Wave Bistro Ratings and Reviews
I continued to be amazed at just how good this restaurant is. My wife and I discovered it a few years ago, and we have a great time bringing friends who have never been here before. Upon leaving everyone is wondering why they hadn't heard about it before. The food is consistently terrific. It is a nice comfortable room and the service is spot on. It runs maybe 10% to 15% than a place with similar cuisine, but there is no one in town who does it better. You can't go wrong.
Excellent as Usual. Yes we would go back. LONGER VERSION: We used to live in Omaha, and came back to visit friends and all decided to go to Wave. This is a nice family owned/managed place in West Omaha that is often overlooked. Great service, and simple atmosphere. Think of an Asian/Creole/French influenced cuisine that is a couple of levels above the standard. Started with calamari and egg rolls. Excellent. Entrees included cashew crusted salmon, seafood "dynamite", beef and vegetables, and the sea bass. Nothing left on the plates and we are not big people. Yummy! George and Connie have a great neighborhood gem of a place. Wave has always satisfied.
Went there for a date night with my hubby based on Open Table reviews, and as we had not been there before. It did not disappoint. Promptly greeted and seated. Had wonton soup and salad as our appetizers. The soup was delicious. Big shrimp, lots of mushrooms, carrots, filled wontons in a light broth. The salad was nothing out of the ordinary. I had their seafood special in a black bean sauce. The basa was very light, shrimp plentiful and lots of scallops (although they were tiny) throughout. The sauce has just a hint of spice. My husband had the chicken in hunan sauce. Presentation was beautiful and very tasty. Everything was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back.
Found this restaurant on OpenTable and really enjoyed our visit. The specials were delicious, as were the appetizers and the desserts. Great Value, too; the two of us had drinks, ate appetizers, entrees, and shared a desert for less than $80. Highly recommend.
My husband and I loved our dinner at Wave Restaurant. My salmon was just delicious--cooked just right with a wonderful sauce on the side. My husband had the teriyaki chicken and it was delicious as well. Our waiter was friendly and offered suggestions when asked.
The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and welcoming.
It was a wonderful experience.
We will be back!
Wave Bistro is our 'birthday celebration go-to restaurant'. (Yes, we go there at other times, too.) They never fail to deliver. Food is exceptional. Presentation is beautiful and appealing. Desserts are unique and oh soooo delicious. There's something to be said when you know that the owner will be stopping by your table and your waiter has been there years. Speaks volumes on how they treat each other and how they view you as a customer. If you haven't been here, you are missing out!
This was my third visit to Wave. I have enjoyed the ambiance and the food each time. It is really nice to find a restaurant where you can visit with your friends, so many are so noisy, you have to shout to have a conversation. Everyone enjoyed their meals, cocktails and a wonderful evening was enjoyed by all.
Wave continues to be our very favorite restaurant in Omaha and there are so many to choose from but we continue to place Wave at the top of our dining list. The food never fails to please and we are always warmly welcomed by the owner. I would honestly dine here every week if it were possible!
Wave is always my favorite go to place for dining. A group of friends met after a lecture this time around and had a fabulous meal. It was so busy because of the lecture crowd but luckily, I had the reservation and our table was ready for us. The best creamy lemon almond shrimp ever and I always get it. It did not disappoint this time. I could dine here once a week if I could. It is THAT good!!
For Asian food with a flare, very well prepared and an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere
I highly recommend Wave Bistro. Quality of food is always dependable.
When I mentioned it was friend's birthday, they brought out a dessert on the house. Very
