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food was out of this world. The young man playing the keyboard and singing was very talented. It was truly a special night. Our experience was on par with what we've enjoyed in Chicago and Detroit, and we were very impressed. We'll definitely be back!
It’s in the hotel. It’s a hotel restaurant. Food was good, but not a top restaurant. Think dressy version of Outback Steakhouse.
We thoroughly enjoyed the visit but it's quite pricey.
Service was average at best. For the prices of the this restaurant, would have expected a much higher level of service. Disappointed, probably won't go back again.
The service was excellent. Food was very good. Great selection. All around comfortable setting. Would recommend to anyone looking for an upscale dining experience.
Went to Webster's for our Anniversary. Very quiet comfortable atmosphere in the dining room. The server was very nice and well trained. It seemed like the waitstaff was very busy even though there were only maybe 4 table seated the entire time we were there. He was rushing around the whole time, as were the other team members. It was a Wednesday and they have music in the bar and a wine special, along with 2 large parties in the private dining rooms, so maybe that was it. It took a very long time to receive our dessert after ordering. The main course was perfect. Salad was good. All in all a very good experience.
Excellent food and service!
The service was great! We were welcomed by the hostess and taken to our table right away. Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations for food and custom drinks. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and presentation was spot on! We will come back again!
Excellent food as I had the mussels and my friend had the salmon. Wine list was great and wait staff are extremely friendly and helpful!
Celebrating anniversary, should have patrons who want a quiet evening away from families with crying children. This was the only negative part of the dining experience
Went for our Anniversary, we had great service, wonderful food and great service. We did the Steak for two menu, which in my opinion is an amazing value. Nice to have a local Steakhouse that competes with big city chains.
Live music, incredible bartender and outstanding food. Highly recommended place for a great mean and night out.
Webster's was worth every penny. Best meal I have had in a very long time and the service was excellent as well. All 4 of us received our steaks cooked exactly as ordered and the pace was just right, neither rushed nor too slow. Would highly recommend for a special occasion!
Absolutely loved the experience! Expensive but worth the money for a special occasion!
My husband and I went for our 2nd Anniversary and the food and apmoshere was great! We had a great meal and good service as well.
My husband and I went for our anniversary. They treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant and multiple employees came around to wish us a happy anniversary. The $99 menu on Friday and Saturday night is so worth it!
Everything was exceptional, pricing of product was quite high for portions served.
Had a great time. Meal was very good and staff was very attentive. Will be back.
It had been awhile since we visited Webster's and decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week, so glad we did. We loved the selection of food offered for Restaurant Week . Both the food and ambiance were excellent. This is a great place especially for a special occasion. Planning to come back for our next anniversary.
We eat here because of restaurant week. Unfortunately for every day dining it would be too pricey for our budget. Might come for a special occasion.
Wonderful dinner, food is excellent. We all enjoyed a delicious, melt in your mouth steak. Enjoyed a nice sweet Riesling. Service is great. Noise level got louder as evening went on. I do have a hearing problem and conversation became challenging. Would recommend a meal here for special occasions.
Restaurant week menu wasn't as good as in the past
Waygu steak was excellent and the polenta "steak" was delicious.
I went to Webster’s for restaurant week with a group of friends. The selections were great, portion sizes generous, and the quality was superb. This is my favorite restaurant to visit for restaurant week!
First time here and reality did not live up to the hype of its reputation. Prices were appalling and food did not seem to warrant them, but we all stuck to the fairer Restaurant Week specials. Large wine list, mostly by the bottle. Free warm pretzel bread was delicious. Some unique food offerings. Decor and ambiance were nice enough (kind of boring with a few awkward spatial relations) but not terribly impressive (especially the restrooms). Not sure why they opted for the view-through kitchen as it was not nice to look at and added noise, though the faux stove front was interesting. Awkwardly large elongated booths made conversation difficult. Oversized chairs at the tables too. Still lots of open floor space somehow--they use carts to bring food to the tables sometimes! Might be good for special occasions when spending a lot feels fitting but otherwise no great desire to return.
By far the best meal I have had in this city. All too often when I request medium rare, it comes back medium. Not here, cooked to perfection. Great portion sized and perfect flavors. The staff is on point.
Excellent service and amazing food creations. Will be back again and again.
Service was great for a summer Friday evening date night during Art Hop -- we did the 2 for special and while my wife's steak came out fine, I asked for medium rare and had to send it back twice (first over-done; second frozen inside) I was told the main chef was on vacation and they were very apologetic about it (even took some off the check). I don't like sending any food back but at a fine dining, steakhouse - I just wanted to get a good steak the way I asked for it.
We went for the special dinner for 2 for $99 which advertised live music. I envisioned a crowded room with some smooth jazz or piano playing with an energetic vibe .. The place was pretty empty, no live music and kinda of boring . The steaks were top notch and the side dishes were generous. However the French onion soup was terrible! It was so sweet it tasted like onion bread pudding. For such a high priced menu I was expecting more of a WOW factor... probably won’t be going back.
Excellent food and service. Was my son’s college graduation dinner and the staff went way out of their way to make it special. I’ll definitely go back.
Excellent meal and helpful staff. They made our special event truly amazing! The Ribeye and Tamahawk Pork Chop were wonderful!
The occasion was my wife's birthday. We sat in the area where there is live music. The service was very good. We could order at the pace we were feeling. The bread was very tasty. It was great with the crab cakes. I ordered salmon and my wife ordered the wagyu strip steak. Both were excellent. The side dish orders are large. So plan to share any side dish. We ordered the creamed spinach, which was fantastic. The music was very enjoyable and relaxing. On occasion, we diners joined in with the performers to sing a bit. There were some couples that danced to the music. Music was provided by a violinist and a guitarist/vocalist. The volume was ideal for carrying on conversations while the music was playing. A very relaxing and enjoyable evening out.
Was very nice service good food good just over priced
2nd time at Webster's and it was lovely! They had a great deal for 2 that included a 3 course meal. I loved it and the food was amazing. Service was also outstanding. They gave my fiance and I free champagne once we told them we were celebrating our engagement. I would recommend for a fancy night out or special occasion.
I was at Webster's in December and had a fantastic steak We went for the $99 Weekend Special and were very disappointed. Our steak was over done, burned and not well prepared. It might have been 8 oz. but probably less. The salad was not great.
If the objective of the weekend special is to encourage people to dine more often at Webster's then our experience would not encourage us to return. There are many other restaurants that are a better value and much better food.
Live up to your reputation of being the best restaurant in Kalamazoo
