Restaurant not organized and overcharged me. Restaurant says Its BYOB and can make sangria if we bring wine. Ended up charging me for sangria because they didn't realize I brought my own wine for the sangria

appetizer tiny portion and overpriced, bitter taste in crab soup, fluke topping way to spicy and strong for such a delicate flavored fish. We are frequent dinners and long--time shore seafood restaurant patrons. We have a life time of comparisons. they can (and must do much better in order to stay in business.

Food was great! Service excellent. BYO which is nice, in fact a local liquor store delivers right to your table. Biggest complaint - the air conditioning was broken and dining room was very uncomfortable. I would have expected the manager to come by and at least apologize but nothing.

We were extremely disappointed. Their website says "classy elegant" and it was anything but. We went for dinner early Saturday night and the A/C was barely working, so it was very warm. The hostess seated us and right away we noticed a very tacky stand with a mic where it looked like someone was performing. Right away I asked to be moved to the other end of the restaurant as we did not want to be near loud music. The host assured us this would be background music and very soft. It was NOT background music. I feel very bad as the performer seemed like a very nice guy and meant well, however he played very loud and then started going up to the tables and egging people on to sing. This was HORRIBLE. I felt like I was at a tacky bar on karoke night. Even our waitress was mortified. The cilantro rice had no cilantro and was soft and without flavor. They served steamed broccoli topped with spicy Velveeta like cheese. HORRIBLE. This was for a birthday dinner for my 80+ mother in law and we didn't stay for coffee because we all could not wait to get out of there. What a waste.

We enjoyed a selection of fish dishes - fluke, salmon and swordfish - as well as the pork chop. All were cooked perfectly. The calamari app was excellent - and a surprising sweet chili sauce which is a nice change from the traditional fried with tomato sauce for dipping. A good value as BYOB and the meals including soup or salad. Wait staff were friendly. Definitely worth another visit.

The restaurant was not crowded but the staff was very unhelpful and curt. The food was ok but would not return to this restaurant. There are so many better choices to dine in the Asbury area.

4 of us (2 couples) had the worst dining experience. We called in advance and they said they would make sangria from the wine we brought. They didn't. The menu on line is their old menu so many items not available. Soup was brought to the table and we were told if it was cold they would MICROWAVE it. My filet mignonette was good but I was too upset to enjoy it. My coffee had unknown elements floating in it and I had to ask for a different cup. Even our waiter, Urie, who only works there once a week couldn't believe what was going on. The 4 of us thought about leaving with such a poor beginning but we stayed hoping it would get better. Bad decision on our part. Very disappointing costly experience .

The lighting was extremely bright in the restaurant, I would compare it to shopping at Costco which does not bode well for good ambiance. They did dim the lights at 9:00, but this was the time we were leaving the restaurant! The food had no flavor to it, and the steak was tough and chewy. The value was poor. I would not recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I went to Waves for a test and were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good (we ate mostly seafood) and the BYOW policy controlled costs. The space was wide open and about 2/3 full on a Friday, mostly with small groups. We will return.

Went to Waves on Main with a $15 off coupon that they sent in a Value Pak. Coupon was good on Wed (the day we went) and til June 30 (we went Apr 27). We sat down, they brought bread to the table, I showed the coupon to make sure it was valid, and they refused to honor it "that week" since it was Restaurant Week. The coupon had no restriction listed on it re not valid Restaurant Week, so how would a customer know that? Finally, after alot of nickel-and-diming us, the manager said he would make an exception JUST THIS ONCE! (as if we were doing something wrong) but we would have to order from the Restaurant Week menu, not the one on the back of the coupon (which is what brought us to this restaurant. The Restaurant Week menu was very pricy and 3-4 courses (much more than we wanted to spend and eat!). So they opted to let us walk out rather than honor the coupon and regular menu. Very bad treatment...especially in view of the fact that we were the only two people in the restaurant.
