Our Old Town fish restaurant has one of the shortest ingredient journeys in Britain! About a minute across the beach from the boats! We're so pleased to be able to offer you the experience of eating a range of carefully prepared fresh fish dishes from the Hastings & Rye fleets at source. Webbes Rock a Nore is an enviable location opposite the net huts and boats of the historic and picturesque Hastings fishing quarter of The Stade. fish and seafood caught and daily in small boats, a journey of a minute across the shingle to the kitchen on arrival,
Other sample dishes include seafood platters, locally smoked fish, Potted Crab, Grilled Dover Sole with Samphire & Winkle Sauce, classic dishes like Cod in Beer Batter with Hand Cut Chips, Gratinated Native Lobster. Not forgetting prime cut steaks.

All Ok, food was very good rather than exceptional. We were asked twice whether the steak should be rare, it was medium rare, rare means rare. Black bream was lovely. Service was friendly and came across as a little inexperienced but in an endearing way. Started clearing chairs away whilst we were still eating, it was not late, 9 ish. We would go again.

This is one of our favourite restaurants, in the area. They cater for all dietary requirements too amazing service, and food. The fact staff recognises us is a bonus

Sadly we didn't have a good experience. We were seated by the door so it was draughty and disruptive with people in and out and waiting to be seated,. We ordered olives, taramasalata and bread sticks and then a main course and we had only just received the olives etc when a young waiter plonked down our main courses leaving us with little option but to abandon the other food and eat that. Nobody came to ask if we enjoyed our main course either. So we paid the bill and left.

Absolutely superb. Really enjoyed our lunch here- the food is just outstandingly yummy! Gluten free, dairy free options not a problem. Front of house staff absolutely wonderful- nothing is too much trouble. Can not wait to go back!!

I love this restaurant it is the relaxed atmosphere and great service.the staff are professional and friendly and make sure you have a great experience. I will let my friends know about this little gem. Looking forward to my next visit.

Service was 1st class the staff were very busy but nothing was too much trouble, excellent. Starters wre plentiful and tasty, for main course my partner had the Dover Sole and said it was "SUPERB" I had the bread crumbed plaice with beetroot poached egg and crispy prosciutto it was perfectly ok but a slightly weird mix of flavors and textures. The venue is a little tired with basic furniture sadly a little Hastingsish with toilet facilities to match. An enjoyable evening.
