Sincere prompt greeting.
Table ready for us.
Michelle, our server was welcoming, knowledgeable, timely, accurate and joyful just as she was last week at a luncheon with Mom and Sister.
We started with a delightful summer salad of watermelon, arugula, pistachios, and more.
We both ordered the sliced steak sandwich.
Upon tasting my husband exclaimed,”That is a good sandwich”! After a few more bites he said,”No,that is a perfect sandwich!” The roasted smashed fresh herbed potatoes were delicious also.
Also enjoyed perusing the fine jewelry, clothing, cards and decorative. Robin’s hospitality was warm, engaging and helpful.
Will plan to return soon.
If you haven’t been to the $10 luncheon menu for 10 days you have The rest of this week to experience. Don’t miss out!
A delightful experiment celebrating my birthday with friends!!
We had the brunch. The food and service were excellent. The room was rather noisy.
Delightful brunch! Peach Bellinis were perfect. Enjoyed browsing the merchandise in the galleries on the first floor after eating. Perfect Sunday afternoon destination!
Lived in KC for 30 years and don't know why it took me so long to take in this fabulous place. Fun antique shopping downstairs. Great food awaiting upstairs.
We came to celebrate a birthday. Lori was our server and she did an excellent job!
Excellent menu and outstanding entree of tuna. Dinner service was very slow on a crowded early Friday evening pre event at next door Kauffman Center.
I love the Webster House, but on this occasion, the food was a bit of a let down. also, the charge of $22 each for pasta with butter for 2 children was a bit exorbitant.
THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!! W ENJOYED EVERY BITE! THE CHEF DID A MARVELOUS JOB.
Great atmosphere to catch up with a friend. Really enjoy the 10 for $10 lunch specials.
Warm greeting. Very knowledgeable wait staff. Well prepared inventive dishes.
It was an awesome experience from the minute we approached the dining room. We were seated in the bar. The food was excellent, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, the wine was good. All in all it was a good experience.
I love Webster House. It’s super cute and the food is delicious! It’s great for Sunday brunch. The steak Benedict was delicious and so was the quiche. I am pregnant so I couldn’t partake in mimosas but I can’t wait to go back when I’m not!
Webster House is on our list of places to dine and shop when it’s girls weekend in Kansas City (we’re from Omaha). This trip we enjoyed 10 AM Sunday brunch.... favorites were the frittata and quiche. Gary was our server, he was especially attentive and fun to chat with.
The food and service were both impeccable. The atmosphere in the south dining room is more sedate. We didn’t go into the bar or kitchen dining areas so I can speak their atmosphere. VERY pleased with the experience!
We celebrated our fifth anniversary by eating dinner at the Webster House. Dinner was exceptional, and so was the service. We even had our own custom menu.
Food was simply incredible. Would definitely return.
Michelle is a wonderful server and the salmon was superb.
It was our anniversary and we had a perfect lunch in a beautiful place.
The total ambience of Webster House is simply lovely and uplifting. The rooms in the shop are exquisite. Thank you to Mrs. Helzberg for creating this divine space. We so appreciate her unique style.
Wow is all I can say about our brunch experience at Webster House this past Sunday. We were celebrating my daughter's 23rd birthday. The building is gorgeous to start with - so the mood was set. Our server was attentive, helpful and a professional. The selection was interesting and the food awesome. I loved how the menu said "Happy birthday" to my daughter. The hostel and our server also said happy birthday to her which made her feel great. Can't wait to go back again.
VERY FATTY BEEF
SMALL over cooked salmon $35/
Terrible COFFEE—did not drink but one sip—no offer to remove the $for it
The chocolate/peanut butter dessert was the only saving grace
The food was not very good. My wife’s food was just not a good idea for a dish and my was very bland.
The staff was very courteous. The music was awful(80s elevator music).
We were celebrating our 21st Anniversary. The entire dining experience was wonderful and very relaxing. We had a lovely time.
Great food in a historical building. Love to drive into KC for special occasions.
The service had a hard time taken care of 6 people had the same time. She mixed up orders, forgot to bring drinks for several people. She mistakenly pull water on my cell phone. For larger groups, I would suggest more staff to service the tablet.....we were celebrating a 70th birthday...and a 80th birthday....neither person was impressed with the service
Wonderful place for special occasions. Super nice people managing and serving. Our server Gary was fantastic and we will always ask for him when we go back. It is a foodies delight her with complicated, yet delicioustasty dishes and huge portions. I ordered quill thinking it would be a little lighter meal. I couldn't even finish it even though it was incredible! The best meal my wife and I've had in many years!
The menu lacks creativity and the food was not of the quality for cost. Quite a disappointment.
We had a lovely dinner with a seat against the window to have a nice view of the area. Our server was amazing and our food was very good, especially the appetizer and soup.
Everything was great. Our server was very good and attentive. The food was delicious.
We got to wander around and look at the boutiques with our cocktails, as sounds of the jazz do all in the supper club came drifting down the stairs. The food 💯 was delicious. Our waiter, Dan, was such a gentleman. It was his last night before he moved to Oregon. The tuna with the coconut pineapple rice was wonderful.
Great evening. I had the quail and it was beyond what I expected.
If I could give more than 5 stars for service and ambiance I would! Beautiful place and amazing service
Fabulous experience from the moment we arrived! Staff is friendly and welcoming. Our server Dan was fabulous; knowledgeable about the food, helpful with suggestions and just the right amount of attention. We were celebrating our anniversary but I would come back often for the food and ambiance.
Server very abrupt, not very friendly. Music too loud & about 12 other people in room & chatter was overwhelming. Could not carry on a conversation without yelling
Always a treat every time we cousins can get together And go to Webster House
This was my 3rd time at Webster House and it gets better every time! All of our dishes were outstanding. Some of the best calamari I’ve ever had. We can’t recommend the duck breast and the halibut enough. The server was knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. If there is anything that could be improved, it would be the cocktails. They were good, but not to the level that properly compliments everything else about the Webster House experience.
Webster house was perfect. Neat ambiance and very kind staff all around. We went for Saturday brunch.
Aside from the marvelous location next to the Kaufmann Center, Webster House is gorgeous. Downstairs is a boutique; alas we had no time to shop, but it certainly looked intriguing. The service was absolutely great and the dining room we were in was stunning. As to the food, I felt that there was some over-reaching, some needlessly overcomplicated approaches to what might have been a classic dish. The calamari was excellent; our salads, just average. Two had haddock (I think); one had duck maigret (slightly overcooked with an Asian sauce that was interesting but added nothing to the richness of the duck); another had the ribeye. All was good - just not transcendental, and at this price point, that is our expectation. Desserts were only adequate. Again, needlessly complicated. A creme brûlée made from tofu seemed pointless. It was too dense, and most certainly could not have been lower calorie count than the classic! So, what was the point of that? ANYWAY, given Webster House's location, superb service, and decor, we would return. But, bring a wad of money for th experience!
I have eaten here several in a couple or part of a group, and always enjoyed it. The food is very well prepared. The waiter we had this time was especially good.
Dining experience was much better in April 2016. Have you changed chefs since then?
Wonderful food as always. Do not let the street construction stop you from dining here. July is not as busy as other times of the year. Will be back to check out the shopping.
