Lovely view of Shem Creek. Outdoor seating, charming ambiance. Food was good but luke-warm. Staff was courteous. She crab soup was good, but not great. Charleston has great Restaraunts...this one gets a B.
Always a good experience , decent food and sometimes good, service OK, but really good location and environment. Nice ‘go to’ place where it will be a good time and low risk...
Great View of Shem Creek and food was wonderful. The Flounder was light and tasty and the She Crab soup was the best!
Perfect view. Great service.
Love Water's Edge and Shem Creek. I try to go there every time I visit Mount Pleasant.
Excellent Sunday breakfast buffet. Reasonable price, excellent service and great environment.
My son and I were in Mt Pleasant with our Cub Scout Pack camping on the Yorktown. After 3 meals there we wanted some real food. Waters Edge was close by and a great choice.
Made a reservation and only waited a few minutes. Hostesses and server were very nice. Started with a margarita, 7 and ginger, and fish bites which were all very good. Second course was salads - delicious but exceptionally overpriced ($7.50 each for garden salads). My husband had the ribeye with mash potatoes. The potatoes were bland as was the steak. The steak was also so tough he could barely cut it. He enjoys the fat of a ribeye but this cut was so tough, he couldn’t eat the fat. I had crab cakes with vegetables and red rice. The crab cakes were delicious and full of crab.... I could have done without the rice and the sauce that came with them.
Our experience at Water's Edge was beautiful. We were here celebrating our anniversary and enjoyed ourselves very much. Our server was very nice but took a little longer than expected getting our water refilled. My husband guzzles water like a fish and I had to give him mine since we couldn't find our server after a while. Perhaps he had more tables than he could handle. Other than than, our table was great and the food/drinks were excellent aside for the steak being a tad on the fatty side.
The food was wonderful, the service was excellent and the portions were very genrous.
Especially appreciated their flexibility in working five of us into a 4-person reservation while still meeting our special seating requests on a crowded Sunday morning brunch.
Bar seating is amazing! Great place for an intimate family dinner and birthday celebration!!!
I would recommend reservations. Great location, ez in and out. Right on the water, good view from in and out. In and outside bar. Food and service was exceptional
Great food. Table was ready when we arrived. Wonderful service.
The view is great especially at sunset. Even though it was crowded, the noise level was tolerable. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. The vegetables and potatoes were cold on both my husband’s plate and mine. The fish I had was okay but my husband’s steak was medium well instead of the medium rare that he ordered. More than likely we will not return.
We went to Waters Edge twice. First instance was dinner which for both of us was seafood that was quite nicely done. A bit noisy but we were seated near the bar as opposed to a dedicated dining room. Service was excellent.
Water's Edge was recommended to us from a friend. We enjoyed the food. The seafood platter was fresh and the shrimp/grits was excellent. We had great service and the Mud Pie for dessert was theperfect end to a great meal!
Great food and great service. This was a special occasion for us and it was perfect.
Excellent service and food! We had the lobster tails. Great salad and bread! Our waiter did great. We also ended with the mud pie!
The view is always nice but the food was not great. The calamari was basically very crispy fried breading, kids menu is over priced and does not include a drink. My daughter took one bite of the grilled cheese and would not eat more, which she generally devours. She Crab soup was white and kind of like gravy, vs the other SC soup. Not doing it for us this time.
Disappointed with red rice on every dish. It didn’t go well at all with my mahi. Server was very rushed and still took a while. Bathroom was trashed!
Nice ,,,, very pleasant experience,,, fried oysters were great
Horrible service from waiter. We had to wave him down to refill drinks
We had a very nice meal and I felt my dinner which was prime rib and seafood was the best I have tasted in a very long time.
Wonderful on-the-Water dining with great service.
Waitress very friendly.
Also, 2 waitresses when I was there with three other on Jan. 31 were especially friendly and nice. I should have written that on Feb. 1 when I did an earlier survey.
We have dined at Water's Edge many times and always enjoy it. However, this time we were very unhappy and stressed with the parking. We drove around the lot for 40 minutes trying to find a parking space. We saw many arguments and fights over parking spaces. The spaces reserved for Water's Edge say "towing enforced" but it obviously is not. Unfortunately we will not be back unless it is during a week day. Not a good way to begin a nice evening.
Food was delicious
My wife enjoyed a fresh lobster tail and I had herb crusted grouper. Both were excellent.
Service was friendly and prompt. Creme brule for dessert a nice finish.
This place is absolutely WONDERFUL. The food was amasing the view was wonderful and the people where just great.
The soups were great everything else seemed like it was plated and ready to go because it was cold and bland
Nice location good food and service a little expensive but worth it
The only problem we had while dining at Water’s Edge was that we asked to start out with a shrimp cocktail and the waitress completely forgot and ended up never bringing it out. Other than that, she was nice and the food was very good. The ambiance was perfect for our Valentine’s Day date.
Great service, great food, great views. Wonderful value at brunch.
I'm very disappointed with our latest meal at Water's Edge. We have been to Sunday brunch twice before and really enjoyed our meal. This time, not so much. The food delivery was delayed and when it got to us it was cold and tasteless. The French toast was served without butter, not surprising since it certainly couldn't have melted. The bacon was overcooked and the grits were blah. We were not offered coffee cup replenishing until we were done with our meal.
Water’s Edge has always been a favorite of ours for great food and service. My husband ordered the calamari appetizer and I had the mussels. Both were extremely good. For dinner he had the paella, which he normally gets, and I had shrimp and scallops Alfredo. He was somewhat disappointed in the paella which wasn’t prepared with saffron rice. It also appeared to be on the dry side. My only issue with the pasta is the scallops were very bland. My suggestion would be to sear them before adding to the dish. Our server was adequate considering she had several tables of which a couple were large parties. We have always enjoyed Water’s Edge but unfortunately, this time is was just “okay”. But we shall return soon.
Great waterfront ambiance! Fish stew was wonderful.
The brunch food was served a bit cool. Would have loved hot eggs and meat! Tasted good though. Service was just ok. We enjoyed being there, and would go back.
Great location and views but I’ve had better brunch at an embassy suites. We ended up staying two hours because we could never find our waiter for refills on drinks or for the check.
Wonderful food, excellent service, and a beautiful view. What's not to like?
