My husband and I went for our anniversary. They treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant and multiple employees came around to wish us a happy anniversary. The $99 menu on Friday and Saturday night is so worth it!
Everything was exceptional, pricing of product was quite high for portions served.
Had a great time. Meal was very good and staff was very attentive. Will be back.
It had been awhile since we visited Webster's and decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week, so glad we did. We loved the selection of food offered for Restaurant Week . Both the food and ambiance were excellent. This is a great place especially for a special occasion. Planning to come back for our next anniversary.
We eat here because of restaurant week. Unfortunately for every day dining it would be too pricey for our budget. Might come for a special occasion.
Wonderful dinner, food is excellent. We all enjoyed a delicious, melt in your mouth steak. Enjoyed a nice sweet Riesling. Service is great. Noise level got louder as evening went on. I do have a hearing problem and conversation became challenging. Would recommend a meal here for special occasions.
Restaurant week menu wasn't as good as in the past
Waygu steak was excellent and the polenta "steak" was delicious.
I went to Webster’s for restaurant week with a group of friends. The selections were great, portion sizes generous, and the quality was superb. This is my favorite restaurant to visit for restaurant week!
First time here and reality did not live up to the hype of its reputation. Prices were appalling and food did not seem to warrant them, but we all stuck to the fairer Restaurant Week specials. Large wine list, mostly by the bottle. Free warm pretzel bread was delicious. Some unique food offerings. Decor and ambiance were nice enough (kind of boring with a few awkward spatial relations) but not terribly impressive (especially the restrooms). Not sure why they opted for the view-through kitchen as it was not nice to look at and added noise, though the faux stove front was interesting. Awkwardly large elongated booths made conversation difficult. Oversized chairs at the tables too. Still lots of open floor space somehow--they use carts to bring food to the tables sometimes! Might be good for special occasions when spending a lot feels fitting but otherwise no great desire to return.
By far the best meal I have had in this city. All too often when I request medium rare, it comes back medium. Not here, cooked to perfection. Great portion sized and perfect flavors. The staff is on point.
Excellent service and amazing food creations. Will be back again and again.
Service was great for a summer Friday evening date night during Art Hop -- we did the 2 for special and while my wife's steak came out fine, I asked for medium rare and had to send it back twice (first over-done; second frozen inside) I was told the main chef was on vacation and they were very apologetic about it (even took some off the check). I don't like sending any food back but at a fine dining, steakhouse - I just wanted to get a good steak the way I asked for it.
We went for the special dinner for 2 for $99 which advertised live music. I envisioned a crowded room with some smooth jazz or piano playing with an energetic vibe .. The place was pretty empty, no live music and kinda of boring . The steaks were top notch and the side dishes were generous. However the French onion soup was terrible! It was so sweet it tasted like onion bread pudding. For such a high priced menu I was expecting more of a WOW factor... probably won’t be going back.
Excellent food and service. Was my son’s college graduation dinner and the staff went way out of their way to make it special. I’ll definitely go back.
Excellent meal and helpful staff. They made our special event truly amazing! The Ribeye and Tamahawk Pork Chop were wonderful!
The occasion was my wife's birthday. We sat in the area where there is live music. The service was very good. We could order at the pace we were feeling. The bread was very tasty. It was great with the crab cakes. I ordered salmon and my wife ordered the wagyu strip steak. Both were excellent. The side dish orders are large. So plan to share any side dish. We ordered the creamed spinach, which was fantastic. The music was very enjoyable and relaxing. On occasion, we diners joined in with the performers to sing a bit. There were some couples that danced to the music. Music was provided by a violinist and a guitarist/vocalist. The volume was ideal for carrying on conversations while the music was playing. A very relaxing and enjoyable evening out.
Was very nice service good food good just over priced
2nd time at Webster's and it was lovely! They had a great deal for 2 that included a 3 course meal. I loved it and the food was amazing. Service was also outstanding. They gave my fiance and I free champagne once we told them we were celebrating our engagement. I would recommend for a fancy night out or special occasion.
I was at Webster's in December and had a fantastic steak We went for the $99 Weekend Special and were very disappointed. Our steak was over done, burned and not well prepared. It might have been 8 oz. but probably less. The salad was not great.
If the objective of the weekend special is to encourage people to dine more often at Webster's then our experience would not encourage us to return. There are many other restaurants that are a better value and much better food.
Live up to your reputation of being the best restaurant in Kalamazoo
My wife and I dined here for our anniversary. Our experience was a pleasure. The food and service was excellent. Couldn’t have been more pleased. Would definitely go back again.
