Wazee Supper Club Ratings and Reviews
The Waz is a Denver gem and they shouldn’t change a thing about it. You can’t go wrong with anything in their menu from the nice big side salads to the delicious, unique Brussel Sprouts to the hamburgers and one of a kind pizza, We have been going for 37 years!! Please don’t close!!!!
I was so excited to take my kids there before we went to see the Nutcraker and we were very very disappointed. I have always loved the food at Wazee Supper Club and have been going there for years. I read that they are closing and wanted my kids to experience it at least once. I'm bummed that my last visit was pretty bad. The service was AWESOME, but the food definitely lacked. Our appetizer had to be sent back twice because the inside was frozen. Our main courses were all lukewarm at best. At the point we received dinner, we had to eat the subpar meals because we had to get moving. It was a real disappointment.
What a shame that a Denver icon like the Wazee Supper Club is closing, especially to make way for yet another "upscale" overpriced restaurant. For decades, the Wazee has offered delicious, high-quality pizza at a great price, and in a comfortable, casual setting. The other night we took advantage of the "buy one, get one" pizza deal. Needless to say, we each got one to go.
Located just beyond the commercialized 16th Street Mall, the food, ambience, and service provide a reprieve from the chain restaurants that make Denver an impersonal clone of so many downtown areas. The Wazee is an original, a maverick; taking you to what used to be the "seamy" side of Denver. Back in the day, you threaded your way under the viaduct and stopped in for dinner and a drink before dancing the night away at Rock Island.
The Wazee will be missed!
THE PIZZA WAS GREAT!
Birthday shots were generous, gin and tonic's good, margarita's not so good. Waitress was fun (and patient with us). No one in our group had ever been to The Wazee Supper Club before - we'll definitely come back!!!
Thank you for adding to a great celebration!
Wazee Supper Club was a great experience. I went with a large group of women and had great service and they were quite understanding when we called to let them know we were running late. They had our table ready and menus for each spot. Our waitress was attentive and understanding with our quirky pay requests and did everything with a smile. The food was amazing and the drinks were unique and tasty. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.
Came here for my son's 8th birthday, he wanted pizza. The wait staff was friendly and the food was very good! I liked being able to people watch from the giant booths next to the window. Parking was easy and my son had a great time! The happy hour was not great, as I felt the appetizers and beer were overpriced, not much of deal. Wished they would have a broader beer selection, but all in all it was good.
Went at noon for Mothers Day brunch, from menu selections. They advertised a french toast Mother's Day special, but it was unknown when we got there. I had the veggie frittata, rate that 1-star. It was not from fresh eggs, but bottled egg product, was extremely rubbery and tasteless. I ordered with feta cheese but no cheese there. Ate less than half of it. The hash browns were lukewarm, not crispy. Others had a pear/salmon salad, Wazee burger and breakfast pizza which were "ok to good." The bruschetta was 5-star outstanding, as was the pita with garlic dip. Service was good. The restaurant was quiet and comfortable at that time, and we had a nice bright window booth. Of course we will return, but for pizza or lunch, not brunch.
Wazee Supper Club is a great place for lunch so I selected it for my Book Club meeting. The service was awesome and food was great. Our waitress warned us about an event that would be taking place later that evening and let us know it would get noisy. We didn't mind and in fact, when we finished our meeting, the event was just getting started. We love having the upstairs to ourselves so we didn't disturb other people. Will definitely go there again!
Food took forever to come out. Server said kitchen was really backed up. (So they not plan for a busy crowd on a busy day?) I ordered the Z Salad and it came out without most of what was advertised on the menu. I sent it back to the kitchen and it came back much better but way too much lettuce. Service was adequate. Probably won't bring a group back because you can't even hear anyone talk to them. And I definitely won't order salad again.
Service was incredibly slow, took her 30 minutes for us to get to order our food. And there was barely anyone in there! Food all sounded good on the menu but the amazeballs tasted like nothing even though it says they have bacon and jalapeños in them. Also the tuna melt is NOT a tuna melt, it's just a tuna salad sandwich. So disappointing - it tasted alright but when you order something called a tuna melt you expect an actual tuna melt, not a cold sandwich. I'm not sure where all the positive reviews cone from...
We made reservations the day before our planned dinner. On the day of our planned dinner someone from the Wazee Supper Club called to confirm our reservation. When we got there on Saturday night there was no reservation in our name or for our party size. Fortunately they did have a table for us and we had a good dinner.
I've been a fan for years. I like that we can take the family there and have a great meal with a couple of drinks and it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg! Great food for a great price! It was very busy on Friday night and people were waiting for over an hour to get in. Thankfully we made reservations so we got right in.
We booked a group of 10 before a Avalanche-Bruins game AND the CHICAGO Broadway show that was in town. It was busy, but they were on their game and handled everything well. Appreciate the ease of making this reservation and the seamless transition from OpenTable to the Wazee Supper Club. Will certainly go again!
