Water's Edge - Charleston
BEAUTIFUL setting, professional and pleasant waiter (Joe from Illinois) Nice menu choices and delicious food!
Can’t wait to return!
It was ok. Our waitress was very busy too.
Good was greatvand service was wonderful! Would definitely go back the next time we are in town
Great food..great service..
Please pave your parking lot..
It was a lovely night at Water's Edge. The service was great, and the food was delicious! Thanks again!
There were 6 of us at dinner. The first glass to come to the table had lipstick on it. We ordered martinis and three of the glasses were chipped and we had to get them replaced. Of the six plates served the food was not correct on three of them. When the waiter was asked to contact the manager he did not and said the manager was busy. Overall a very unsatisfactory dining experience.
Food and service were excellent. Pricey, but you definitely get what you are paying for. Highly recommend them for a nice night out.
Food was very good. Was not too crowded when we arrived, but service slightly slow. Waiter very polite and attentive.
Appetizers were great and the main course was adequate, but not great. Oysters were very fresh and calamari was wonderful. Drinks were pretty tasty and the key lime pie was a nice ending. Really love the location and the view.
Food was alright, but not great: fries were cold and hard as tree branches, shrimp salad croissant was good. The buffet could be better: choice was limited and some food items were cold, overcooked, fried for too long or simply not fresh.
Overall a 3, service was excellent and location is great.
I was it’s usual awesome! Brought two couples with us and they were thrilled. Our waiter had an excellent sense of humor and great with water refills, wine, etc. The Manager personally came over to speak with us about dinner and our deserts. Truly an awesome experience and will be back !
Will be back again with friends. Enjoyed the beautiful view while dining. Food was delicious
Hostess not very professional
The view and weather was perfect. The setting was set outside overlooking the water. I ordered a Mimosa which I had to send back because it tasted like either the orange juice was bad or the glass still had soap residue on it. I asked to replace it with a Bloody Mary, which tasted fine. I ordered the special after our waitress raved about it; catfish po’ boy. My daughter ordered the goat cheese salad with chicken (for $4 extra dollars). The catfish was extremely greasy, slaw flavorless and the fries soggy. My daughter’s salad arrived without the chicken, which was promptly brought out on a separate plate, cold, flavorless and over cooked. After eating small portions of our meals, we asked for the check and the waitress seemed surprised that we did not want a “to go” box. When I received the bill I realized I had been charged for the Mimosa still Rather than argue, we were ready to leave and just wanted to hurry up and pay the bill. I would say if you are planning to go there for drinks and atmosphere, the bar is a great place to go. I would not recommend going there for a decent meal. In a foodie town, this place rated mediocre at best.
The food wasn't flavorful. The service and restuarant was good.
We love Water’s Edge! Always make it a priority when we’re in Mount Pleasant! Never disappointed!!!
The service was great and the food was delicious! We sat on the river side and even got to see a dolphin!
My husband and I always hosts our out-of-state and in-state friends at Waters Edge Sunday Brunch. It is our favorite restaurant, by far.
Had a very good experience. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
We enjoyed great choices like crab cakes, she crab soup, and platters of fried shrimp, oysters, scallops and flounder. Our waiter was a gem. We were placed viewing the water along the creek and witnessed a cool sunset.
To our delight, upon asking for our check we found out that our wonderfully generous real estate broker covered our dinner!
As always, we decided at the last minute that we wanted to eat someplace with a brunch buffet and a nice ambience, so we chose our standby Waters Edge! And as always, they didn’t disappoint! Brunch was good as always and even though I’m vegetarian now, I can still enjoy the brunch buffet here. Thanks Water’s Edge for accommodating even my picky appetite!
Great atmosphere. The waiter was awesome. My only complaint is the Mahi-mahi was a little dry.
I question the authenticity of the grouper. The filet mignon I had was mediocre at best and our waiter was not very educated in white wines. Instead of learning from his mistake, he chose to become upset which set the tone for his behavior and our experience for the rest of the evening. Not impressed.
We did enjoy our evening at Waters Edge overall. Had a great table with waterfront view. Our server was quite efficient and friendly. My wife’s shrimp scampi entree had to be returned. The entree was drowning in water and the pasta had absolutely no taste. It was cheerfully replaced with another entree and our server said the scampi would be removed from our bill. When the bill came the scampi has not been removed. Our server said the manager couldn’t multitask when he said her would take care of it. It was a nice quiet and leisurely evening even though the food was just average.
Great view. Server was very attentive. Food was great. Cocktails were great.
Thank you for a lovely evening
That’s all, that’s all that’s all that’s all that’s all that’s all that’s all
The food was just fine. It is a little pricey but that is expected for the area. The waitress was not rude but had almost no personality. I think I could have a better conversation with the wall.
Service has really went down since we visited this place two years ago. Food quality was no better that Popeyes, very disappointed in our overall experience. Will not be coming back - too many other better places to eat in Charleston.
We visited Water's Edge on Saturday, 2.15 celebrating Valentine's Day weekend with three couples. We were disappointed with the service from the beginning with having to make multiple request with the waitress to speaking with the manager. The amount we spent was approximately $250 and most of us were not pleased with the food. During the interactions with the waitress she was not attentive to us as we had to ask multiple time for drinks, bread and refills. As we were waiting for our checks, water spilled on the floor and it hit my foot and my friends purse. As we shared this with the waiter that was cleaning the floor, he said "thank you" and laughed it off. I was very appalled with his response so I asked for the manager. As the manager approached the table he bypassed 4 of us and went directly to our caucasian friends. I immediately advised him that I asked for him to come over; however, at this moment I felt he was being racial against us and made all of us feel uncomfortable. As I spoke with him he asked if we wanted dessert and he apologized. I would not recommend this restaurant and will never visit them again.
A great find. Enjoyed ourselves greatly. The Shem Creek Crawl is a festivity we will be back for and eat at the Water's Edge again.
So dang good! Sat overlooking the water! Service was great. Mahi and calamari were great!
Food was not
Good. Strange combination of flavors. Bar-B-Que sauce on salmon with brown sugar coated sweet potato fries. Not good
Good for birthday. Try to get table on outside patio if available. Bartender was good with suggestions for drinks while we waited for our table to open up. Friendly local crowd with mix of tourists made for good banter and environment.
We loved it! Husband loved the crab legs and I loved my pasta and the bread is always yummy there.
Always a wonderful experience!
Food was very good and service was excellent. Great atmosphere.
Our server was rude & very inpatient. Saw her along with another server rolling their eyes as they walked away from our tables. The ambience is likely character. The decor needs a revamp.
Went for Brunch
Food was excellent
Service was excellent
Will go back in the future
Food quality not as good since last visit. Noise level high since more tables seem to have been put in. Service was excellent however.
Overall good, service seems to be going wrong direction.
