I've been vacationing in Myrtle Beach once or twice a year since 2010 and have tried many of the fine dining restaurants. This was probably the best meal I've had in MB. Every course exceeded expectations - from the freshly baked bread with herb & goat cheese infused olive oil, to the salad, entrees, and chef's variation of key lime pie. However, while the food deserves a 5 star rating, and our server was decent, the restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday night. It was a beautiful evening so my husband and I opted to dine outdoors. We were the only ones outside and rather than the hostess seating us at the table with the best view, she sat us at one of the two that had been set up. Additionally, while the food is excellent, the menu is extremely limited which is the primary reason I never chose to dine there before. Lastly, I would expect a restaurant with this caliber of food to offer a better wine selection.

Server was okay but unprofessional. Of four adult meals, one was unacceptable and two were unsatisfactory. Wine was good. A couple walked out just before our meals were served. Manager attempted to resolve our complaints.

My breakfast was served hot an exactly as I ordered...perfect eggs, hot, well toasted Buttered English muffin...crisp Applewood bacon...the only thing is that the home fries didn’t seem fresh and were soggy. Otherwise everything good. They made iced coffee. For us...and refilled it...I wish we could order lattes...the hotel serves Starbucks upstairs but not in the restaurant... service wonderful

We went to Waterscape for dinner The food was soooo delicious and the service was excellent. Stefani was polite, kind, and informative which made our experience much more enjoyable. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.

Very disappointed in a restaurant we had heard was supposed to be very good. Service was very slow even though we were one of only 3 tables in the whole restaurant and there were 3 servers. Food was good but not worth the price. Fried oyster appetizer special were very salty and over breaded. Risotto appetizer wine had not been cooked off. Corn pie with pork chop was too sweet and pork chop ordered medium was well done.

Our server, Sharon, was not very punctual in getting us water and assisting us. We are younger adults and I am not your typical looking female, which I feel had a lot of impact. I felt judged and I feel like I was shorted services because of my looks and that I was on a date with my girlfriend. The
Menu on google was also totally out of date and they didn’t offer anything on that menu stil.

It’s a hotel restaurant. They advertise it as a fine-dining establishment which it really isn’t. It’s a hotel restaurant with stained seats overlooking a pool.

I found the restaurant on a list of eateries “with a view.” There was no view except of the aforementioned pool and the completely trashed loudmouths a few tables over.

Now, that all said, the food was excellent. But with a relatively complete lack of ambience and absolutely no recognition of it being our anniversary as was designated on the reservation, I’d not go back. There are tons of places to get great food (less expensively, I might add) in the area.

All was wonderful for my birthday including complimentary delicious desert. Filet meal melted in mouth. Cocktails were good size which helped offset price. Husband’s rib eye was a bit grissly. Will go back when coupon is available again.

Our server/bartender Stefani was superb.

Everyone knows that dining is a complex event.

Certainly the food is essential and all of our food was very good (shrimp cocktail, burrata and tomato) unique (duck confit taco) and classically excellent ( pork chop - best I ever had, and filet). The vanilla ice cream was also yummy.

But Stefani made it special - made good suggestions, clearly she is a people person

All and all a great evening

Wine prices definitely improved, but a lot of grocery store bottles. One can have reasonable prices AND eclectic wines. My gnocchi was good, two salmon dishes were overcooked. Birthday girl was craving the diver scallops, got turned off when $43 only bought 3. Without BOGO coupon, prices would not justify a visit. Used to be better.

Totally misleading. Service was awful. Ambiance felt like an old age home. Fortunately, we got a hint of this when it took 10 minutes for us to even to get water, much less noticed at our table. It was the hostess that finally did that. We only stayed for appetizers, which took way to long and were unimpressive as far as flavor, but presented nicely. After nearly an hour, we left hungry and had to find dinner elsewhere. Sort of knew it was going to go that way when our server asked if we had a coupon, and it is portrayed as fine dining.

Service was good. Food uninspiring and terribly over priced for the quality. Guess I shouldn’t expect any more from a hotel restaurant.

Wish I would have gone to Ruth’s Chris on the other side of the hotel lobby.

Everything was stellar. I wish there were more diners in the restaurant. I loved the new shrimp and grits dish — so did my 2 year old. My wife got the the new filet dish — her haricot vert accompaniments were our of this world. We will be dining here again next year when we return to Marina Inn for our family vacation.

Girlfriends and I were vacationing in Myrtle Beach from Chicago, and went to WaterScapes on a Monday evening the week before Memorial Day. Overall, we had a good time - food was outstanding, server was attentive, and the dining area which is located in the beautiful Grand Dunes Marina Inn was very nicely decorated. The dining room was only 1/4 full on that Monday evening, but I assume that is because it was off season. The bread pudding was AMAZING!
