Waters Edge has been a go-to restaurant for us when we have friends visiting from out of town, both for the awesome views and the food. This visit was a disappointment. The food was only fair, portions were small and overall just not up to our expectations. It was a Saturday night, and the restaurant was only half full, so apparently we aren't the only people who have fallen out of love with Waters Edge. Very sad.

We did the Harborview on Sunday for Brunch and back again on Monday for steak. Halls was recommended, but I didn't need a $50 steak. The filet and steak my husband had was wonderfully done, with mashed potatoes. The Spinach salad was big enough to split too. Also the wine prices are affordably priced. We are vacationing for 2 weeks and like to have a very good meal without a huge cost. This is your place. I would go back again for a fish dinner if we had time. Love the place. great views too.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience. We had individual food allergy needs and a person with a physical disability. Our service was outstanding. Special diets were accommodated with affability. The food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable! The staff seemed to work seamlessly as a team. We’ll be back:-)

If you’re going to go out for seafood in the Charleston area, drive the extra fifteen minutes to downtown. Just mediocre.

Great service! We went for thanksgiving and they featured a traditional buffet and full menu. We ordered off the menu Ans our entrees were delicious. The service was awesome- our waiter was attentive and had a great attitude about working on a holiday.

This is our 5th year having our Thanksgiving meal at Water's Edge. We have never been disappointed and will continue to dine there often! It's a superb restaurant with just the right amount of "class." No phony ambiance there!

We made reservations for Thanksgiving and were very happy with the food and service. The buffet had all of our Thanksgiving favorites and those who did not want turkey or ham were happy ordering from the menu. Even on a nasty day outside, it's nice to view the creek.

The absolute worst restaurant experience in Charleston. We recall many excellent meals here from years ago when we lived here. This was supposed to be a special evening for my wife’s birthday. It was horrible. Our reservation was at 8:45. The lights were on full bright so we could barely see out the window to Shem Creek. The food was mediocre - a huge step down from the last time we ate there a few years ago. The staff was awful. The buss boys were loud and obnoxious the entire evening.

By far the single worst dining experience in our lives. Do not waste your money at this place.

Water's Edge is our go to spot for Sunday Brunch. Usually I shy away from any buffet because it causes me to overindulge. Notwithstanding either from the menu or from the buffet Water's Edge dining options are very good. We were with a large group and had a time crunch and the server did a yeoman's job of making sure we were finished dining in plenty of time. So, very good food, beautiful surroundings and excellent service makes Water's Edge a good choice.

we have dined here several times while visiting Charleston. I'm certain this will likely be our last visit. Given the many dining options. Our server was unattentive, my flounder was luke warm and in general it seemed the place was trying to close down vs. service the existing customers.

Water's Edge was referred to us by the hotel concierge and wow, it did not disappoint!!! We were seated by the windows and had the most amazing view of the passing boats . We ordered the oyster appetizer, lobster and seafood pasta for dinner, and crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was delicious! Our daughter just moved to the area and I'm sure we'll be stopping here again soon!

We had a reservation for 9 people and had requested a table on the inside porch by the water. We all waited in the bar for at least 30 minutes or more while they got our table ready. Finally spoke with the Manager, who was very nice and took care of things. Our waiter was excellent , very friendly and efficient.

Fresh, excellent seafood. Me: fried platter, wife shrimp and grits. Only item that wasn’t perfect: fried shrimp were over cooked. Really good oysters and fried fish. Loved the red rice, not spicy like in New Orleans and Vegas

I have eaten many times at Water’s Edge and it has always been excellent. Shrimp scampi is my usual selection. This time it had way too much garlic! I did tell our server but have no idea if it was communicated to the chef.

Our waitress was super slow and let our drinks run out several times. We were in town for a doctors appointment at MUSC and went to Waters Edge for lunch. We mentioned the restaurant to our doctor.,he said the place had peeked and gone down. Will Not eat at waters edge on our next trip to Charleston.

Don’t waste your time at this place when there are so many other seafood spots . We went there on a last minute reservation and had decent service , but bland and watery seafood. There was absolutely no flavor in the paella and the shrimp scampi tasted like watered down frozen food .
