Weber Grill - Chicago Ratings and Reviews
We had 3 different servers, none of whom brought us silverware until after our food was on our table and I flagged someone down for it. We also never got a bread basket like other tables. My prime rib was hard and tough to chew. Not a great experience, we won't be back.
A fellow service member and I saw that Weber Grill had a Veterans Day offer for military members and decided to try the establishment for the first time. However, when we asked our server about it, she didn't know anything about it. She did go check with her manager and returned to say that they did have the offer; however, when she returned a third time, she said it was only valid for one of us even though the published offer stated it was good for every veteran's meal over $50, not per table, nor per check. As a service member, I don't go looking to exploit these kinds of offers, nor do I expect anything in return for my choice to serve. However, if an establishment is going to offer something, then I would expect that it would honor the deal once the offer is accepted. Since there are many fine steak houses in Chicago, I'll probably choose a different one next time around. It's all about integrity, and Weber Grill missed the mark. The food was very well prepared, and tasted great.
Rather disappointed with this visit. We went early in the entering, the restaurant was not busy and the service was slow. The main course arrived, however we had not finished eating or appetizers yet. Too bad because I like this place, however this time we really felt rushed.
Visited with friends. One friend and I both ordered ribeyes. Her steak was properly medium rare, my steak was more like well. I was starving and it took a while to get our meals so I just ate it. Disappointing to spend that much money and not get what you want. The service was excellent. Also very much enjoyed their seasonal sangria. The apple flavor was a fun fall drink. All and all an okay experience but definitely not the steak I had hoped for.
First time, and will definitely return the next time we're in Chicago. The most flavorful, and perfectly seasoned filet I've ever had. It was accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes, also very flavorful. The house salad with white balsamic dressing was a great starter. And our server also brought us pretzel rolls with a regular butter and cheddar butter. Looked like wonderful dessert options, but we were full from dinner!
We went for my sister's birthday, and ended up staying for 2 hours because the drinks, food, and service were all so fantastic that we just lost track of time! We talked about how great the ambiance of the restaurant was; the music and lighting were both at perfect levels so as to not distract from the food and conversations. Our service was fantastic (especially for letting us stay for so long!) and we would LOVE to come back for future special occasions.
Was seated seated quickly, only to wait about 10 minutes for the water to be brought to the table. This is always an annoyance of mine. - sorry.
The 12 oz. prime rib was very good , nice and tender.
She had the Salmon. She likes it over done and they made it just like she ordered it. - Perfect.
Dessert was good and the bill was not bad for a quick bite on a Saturday nite with the lovely wife.
Service was really just OK. It was a birthday dinner. I made two mentions of it and the waitress didn't even wish us happy birthday. Had to ask multiple times for items. The steak, although good, was over cooked. Found out the waitress rung in the wrong temp. But yes the food was very good
