I’m surprised we got a reservation on Friday March 9th for a party of 10 at 7pm.
They were closed. A little disappointed at how that was missed on opentable or our end. Guess I need to check to be sure a restaurant open before I book next time on open table.
So sorry they're closing...have always celebrated special occasions there. Really good pizza and ambiance.
We’re going to miss this great pizza joint. Heard
The Waz is a Denver gem and they shouldn’t change a thing about it. You can’t go wrong with anything in their menu from the nice big side salads to the delicious, unique Brussel Sprouts to the hamburgers and one of a kind pizza, We have been going for 37 years!! Please don’t close!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Wazee Supper Club. Has always been our family favorite for great bar pizza and a terrific atmosphere! So sad that it will be closing soon. This is a downtown gem that can’t be replaced.
I was so excited to take my kids there before we went to see the Nutcraker and we were very very disappointed. I have always loved the food at Wazee Supper Club and have been going there for years. I read that they are closing and wanted my kids to experience it at least once. I'm bummed that my last visit was pretty bad. The service was AWESOME, but the food definitely lacked. Our appetizer had to be sent back twice because the inside was frozen. Our main courses were all lukewarm at best. At the point we received dinner, we had to eat the subpar meals because we had to get moving. It was a real disappointment.
What a shame that a Denver icon like the Wazee Supper Club is closing, especially to make way for yet another "upscale" overpriced restaurant. For decades, the Wazee has offered delicious, high-quality pizza at a great price, and in a comfortable, casual setting. The other night we took advantage of the "buy one, get one" pizza deal. Needless to say, we each got one to go.
Located just beyond the commercialized 16th Street Mall, the food, ambience, and service provide a reprieve from the chain restaurants that make Denver an impersonal clone of so many downtown areas. The Wazee is an original, a maverick; taking you to what used to be the "seamy" side of Denver. Back in the day, you threaded your way under the viaduct and stopped in for dinner and a drink before dancing the night away at Rock Island.
The Wazee will be missed!
very long delay in getting two of our meals out which were a salad and chicken parm. pizza was great as always.
Sad they are closing but the last pizza at Wazee wasn't what I remember it being. Disappointed with our last visit.
THE PIZZA WAS GREAT!
Birthday shots were generous, gin and tonic's good, margarita's not so good. Waitress was fun (and patient with us). No one in our group had ever been to The Wazee Supper Club before - we'll definitely come back!!!
Thank you for adding to a great celebration!
Always great atmosphere and the best pizza in Denver.
We had a group of 9. Ate 3 pizzas, all were devoured. Kids split a burger and loved it. The fries were great. Good happy hour deals. Great service.
Great food. Potato chip nachos were awesome! Pizza was great. Only complaint is tight booth space for 6 people. Great place to go before a Rockies game or event downtown. Good beer on tap and people watching by the window. Definitely recommend this place!
Waitress was great! Good ambiance and seating area for a table for 7. Only complaint was burnt pizza crust. ;(
The service was excellent and the food was so delicious. I will be back, definitely.
The food is always good here, but the service is very, very slow. It took a long time to get the food, one order was wrong and it took forever for the server to come back and get payment. It always takes longer than a lunch hour to have a meal here.
First time at Wazee! We loved it. Our server was great and the food was delicious! We will be making a trip back!
Another great meal and experience at Wazee Supper Club. The beer selection is always terrific and the food is always tasty - why don't I come here more often?!?!?
Wazee Supper Club was a great experience. I went with a large group of women and had great service and they were quite understanding when we called to let them know we were running late. They had our table ready and menus for each spot. Our waitress was attentive and understanding with our quirky pay requests and did everything with a smile. The food was amazing and the drinks were unique and tasty. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.
Servers were great, quick & efficient. We had a 7:30 meeting and they did a great job of getting the 7 of us out the door in time. Love the 1.5 glasses of wine!!!
Food was poor. Caesar salad had no croutons or parm. Oldest diner in our group was served cold pasta and we were all done by the time she got her replacement. They comped the food but we won't. E back!
Our waitress was outstanding. Food was good and the price was reasonable. Would definitely go back and would tell a friend about it.