Our dining at Webster's is always an exceptional experience. The wait staff is outstanding and very attentive. Great steaks!
I should have looked online to read other reviews. The percentage of bad ones was higher than the good ones. The entire restaurant smelled of onions. We ordered our steaks "medium", however they were delivered to the table completely charred. We sent them back. Our side dishes had been microwaved. The creme brule was horrible (burned and blackened). I told the waitress that creme brule was supposed to be golden brown on top, not black and smokey. She said "That's how they do it in France". I've had much better meals at my mother's house....for free. After leaving, we were nearly struck in the parking garage by a speeding valet driver who was not paying attention. It was definitely a memorable experience, but for all the wrong reasons.
Great Restaurant. Great Food. Atmosphere was very classy with personnel appropriately attired. The waitress was wonderful, friendly, conversive and helpful. Described the food offerings thoroughly. Food served in a timely fashion.
Dinner before prom. A bit pricey, but wanted some place nice. Dessert was AMAZING!
The food was OK. We ordered the chicken and it was very tough. The wine we ordered last time was not available so we settled for a less wine type.
Our first experience was very good but our second time was a disappointment.
Excellent food and music, service was pleasant. We had made a reservation for later in the evening and when we stopped by to see if we could change it to an earlier time, we were told no; however, the restaurant was all but empty when we arrived. The food was excellent and the music was wonderful. Definitely plan to return next time we are in the area.
The meat was not cooked the way we ordered it.
The medium well was raw
The medium was very very rare.
The wait staff was wonderful and the food was spectacular. We both got Steaks, she got a filet, I got a dry aged ribeye. We both ordered medium rare and that is exactly how they were cooked. We shared sides of creamed spinach and sauteed mushrooms and they were perfect. We got glasses of merlot from New Zealand. Everything was excellent. It is not cheap, but well worth it for a special occasion.
Food was awesome, service was good. Very nice place for a special occasion and or date night.
Food and service were outstanding. It was quiet and very nice. Was able to hold a conversation and enjoy the person I was with. It is a little pricey, so be prepared to spend some money, but all in all, it was worth it.
Very delicious meal!
Meeting someone special for the first time & wanted to impress her with a romantic dinner. Both of us were from out of town so I had a terrible time finding the restaurant bc it wasn’t on the side of the street it’s address is listed. I had to circle around 3 times to finally see their sign hidden almost a block away. Couldn’t find the Valet Parking either so by the time we parked and walked over, I was already 10-15 mins late for my reservation. Then we couldn’t find a door anywhere around the sign that matched our restaurant but only another. Decided to go into the other restaurant to ask but saw an electronic sign that showed Webster’s so we went down some hallways to look for it. Finally saw some directional signs inside the building that led us to the front lobby of a hotel after some deadend hallways & turn so was left w no choice but to ask the front desk who pointed us up the escalator and finally found it in the back corner upstairs. Turns out the Valet & Address was for the hotel building that encompasses all of the businesses but coming from way out of town we had no idea!
Despite the frustration of finding the hidden restaurant, we were met by some extra friendly staff. The prices were easily the most I’ve ever considered, but again I wanted to impress so I wasn’t exactly surprised. I booked the date for 7:30 bc it said there would be live music after 7pm. I forgot to ask why, but all they had was some jazzy background music playing which was okay but the empty piano nearby would have really sealed the deal for what I was looking for.
There was a very light crowd for a cold, Friday night but that gave the waitress plenty of time to take care of us. She was determined to find the perfect sample of wine for my dates liking & nailed it. Both of us were no experts on steaks so we followed her suggestion between a few options and went with the sirloin.
The steak had an amazing grill flavor seared into it and was excellent. Food and service was perfect!
Food was amazing, restaurant was quiet, service was great. We will be going back for sure.
We came in for a celebration and had a wonderful experience. Our server was so great to us and truly cared about us having a great time and enjoying our meal/drinks! We left and met up with friends and raves about our food. Would recommend for a celebration or just a nice date night out.
Amazing food, amazing service.
Wait was minimal and the ambience was lovely.
Webster's is true fine dining from the service to the meals offered. Our absolute favorite place to dine!
My girlfriend and I spent an exceptionally pleasant evening for a post Valentine's day celebration and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
Love the servers, bar staff, the hostess and Tyler! You all rock!
The Shirley Temples are to die for....
Expensive, but the food is so damn good. Definitely worth it.
