Beautiful decor and very friendly service, great wine selection and meal presentation

Waypoint is a little over an hour from our town, but the drive is pleasant and the anticipation of eating dinner there is exciting. Having eaten there several times has allowed us to enjoy several dishes and this experience was just as terrific. The food and the service was outstanding! The oysters Waypoint way were delicious as was the lobster special. Our waitress, Sarah, was alternative and friendly. The owner/chef visited our table with pleasant conversation. Overall...Excellent!

Practices safe distancing and staff wears shields and masks. Food and service are outstanding. Prices are reasonable and in-line with a restaurant of this quality.

Any shellfish or fish entree is superb. Sauces are excellent. The ham spread and pickles is such a nice Southern touch for putting on cornbread muffins or bread.
My husband had the veal chops and found them delicious too. They were tender, which can be a challenge sometimes for the chef.
The staff is courteous and yet friendly, lovely restaurant. One of the best in Williamsburg.

Caesar salad dressing too sour (too much vinegar) and grits fried as small marbles were dry,dry and dry. Waitress/Server was excellent. Shrimp and oysters were tasty but to few for the money.

This is one of the few places where the expense (higher end) and the value are the same. Everything we had was top notch from taste to presentation to service. Wr went there for our anniversary and the dessert plate was written neatly around the desert dish in chocolate happy anniversary. We would definitely go back.

Pricey but food was good and service was excellent. Our waitress was very accommodating.

Was outstanding and our server was very attentive but not overbearing. My only disappointment, I had indicated my friend and I were celebrating a birthday. She was celebrating her 84th and our waiter had no idea until I told him at the end of our meal.

Every thing was great, especially for Tuesday night dinner.

Lovely staff that is very helpful - willing to 1/2 a meal (crab cakes, for example). Crab cakes are excellent as is the Shellfish and Grits. Novelty menu is lighted, which makes it very easy to read!!

Super restaurant! It was our first time at this restaurant and it will not be our last. The ambiance is lovely, the noise level was not bad. We did have a larger party sitting next to us who were a bit loud but not over the top. I had crabcakes and they were delicious. My husband had shellfish and grits. He liked the scallops, shrimp, and grits but could not eat the lobster as it was quite chewy. Our server was so observant and noted he did not finish the lobster. She said she would tell the chef and a deduction was taken from our bill. It is a bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

Waitress, Terry, was very attentive. She explained all specials. Restaurant week menu was filled with great choices. We had Salmon, Weiner snitzshel, flounder all were tasty. Portions were not small and not overwhelming.

Service and food were AMAZING. The server was very polite and extremely knowledgeable of all of the items on menu. Speaking of the menu, the back lit menu is a very unique and well thought out feature. Food was well prepared and delicious! We will definitely be coming back soon!

Delicious food! Loved, loved wiener schneitzel with spetzle and red cabbage. Our server was efficient, helpful, and made the evening very comfortable. We will be back!

Everything was top notch. We were in tow for the Winter Blues and Jazz Fest and went to Waypoint before opening night. I am on the keto diet and they were very accommodating. The chef changed the sides to fit my died with no problem. Will be eating there again whenever I an in Williamsburg.

Worth a splurge! Lovely, understated dining room (in a strip mall). Server seemed a tad inexperienced (we had to ask for the cocktail and wine list, and he was a little sloppy) but very nice and helpful. I love a good craft cocktail and this one delivered (I think it was called All Night something?). The appetizers--lobster spring roll and their signature crab soup--were exquisite, and the entrees didn't disappoint either--Wiener schnitzel (the chef's specialty) and osso bucco. The wine list is varied and there's a fair selection of wines by the glass. We didn't manage to save room for dessert, but we'll definitely be back.

I've lived in Williamsburg for years and this was the first time to Waypoint. Why did we wait so long? It was the best meal experience we've had since we moved here. Great food, great service and nice ambiance. Christin was terrific. I was celebrating my birthday. A great dining experience. We will be back soon.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at beautiful Waypoint. The food was delicious--we had fish and chips, burger and chicken pot pie. The service was perfect--our server was attentive but not overbearing.

We were greeted warmly by the hostess and immediately guided to a well-placed table near the fireplace. The waitress arrived in very short order, offered a review of house specialty items and explained the entrées we were interested in in more detail. The restaurant was new to three of the four in attendance and all agreed, that it was a wonderful culinary experience and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

We live away from the area, so this was a special trip. Waypoint Way oysters are superb and crab cakes delicious, waiter excellent.

Great upscale service and food at a reasonable price

We were out for a special dinner on vacation. WOW! We wish we could bring Waypoint home with us! Everything about the experience was wonderful, but the food itself was simply exquisite. If you are in the area, don’t miss this one! It wasn’t even crowded, and that worries us, because we want it to be there the next time we visit the area.

We always agree a great place to dine in Williamsburg. Waypoint Oysters can't be beat. We had the lobster spring rolls for the first time and thought they were exceptional. Christin, our server could not have been more professional. Looking forward to many more meals at the Waypoint Grill.
