Webster House Ratings and Reviews
Webster House is the most delightful place in Kansas City for a special occasion. Thank goodness we have this place. Thank you to Mrs. Helzberg for making it unique and beautiful. I always feel like I am her guest and I am always inspired by being there. The staff is attentive and the food is beautifully presented. I love all the rooms and the merchandise is exquisite.
Pre-concert dinner. Wait staff is highly attuned to concert schedule & is diligent about ensuring that we had ample time to make the performance. Both service & food were excellent. We each had duck, which was excellent. Then we shared a bread pudding which was just average.
The Webster House has outdone the Country Club Plaza; I would rather go there than anywhere else, easy parking, the fun of shopping before and after dining and exquisite things. Christmas was just an awesome display - takes the place of what Halls was .......I come in from Leavenworth; I use to live and then go to the plaza every chance, no need with the Webster House, or to the French Restaurant, Provence (I think is the name) You have created an elegant place that is slowly going away in the world and I thank you for that with all my heart, for I fear we are becoming too unconcerned about aesthetics and beauty and wonderful service (that is a big deal at Webster House) even the restrooms are elegant. Thank you for preserving class and beauty in this ever dull, graying, technical world. Debby
This was the second time I've had brunch here this year. It is such a beautiful place and perfect for a special occasion. This time was a holiday get-together. The brunch menu is very nice - truly has something for everyone: I had the smoked salmon hash, others had a meat-free salad, a tenderloin benedict, and a frittata (again meat-free I believe). Everything was delicious and creative. Our server Gary was attentive and friendly - and patient. I love this place!
Had brunch with family from out of town (Columbia, MO and Washington, DC). Everyone was impressed with the exterior of the building, the surrounding neighborhood, and the Kauffman Center. The shopping area was full of Christmas decorations and created a cozy, Victorian-era ambiance. The hostess and server were very friendly and helpful. Everyone ordered brunch cocktails that were delicious and not over-priced. Our party had steak benedict, quiche, fritatta, and other items, and everything was delicious (generous portions, too). After brunch, we casually finished our cocktails and headed back downstairs for more shopping. It was our second visit and we've all fallen in love with the place. It will be high on our list for any special occasion.
AS ALWAYS ...... EVERYTHING was superb!!! Darin always greets us like we are so special (but then, he extends that 'special' greeting to all guests, I am sure! Gary, our Server, was fantastic! The entrée, coffee & dessert were perfect!!!! Kudos to the various chefs!!!
Thanks to all for making this another wonderful Brunch experience!!!
Several of our co-workers had not previously been to Webster House and enjoyed the shopping after our lunch. We got a kick out of ordering one of everything from the desert menu and having everyone try it. Staff went out of their way to make everyone feel relaxed. They were friendly and professional all at the same time. Nice job. We'll definitely be back.
We went for dinner prior to a show we were ti attend. Our waiter (Ben?) was very helpful and did quite a nice job. They are used to people on a time crunch and do everything to accommodate the timing needs. It is however quite loud in there. The view from our table was beautiful. Food was amazing and the waiter knew the menu quite well. This is a favorite place for us to go and we will definitively be back.
They asked if celebrating special occasion, and I told them my fiance and I were announcing our engagement to family. Webster House made the evening very special and memorable! They offered to print our own menus with wording at top congratulating us on our engagement. They then brought all of us champagne to celebrate. I can't believe this is the first time I have eaten there. Look forward to going back and will come earlier to shop their antique store. Special place!
Once again I was very pleased with Webster House. My friends had not been there and they thought I had outdone myself on the selection. We did not allow time for shopping on the fabulous main floor, but got the idea of the selection and elegance. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable. Great evening, great drinks, great food
Love Webster House for pre show dining. Only problem is the last two times I’ve been there, we’ve ordered desert thinking we would have plenty of time to enjoy it. But, desert service seems to be very slow. By the time we received ours we needed to pay and be on our way
