Water's Edge - Charleston
I love taking out of town guests to the Shem Creek area! Water's edge and Vickeries have the best food on the creek! Our server, blue eyed dude, was hilarious and attentive. My family very much enjoyed the experience as well as the food!
Our evening at the waterfront was very nice. The food was delicious, but the service was outstanding! We were craving for seafood and the Waterfront delivered.
Sunday brunch. Really all you could ask for. We are not drinkers but the Bloody Mary bar looked very interesting.
Casual and pleasant.
The online menu features “duck” that is no longer available. Please correct!
My second time eating here. Will return when I am in the area.
the view from the water side is wonderful. the service is excellent. the quality of the food is ok. mashed potatoes and squash cold. Friend seafood over-coated with flour. The quantity of the seafood was good. the shrimp was really good, fried fish hard to find for the coating vastly overwhelmed the fish. liked the scallops and oysters. the seafood platter is good, just wish the temperatures of the dishes were evenly warmer.
I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience. I especially enjoyed the interactions with amazing bartenders at the Cabana-Jonathan and Lacey. Though I don’t recall the servers name, he was very attentive to my dietary needs and was very pleasant. I will be returning again.
We always love Water’s Edge!! The food is Amazing, the staff is friendly & the view is unforgettable!! You got to get the Mud Pie for dessert!! It is the best!!
Went for Valentine’s Day. It was really nice. The seating overlooks the water unless inside. The only thing I didn’t like is the menu didn’t accurately describe how my meal would be. It ended up being this soupy mess with lots of tomatoes and the seafood just thrown in it. Other than this it was a great experience! Would go again.
Bathroom located outside of restaurant .. Small portion scallops were great but only had 5 petite dime size cauliflower pieces
Absolutely beautiful view! The service and food was amazing! Definitely would recommend this place, and will be going back when I’m back in Charleston!
My wife's and I first time at this restaurant and we were amazed on the setup and hospitality that was offered. The food was amazing, oysters were fresh and great recommendations. My waiter Steven was very friendly and knowledgeable and I will definitely go back when I'm in town again.
Nice place for brunch . Food was good. Nice sunny porch with scenic view.
We had a great experience. The service was very good. Atmosphere was pleasant. We each had something different and all was very good. This is our third time at this restaurant and would highly recommend it.
Food was very good -- excellent. Ordered salmon and women ordered seafood platters w shrimp (delicious) and oysters (yummy). Salmon tender and very tasty. Sides good but likely short of excellent.
Great staff and great views. Would go again if I visit!
Some of the best food we have had in S.C. We love this place and the view is great. We have seen a dolphin every time we have been.
Amazing experience, thank you
It smelled musty and old. Service was very slow as well.
Beautiful location on Schem Creek.
Nice selection of Apps and Salads.
Excellent She Crab Soup and the Seafood
Paella was spot on with plenty of seafood.
Will come back soon.

Disappointing. Visiting and chose Water's Edge based on selections in their online menu. None of them are available! Although owners changed in March 2019, online menu has not changed. Actual menu entirely different. Ordered calamari (too salty), she-crab soup (also too salty), avocado hummus (excellent) and bread (also excellent).
I was disappointed in the quality of the food. The ambiance was nice though. Our experience would have been great if the food quality was a match to the environment of the restaurant. I am sure you will make a note of my experience and improve it for future visits.
Great view and food that we always enjoy year after year.
Subtle changes with new owners!
Our waiter was incompetent and seemed to be preoccupied. Was asked for two desserts and coffee. He brought one dessert and said the cofffee was being brewed after we had completed dessert. He seemed ill informed about wine selections. The food was not up to par for the price. The spinach salad was delicious.
Food was not good and our waiter took forever and was rude. I didn’t touch my food and was not offered a refund or something else to eat.
Food was good but came out cold, the waitress fixed it.
Food was great! We got to sit with a view of the water
Nearly very good.
Front end girl needs to go to charm school! Service at the bar was wonderful! Food was over cooked!
Food was very good, very busy when we were there the wait service seemed to get overwhelmed.
All the seafood was over cooked.
Was very disappointed that there were no vegetarian options.
A salad just want work for Christmas Eve dinner
Chose the crab cake option and they were watery😝
Lovely seafood restaurant. Just the right place for an evening out.
Not our first visit and we are locals so this is not a one and done review. I like this restaurant. The bar is very nice and the pours are some of the best in the area. Everyone is friendly and very accommodating. The menu has good variety and the presentation is appealing. But there it ends. My seafood platter was actually less than the three star rating I gave it. The shrimp saved it from being worse but one of them was fresh out the box of frozen delights. Disappointing. The flounder also looked like a box catch and had little to no flavor. The scallops were rather tasty but encrusted in a thick, tasteless batter that had to be removed. The oysters were a total disgrace and an embarrassment for any restaurant in Charleston. Honestly, they looked like tiny pieces of deep fried pig fat. As I said, I like this restaurant but in the future will stick to drinks in the bar. I hope the owners take this review as an incentive to up their game in the kitchen.
Tuna is the best I have had! Wonderful for dates or for families and parties. If you haven't had the brunch on Sundays, put it on the to-do list. Amazing! One of our all time favorites in Charleston with great views.
Great food , view , employees & prices. I would definitely go again.
A perfect lunch on the patio in the sun watching dolphins and pelicans.
Our family group of six dined here for brunch on a Saturday and we had a great time ! We arrived at the location early enough to allow us some time to walk around the various docks in the area and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The table we were seated at was right by the water and allowed us a wonderful view of the water. We saw their resident dolphins (one is named Clipper) and pelicans. The food was outstanding ! Our server, Steve, took great care of us. He provided wonderful recommendations on menu items and he also made some fabulous cocktails for us. Overall it was a lovely dining experience.
Great location, Delicious food, friendly service. Nothing not to like
