I invited three people to meet me at Websters. I ordered the beef with hollandaise sauce, but before ordering told the server I would like them medium rare. ( I can not stand over cooked meat) She said they try to cook them that way. When they came, they were such small pieces of meat that they were all cooked well done. That's why I specifically asked if they could make them medium rare. They were awful and it was a waste of money. I did not want to make an issue in front of the professional people I had invited so I didn't say anything. I would expect a much better product from Websters and was terribly disappointing. We also went on a Wednesday because the web site said they had music on Wednesday's.
When I inquired about the music when it should have started I was told that they had something the night before so they were not having music. It should have stated that on the website. I was sorry I chose Websters for those two reasons. Service was good.
Went this time for restaurant week. The steak special was ok but not their best. I would argue Webster’s is the best place to get a good steak in Kalamazoo though.
Excellent Restaurant week menu. Well we loved the appetizers and mains, but dessert was what drags it down from a 5 star to 4 star. Cool piano playing in the background, attentive waiter made great wine recommendations. Looking over the regular menu prices it looked more reasonable than i expected. we will be back.
Restaurant week menu; it was fantastic.
Great service, great food and wonderful ambiance. We will definitely return soon. Thank you!
We expected more from a high end steakhouse. The potatoes augratin were average at best. There was no zip sauce for the steak. I ordered medium rare and my husband ordered medium and they both looked the same
Restaurant Week menu at Webster's is one of the best values around. The quality of the food and service was excellent.
Thank you so much for an amazing dinner for my husbands birthday. We tried each of the restaurant week specials. I've already recommended others to participate in. You helped make a special day mean that much more! Thank you!
The online reservation system was easy to use. The steak for two dinner option was a great deal with delicious and filling food.
It was very good. My wife and I both ordered filet mignon, which was well seasoned and had a nice crust. However, mine was overcooked. The Mac n cheese as well as the truffled potatoes were good. I loved the pretzel bread. The drunks were good. The service was good. Ambience was ok. Probably a little overpriced. I honestly prefer J. Alexander's but this was good and convenient.
Our server was great and made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions and made great suggestions for the evening. We Weill definitely be back soon and recommending all of our friends.
Our first time here, it won't be our last. Tiago was was great and timely. We never had to ask for him. The food was amazing! We discovered new favorite dishes! The dry aged steak is worth every penny!
The food at Webster's is always top-notch, but it's the service that sets it apart. It starts with Anna, the manager, and all the staff members follow through on it. Tonight we were served by Dana, who has an uncanny ability to appear just as you were thinking to look for her. She paced our dinner perfectly and we had a wonderful time, as always.
Our food was amazing, unfortunately our server was not. The overall experience was still good just out specific server knew nothing about the food we were ordering from the menu. It felt like she was a loaner from a different restaurant.
Valentine’s Day was made very special with the romantic atmosphere. The special guest, Dylan Tolbert, really made the experience that much better. Not to mention that waitress, Dana, did a fantastic job with the service. She had great recommendations and we barely had a wait time. My husband and I are expecting and she even offered me sparkling grape juice. It was funny yet a great choice with dinner. My husband went for quality over quantity and was very satisfied with the Waygu and to his surprise he enjoyed the ceaser salad with anchovies. My favorite was the French press with chocolate torte. So worth it.
We love the ambiance, fabulous service and delicious food.
We had been to Webster’s once before, had their wagyu beef and thought everything was just stunning and perfect.
This last time it took forever to get our food and our check. We actually ended up leaving the money on the table because we were sick of waiting for the lady to come pick it up.
The food all needed to be salted. I wouldn’t normally complain about food, but when you pay $50 a dish, I guess I expect it to be better than what I can make at home.
Food was great and service was even better! Will definitely return soon
Good for business meal
We come to Webster's quite often but this time our prime rib eyes were medium and not medium rare, somewhat dry and not as good as usual. Our lobster bisque,, Cesar salad, brussel sprouts and of course the pretzel bread were excellent as was Nicole our server.
I brought my boyfriend to Webster's for his birthday. The staff, service, ambiance and overall experience was very good. I was disappointed with my steak, as it had zero flavor, which surprised me based on the ratings I read. I would come back based on our very enjoyable overall experience but would not order another steak from Websters.
NYE dinner was Fantasic. Such and amazing place but not cheap. Money is worth it though
We were pleasantly surprised by our great dinner and even happier to experience the $99 weekend special. Our only negative comment would be the fabric on the seat of the booth made it difficult to "slide" over to make room for others.
We'll definitely be back.
They couldn’t cook a steak to the proper temperature, this is a steakhouse. Restaurant was dead, not hard to see why. Spent $200 and that was way higher than the value provided.
Our visit was very pleasant - the steaks were excellent - the sides were OK. We were concerned, though, as there were only three parties in a rather large dining room.
Very nice place, great food, higher end prices, but it's hard to find a great place with consistent quality.
My wife & I both had the ribeye, would try a different one next time. We are only here twice a year, ( Kalamazoo Toy Show ), so hard to remember what we had from time to time. I tend to like more jazz or ambient type background music, but a quite atmosphere adds to the higher end feel of better restaurants.
We went to see the live entertainment in the bar and had great food, drinks and service.
First visit to Websters...we caught them on a slow night--which was great! We got a chance to talk at length with some of the great wait staff and the chef prepared for us a special appetizer (Waygu steak w/ ice cream and cherry balsamic vinegar), brought it out and chatted with us a bit too. Everything was flavorful and had a unique presentation. Great combination of flavors, textures, colors, etc.
Best meal I have had in a very long time.
One of the best, if not the best steak I ever had in Kalamazoo!!!! I will definitely return... OFTEN!!!
The food was outstanding and service was exceptional. We will be definitely back next month.
I had steak and scallops, my wife had the duck. Very well prepared. Dana was a terrific server, paced the meal nicely and never felt rushed at all.
Our first visit to Webster's Prime was beyond our expectations. From the moment we approached the hostess stand until we left, everything was exceptional. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food was out of this world. The young man playing the keyboard and singing was very talented. It was truly a special night. Our experience was on par with what we've enjoyed in Chicago and Detroit, and we were very impressed. We'll definitely be back!
It’s in the hotel. It’s a hotel restaurant. Food was good, but not a top restaurant. Think dressy version of Outback Steakhouse.
We thoroughly enjoyed the visit but it's quite pricey.
Service was average at best. For the prices of the this restaurant, would have expected a much higher level of service. Disappointed, probably won't go back again.
The service was excellent. Food was very good. Great selection. All around comfortable setting. Would recommend to anyone looking for an upscale dining experience.
Went to Webster's for our Anniversary. Very quiet comfortable atmosphere in the dining room. The server was very nice and well trained. It seemed like the waitstaff was very busy even though there were only maybe 4 table seated the entire time we were there. He was rushing around the whole time, as were the other team members. It was a Wednesday and they have music in the bar and a wine special, along with 2 large parties in the private dining rooms, so maybe that was it. It took a very long time to receive our dessert after ordering. The main course was perfect. Salad was good. All in all a very good experience.
Excellent food and service!
The service was great! We were welcomed by the hostess and taken to our table right away. Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations for food and custom drinks. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and presentation was spot on! We will come back again!
Excellent food as I had the mussels and my friend had the salmon. Wine list was great and wait staff are extremely friendly and helpful!