Came here for my son's 8th birthday, he wanted pizza. The wait staff was friendly and the food was very good! I liked being able to people watch from the giant booths next to the window. Parking was easy and my son had a great time! The happy hour was not great, as I felt the appetizers and beer were overpriced, not much of deal. Wished they would have a broader beer selection, but all in all it was good.
What a classic! It hasn't been around for years for nothing. Best burger my sons and I have had in a long time. My girls ate more pizza than they usually do. Our waitress was genuine and attentive. Will definitely go back the next time We are in Denver.
Place was very loud on a Wednesday tried to have dinner with friends and could not hear ourselves talk. Very over priced for a pizza/bar will not be going back
Went at noon for Mothers Day brunch, from menu selections. They advertised a french toast Mother's Day special, but it was unknown when we got there. I had the veggie frittata, rate that 1-star. It was not from fresh eggs, but bottled egg product, was extremely rubbery and tasteless. I ordered with feta cheese but no cheese there. Ate less than half of it. The hash browns were lukewarm, not crispy. Others had a pear/salmon salad, Wazee burger and breakfast pizza which were "ok to good." The bruschetta was 5-star outstanding, as was the pita with garlic dip. Service was good. The restaurant was quiet and comfortable at that time, and we had a nice bright window booth. Of course we will return, but for pizza or lunch, not brunch.
Wazee Supper Club is a great place for lunch so I selected it for my Book Club meeting. The service was awesome and food was great. Our waitress warned us about an event that would be taking place later that evening and let us know it would get noisy. We didn't mind and in fact, when we finished our meeting, the event was just getting started. We love having the upstairs to ourselves so we didn't disturb other people. Will definitely go there again!
Staff was very nice and everyone said hello service was great and so was the food!
We had a party of 12 but because they only have one pizza oven, they did not tell us it would take over an hour for our food. Direct quote from server "I don't make the pizzas so don't bet mad at me."
The pizza is great, the beer selection is good, and we love the vibe. The server was working their tail off but I think had her over assigned.
Food took forever to come out. Server said kitchen was really backed up. (So they not plan for a busy crowd on a busy day?) I ordered the Z Salad and it came out without most of what was advertised on the menu. I sent it back to the kitchen and it came back much better but way too much lettuce. Service was adequate. Probably won't bring a group back because you can't even hear anyone talk to them. And I definitely won't order salad again.
Service was incredibly slow, took her 30 minutes for us to get to order our food. And there was barely anyone in there! Food all sounded good on the menu but the amazeballs tasted like nothing even though it says they have bacon and jalapeños in them. Also the tuna melt is NOT a tuna melt, it's just a tuna salad sandwich. So disappointing - it tasted alright but when you order something called a tuna melt you expect an actual tuna melt, not a cold sandwich. I'm not sure where all the positive reviews cone from...
We made reservations the day before our planned dinner. On the day of our planned dinner someone from the Wazee Supper Club called to confirm our reservation. When we got there on Saturday night there was no reservation in our name or for our party size. Fortunately they did have a table for us and we had a good dinner.
Great food. Our table had the fried Mac n cheese, chicken fried chicken, and the 50 50 burger. All amazing... Service was always quick and super friendly. Atmosphere is the least compelling attribute, but we all really enjoyed this place!
Great place to visit before or after a game/event at Pepsi Center. Multiple Menu options to choose from that everyone would enjoy!
I had a special event dinner there with 3 other persons and we really enjoyed it. The food and service were wonderful and the server recommended a good wine. You better get a reservation if you want to eat here! 4 stars!
I've been a fan for years. I like that we can take the family there and have a great meal with a couple of drinks and it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg! Great food for a great price! It was very busy on Friday night and people were waiting for over an hour to get in. Thankfully we made reservations so we got right in.
Still talking about the Peanut Butter, Bacon, Pickle and Bravery pizza. It was a fun way to celebrate a birthday in a casual setting that was full of charm and energy
We had a great time. The service was fantastic and the food was fabulous. The only negative I would say would be the last two times we have been there as a group we have been seated upstairs which is somewhat dark and away from the atmosphere.
Always love coming here. You know you will get good service and great pizza and calzones!
