What a fun place. We shared several small plates and dessert. Everything was delicious but especially the southern fried short ribs!!
Always reliable neighborhood spot
Great Valentine’s day dinner! Romantic and delicious with excellent cocktails.
Always have a great meal at Watty & Meg. A dependable quality restaurant that is unfussy but elegant at the same time. My favorite burger in the neighborhood too.
Really nice Brooklyn brunch scene that makes some great food and drinks.
Great meal after movie at theater a block away. Plenty for me, a vegetarian, and my husband a happy carnivore. Noise level was low and good for having easy conversation.
Delicious blt with fried egg. Really fun and friendly service.
I love this restaurant and have been going for many years. It’s a small thing but charging four dollars for soda water in a tiny glass irritates me enough to stop going there.
Always good meal but as a regular wish they would add new items to menu
Great place. Not fancy, but nicer than every day dining and good date spot of friend get-together. The service is good, but sometimes it's also weird. The food is great!
Had a fab night . We are from the UK on our honeymoon, and found this great place whilst out walking. Service was exceptional, and we were given free dessert and coffee by our waiter, they didn't even know we were celebrating getting married. He was a great guy. We would highly recommend Watty and Megs the food was amazing. We'll probably go again before the end of of stay.
This is one of those places we enjoy it every time we go. We enjoy it with friends, we enjoy it with our kids, we enjoy it when we just hang out at the bar, and the service is always fantastic.
I have been to several events in their back area and they have been fantastic as well.
The music was too loud, causing each customer to raise their voices unnecessarily. We were three people and could barely hear one other at the table. The waitstaff was also clearly overwhelmed - We sat for over 30 minutes before our food order was taken (at which point they'd run out of one of the specials...) Each time plates of food were bused to us the lack of communication among staff was glaring. Our waiter was friendly enough, but made very apparent that he was in a constant hurry. He never stayed at our table for longer than was absolutely necessary and made us feel insignificant, rushing our questions and 'checking in' on us while en route to his next task.
The food was delicious and the drinks were refreshing.
The drinks were expensive and the grill was down - but we still enjoyed it! Good casual atmosphere, open air on a nice evening, neighborhoody vibe. Food was healthy and well prepared.
We always enjoy burger night at Watty & Meg's, but any night is fun & yummy.
Have been coming for years and is one of our go-to favorites. The food, service and atmosphere never disappoints.
Enjoyed our meal -- fun menu choices (fried short ribs) well prepared.
A favorite for several years now. The Huevos Rancheros are the best.
Very nice and good food!Easy to make a reservation Good selection.
Great food and service!
W&M was good, though not striking or memorable in any way. Good food, pleasant service, but I feel no particularly need to return.
A great place for Sunday brunch.
Brunch was great. The kale and quinoa salad is loaded with flavor and texture; the pancakes are rich and nutty. Good, classic burger and fries too. Drinks are solid and the staff is tolerant (of the many kids who turn up) and much more attentive than in years past. Place has really improved in the last year or so. Highly recommended as an elevated neighborhood go-to.
Quaint neighborhood restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. Nice cocktails and desserts
Watty & Meg not only was so accommodating for our friend's birthday, but was a delicious spot with great service. Definitely recommend!
The food was absolutely delicious. Outstanding mac and cheese and fried short ribs! We have to go back and try everything on the menu! Great drinks too! The servers were very nice and attentive.
Delicious. Monday night special deal if having burgers & beer. Veggie burger was very good - held together & lots of flavor.
We eat there frequently and like the staff a lot. We wish they would do a general update of the menu.
Loved it! Food was great, staff was very nice; and for a Friday night it was very very calm; now I came right before closing so that may be the reason but I love calm/non-packed places and in NY it feels impossible to find this type of place (great food and quiet)
Brunch was great. My friend and I ate there while on vacation in Brooklyn. The restaurant was super cute, we both ordered the pancakes. So good!
This corner place in Cobble Hill looks like a comfy bar but the food is well above what one would find in any bar. And the veggie options are as interesting as the meat options! Will definitely return.
We enjoyed our family lunch very much. The restaurant was cozy on a snowy day and the spiked hot drinks hit the spot. The music was nice, my food was delicious, and the service was attentive without ever making us feel rushed.
The food was just ok, but they seemed understaffed and everything was coming out in random order. They need to hire more people!!
The corn poblano chowder was perfect for a cold night.
The food was disappointing. The veggie burger was mushy and for $17 I'd expect it to come with more than lettuce, tomato, and onion and two lettuce leaves masquerading as a salad. There are many other places in the neighborhood that server a better veggie burger and with good toppings, all for less than$15.
Two couples meet at Watty and Meg for Sunday brunch. We arrived when it opened and it was fairly empty throughout our entire meal.
The menu had a lot of nice choices, quite a few vegetarian. We ordered avocado omelette, pancakes, and vegetarian huevos rancheros. Everyone enjoyed the meal.
My one gripe about the restaurant is that they charge additional for bread. So, if you are getting an omelette or any egg dish, and would like bread with your meal, they charge for it. Sort of chintzy, if you ask me, and I would think it is not too expensive to put a basket with a few slices of bread in it, on the table.
delicious food, lovely staff, fun decor. had brunch, fab cocktails
The food was excellent as was the ambiance and service. I would definitely go back.
