On my trip down to Williamsburg to collect my college student, I took my son and two of his friends to Waypoint for dinner. This was my second visit, having had a delicious lunch there during our Easter visit. Our waitress, Maria, was friendly, helpful and attentive. The jalapeño calamari appetizer was a big hit and I enjoyed the special soup - a tomato tortilla soup with crab. My special fish dinner with risotto was very tasty and the boys enjoyed their entrees - rib eye steak, crab cakes and the special veal short ribs. Overall a delicious dinner in very pleasant surroundings! We will be back!
Guest from Atlanta wanted to treat us to a favorite place in Williamsburg so we chose you. She thoroughly enjoyed her scallops and homemade coconut ice cream for dessert.
Conveniently located to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Fresh and tasty ingredients. Not overpowered by sauces, so I could enjoy the fresh clean flavors of roasted beet. Pear, and goatcheese salad. Delicious local lump crab cakes with mostly crab. Superb and friendly service. Simple, but nice decor. Great place to enjoy my birthday after a day at Colonial Williamsburg. I strongly recommend.
It was a great time and place to spend an leisurely afternoon. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is moderately priced and delicious. It has a varied menu of fish and meats. While not extensive, the menu is varied and attractive.
Military family celebrating a weekend together. A very high quality dinner. Will come back often.
The food was wonderful and the wine selection outstanding. Had a great Pino Noir.
Great like always.
I loved having Schnitzel and Spaetzel as an option on the seafood menu. Waiter offered two different sauces. I had the Schnitzel with Jaeger Sauce, a brown sauce with wild mushrooms. Nice wine selections are available by the glass. Charles Krug Merlot went very well with the Jaeger Schnitzel! My husband was very happy with the Lamb Shank and French Pinot Noir he ordered
While visiting Williamsburg we searched OpenTable for local restaurants. The waypoint reviews were outstanding so we gave it a try. Everything about our experience was amazing. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. The crab cakes were some of the best I've ever had
Great food. Outstanding service.
Second time at Waypoint. An altogether great experience
We came for our anniversary and they did an amazing job making us feel special and welcome. Our food came out quickly and our waitress was great. She made sure to refill our drinks and noticed every detail. We felt like everyone from the hostess to the chef did everything possible to make the dining experience pleasurable. The appetizers were outstanding. The main entrees were very good and desserts were delicious. We were happy with our dining experience and they were welcoming of our little one who slept through the meal.
Service excellent. Food excellent. Only complaint would be the menu needs a little more variety
Very comfortable and pleasing dining room. Server was very friendly and helpful. Both dishes we well prepared and delicious. Relaxing atmosphere and very good food.
Great food, wine and service. Great. Cannot wait to go back.
Hubby’s food came out cold. When we sent it back (we NEVER send food back, it was that bad) the same food came back out with his bite mark in it. I assume they put it in the microwave. It was inedible and while our server and the manager were apologetic and explained the chef was out of town we did not appreciate paying over $100 when one of us didn’t eat.
I'm never disappointed in your restaurant. I had swordfish. It was amazing.
Waypoint is one of the finest restaurants! Don't miss it if you visit Williamsburg VA.
Great food especially oyster BLT appetizer- service exceptional- just a good place to eat
Very disappointing as was the prior visit.
Several of us got together for lunch at Waypoint. The menu, while limited, had enough choices that could satisfy all of us. Several ordered the Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad. It was not what we expected. The bacon was a small dice of bacon lardons, the halved hard boiled egg was not cooked through which is incomprehensible for a restaurant of this caliber. The chicken was the best part of the salad. There was no bread served and we were not asked if we wanted any bread. The omelet that was ordered seemed to be fine. A little disappointing.
The fish was excellent. The service was timely, friendly and most of all accurate, which unfortunately is now hard to find. Great experience!
Loved the food. What a great find. The shrimp and grits were to die for. Also shared a creme brulee. Highly recommended.
We were in Williamsburg celebrating my girlfriends birthday week. This was a delightful find. The dishes were fantastic and the appetizers were outstanding! Very wonderful experience!
The calamari is the best thing about this place and makes it worth going. The dining room was super cold so it made enjoying our time there a bit difficult. Our main course was good but not great. Recommending Waypoint solely for the calamari.
We eat here frequently and it is always a delight.
Eric was exceptional. Top tier !!!
This was a wonderful meal. We had a secluded booth so it was quiet and private. The party across from us had their server checking in on them so often it was almost annoying. But the food was great, our server was attentive but not annoying. The atmosphere was peaceful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who needed a place for a business lunch to impress, a nice get away from the office to meet friends or spouse on a special occasion. Prices are moderately expensive but for the quality of the food you get it was well worth it.
Oysters were the best in Williamsburg. Mushroom bisque was outstanding
Although I usually give Waypoint Five Stars.... This was not the best experience. The salmon entree was delicious. The burger ordered at the table was well done when asked for medium rare. It took us over 45 minutes to get our food. Always room for improvement even when you are one of the best.
Food is reliably tasty !
Service always excellent.
Would love to see rice pudding on the somewhat limited dessert menu.
Always a hit! Best dining in Williamsburg for any occasion!
Superb welcome and service..delicious well presented entree.
This was the highlight of our trip to Williamsburg. The food was delicious and the atmosphere comfortable and classy. We had the drum fish and rockfish both of which were wonderful. Would go back again in a heartbeat.
Waypoint’s relaxed atmosphere offers the opportunity to enjoy good food and conversation.
Always special at Waypoint. Excellent service and is a fun place to eat. The food is wonderful!
The Faroe Island Salmon was worth a special trip and our waitress Jody was excellent.
What a great meal! My wife and I totally enjoyed our dinner here and will most definitely be back. We have also already recommended it to friends that arrived in Williamsburg after we had dined there. We started with a fantastic bisque(!!)and then shared 6 oysters made the Waypoint Way(!!) For our main my wife had a fantastic seafood medley while I tried and loved the evenings veal special. The restaurant was crowded but not loud and the ambience was very nice. We also felt the the price was right for the quality and overall experience of the evening.
We have traveled to Colonial Williamsburg on several occasions and as a result have eaten at several restaurants in the area. This is now our favorite restaurant by far!
Dry good as usual. Brought a visitor from Cape Cod; she really enjoyed it.
Good job everyone!
