Weber Grill - Lombard Ratings and Reviews
The food was good. Our server/waiter seemed a bit off on knowledge of many things we asked him. From drinks to desserts. Maybe he was new...
It took rediculous forever for our drink orders. At one point my cousin was going to get up and check if the orders were put in.
Place is close to home, good for large parties, drinks are good and food is good.
We frequent this location which usually is outstanding. My best guess is that because of the holiday season and the large crowd service was extremely slow, the waiter not as accommodating as usual. We had early reservations at 5 and they were already out of brisket. Will keep going as usually a great place but might reconsider holiday celebrations.
15 minutes past reservation 7:30 pm we were seated.I don't have this problem with other restaurants which are far fancier. Mashed Garlic potatoes were cold. 1/2 roast BBQ chicken was rubbery. (The Patio's BBQ chicken is better) The waiter was busy as he had many tables. I did see front staff walk through restaurant many times. Managers could/should have pitched in to help. Will not return. Many other restaurants in area that have better food/service.
Recommend: Wedge Salad with real bacon. Rolls were good and warm. From then on it went downhill.
We visit Weber's in Lombard for lunch once or twice a year. It's always a relaxing break from shopping in the area. We prefer the bar so we can catch a game on TV, have a sandwich and a beer or two. Food is reasonably priced and the wait staff is always great.
It wasn't the best experience. My brisket was super dry, completely tasteless. The BBQ sauce is the worst BBQ sauce I have ever had. The service was decent, however the hostess who took us to our table obviously didn't have her best day. She wasn't smiling, wasn't friendly or even helpful at all
I LOVE this Weber Grill location! I have been here before for a business lunch, so when a friend suggested this location, I was all in. We were seated in very spacious booth promptly even though a couple of us arrived a little early. Our server was Evan, and he could not have been nicer and more welcoming! He brought cocktails (Bloody Marys) promptly and suggested an alternate version of a Bloody Mary with Jamesons (yep, you read that right) instead of vodka, promising us we would love it....so, our second round we took him up on the suggestion, and he was right! Delicious! Once we decided, again using menu suggestions by Evan, we were super satisfied with what we ordered! I could go on and on and on about the warm pretzel rolls that come with whipped butter and what seemed like a cheddar cheese spread....The French onion soup was rich and delicious, piping hot with gooey cheese on top and a nice hunk of bread swimming in a delicious onion-y beef broth. We also followed the soup up with 3 Mediterranean salads and 1 salmon salad which were huge! All of the salads were heaping with fresh veggies and dressed with just the right amount of dressing. We never felt hurried or rushed. We were all in agreement that this might be a good spot for future outings! I highly recommend this Weber Grill for great service and superior food too!
Had an excellent filet Mignon. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The dining area is on the nicer side but toward the end of our dinner about 7 staff stood near our table talking and joking around. They also began taking the fall decorations down including one of them climbing up onto the side of a booth behind us to move something and another person sweeping under my boyfriends feet while he was eating. It was pretty unprofessional and left my overall impression a bit negative. If you are into grilling and steak, go. If you are more focused on swank/ambiance, do not.
This was the first time me and my family went out for thanksgiving dinner. The food was good, but our waitress Natalie suck. I don’t know if she was drunk or high, but she barely got are meal correct and she barely checked on us. She came to our table ever 20mins and my salad came after my entree. It also took almost an hour to bring the check and to cash us out. Smdh...I recommend this restaurant, but if you have Natalie as your waitress please request a new waitress.
Got a reservation the day before Thanksgiving, arrived 1/2 hour early, restaurant was packed, but was seated right away. Service was quick, friendly. Food was very good for the most part. Croutons in the spring salad detracted from the dish, tasted stale, squash soup was excellent, portion was too small for such a delicious offering, roasted asparagus had a few woody ends, disappointed, turkey was good, gravy was good, just not enough, sausage in the sausage stuffing was blech, cranberry sauce was excellent. Pumpkin pie was meh, but the pecan pie was Awesome! Overall a good meal, a little too pricey to accept sub-par food quality.
We were out of town and needed a place to eat for Thanksgiving. WE have never gone out on a holiday as usually at home in Michigan, but visiting elderly grandparents in Berwyn, Illinois with our 4 school age daughters. We were very pleased to find Weber's Grill in walking distance from our hotel, The Hyatt Lombard (also a great deal for families and great service). We were definitely pleased by the price, selection, and service from Weber's. We come into the Chicago area a few times a year and will definitely be back to Weber's. Great food and selection for everyone! Fast and friendly service too!
Went for Thanksgiving, turkey was fabulous. Very limited side choices which I understand but their options were not the best. Dessert choices only 2 & neither was good. Our server was really bad & messed up our orders. This does not deter me from returning.
Met a couple of friends for dinner, and it was great. Mohammed was our server and he was terrific. He was attentive, NOT over-bearing. There was a loud obnoxious group a few tables away that was very annoying at first; once they left (thankfully) we were able have a conversation where we could actually hear each other. The food was excellent, and presented well. Definitely will go back.
we had enjoyed eating at Weber grill in the past but extremely disappointed with the food, I had meat loaf and my daughter had a burger which was good, my wife also had a burger and asked for it well done, it came out pink and was sent back to be cooked more, upon its return the cheese was gone and she complained that it tastes like lighter fluid but eat half, at home I took the burger from the box and it did have a strong smell of lighter fluid, either the cook was mad about the food being returned and put lighter fluid on the burger to cook it well or it was placed on a freshly started grill which had not burnt off the starting fluid
My wife and I had a terrible experience at Weber Grill. Our waiter never asked if we wanted refills, would not take away the dirty plates and talked non-stop. We waited over thirty minutes for our food only to find out that what I had ordered was sold out and I had to pick something else. For the prices, it was a disappointing experience all around.
After having walked into two other local restaurants and met with a 45 minute wait, we decided to try Weber Grill. It was awesome!! We got in right away and decided to sit in the bar. Excellent service with Mohammad and the food was fabulous! We decided we needed to go to Weber Grill more often.
In my opinion the Weber Grill isn’t what it used to be. I have there three times in the last three months after not having been there in a few years. We gave it one last try and find we believe the food preparation has changed and the food quality not what it once was. Ironically one of the patrons behind us complained to managers about a very poor New York strip he had ordered. Not a bad experience but not what we expect from The Weber Grill. If your looking for a four or five star meal, this is not the place. The name and former glory will keep it around a while yet, however, it may be a dead man walking.
