Weber Grill - Lombard Ratings and Reviews
Met a couple of friends for dinner, and it was great. Mohammed was our server and he was terrific. He was attentive, NOT over-bearing. There was a loud obnoxious group a few tables away that was very annoying at first; once they left (thankfully) we were able have a conversation where we could actually hear each other. The food was excellent, and presented well. Definitely will go back.
we had enjoyed eating at Weber grill in the past but extremely disappointed with the food, I had meat loaf and my daughter had a burger which was good, my wife also had a burger and asked for it well done, it came out pink and was sent back to be cooked more, upon its return the cheese was gone and she complained that it tastes like lighter fluid but eat half, at home I took the burger from the box and it did have a strong smell of lighter fluid, either the cook was mad about the food being returned and put lighter fluid on the burger to cook it well or it was placed on a freshly started grill which had not burnt off the starting fluid
My wife and I had a terrible experience at Weber Grill. Our waiter never asked if we wanted refills, would not take away the dirty plates and talked non-stop. We waited over thirty minutes for our food only to find out that what I had ordered was sold out and I had to pick something else. For the prices, it was a disappointing experience all around.
After having walked into two other local restaurants and met with a 45 minute wait, we decided to try Weber Grill. It was awesome!! We got in right away and decided to sit in the bar. Excellent service with Mohammad and the food was fabulous! We decided we needed to go to Weber Grill more often.
In my opinion the Weber Grill isn’t what it used to be. I have there three times in the last three months after not having been there in a few years. We gave it one last try and find we believe the food preparation has changed and the food quality not what it once was. Ironically one of the patrons behind us complained to managers about a very poor New York strip he had ordered. Not a bad experience but not what we expect from The Weber Grill. If your looking for a four or five star meal, this is not the place. The name and former glory will keep it around a while yet, however, it may be a dead man walking.
All and all not a bad place. The smell of wood smoke makes you think back fondly of camping in the woods. Food was good, mostly ala carte so if you want a soup or salad you have to order that separately. Being a crab cake junkie I will tell you that grilling the crab cake doesn't really work. The grilled flavor, while good, overpowers the crab cake and the crab flavor that is essential to a really superb crab cake is lost. The rest of the sea food was done well. I would go again.
We went here for my parents' 30th anniversary. I called to tell them that we would like to request a booth and let them know that it was a special occasion. The online notes would not allow me to submit so I decided to call the restaurant. When we arrived, they seemed as if they had no idea I called regarding the booth request and about it being a special occasion. I was disappointed by the staff, but the food was really great.
The food was very good. That is the positive part. After we got our initial soups and salads...etc, we didn't get our main courses for another hour. We saw other customers arrive, eat, and leave while we waited. We told our waitress and two managers, before we finally got our food. They checked our arrival time and concurred there was an issue. They stated it was the waitresses long delay before she finally turned in our order.
They did knock off half the cost of our bill, and gave us a gift certificate.
We went to Weber Grill to celebrate my birthday and made a last minute reservation. Our table was ready upon arrival and we were promptly greeted by a myriad of servers (they were training). Service was definitely on target and while the main courses came out a little bit slow it was worth the wait. I would definitely recommend the French Onion soup, the ribs and the rib-eye was tasty and cooked to perfection.
Servers were awesome, food not so much. Regardless of the requested meat preparation, well done- medium well-rare, ALL meat was seared on the outside and very rare on the inside, including the well done burger ordered!!!!!
Roasted beets were very slimy and not very flavorful, fries were cold and crunchy, burger bun a bit on the stale side & food was slow to arrive.
Overall, NOT a good food experience, but servers VERY nice and attentive.
Pleasant atmosphere, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic. Had reservations for 6pm and were seated right away. It was surprisingly quiet were you could hear each other across the table even though it was some what busy. In the waiting area you watch the chefs use large weber kettles or enjoy a drink at the bar.
Abbe did a nice job of serving us; she responded quickly when there was a minor problem.
I wish the franchise had fresh brewed iced tea instead of the product used. Plain, unsweetened iced tea and if that's how what is there is made now, change the tea blend ... there's something in that tea which gives me a migraine.
We have been here several times I hate em when a restaurant changes the food We usually have a few burgers and filet
But we love the fries They used to have shoestring fries and they have changed them now to they non tasty fat fries.
Keep your regular food your a staple restaurant and i understand have specials and changing seasonal food but fries???
So for that reason it will be a while before I go back
