Watermark Restaurant - Niagara Falls Ratings and Reviews
Escargot starter was simply ok not the best. Seared scallops would have been excellent with a touch less of salt. Chicken in chicken entree had no real flavors, menu did not indicate it was breaded and waiter stated it was pan seared which it did not seem like it with breading.
Great location and view of both Falls; service was excellent as usual. Food was good same basic menu with a slight modification removing some good features. Main dish was not hot, barely warm and cooled quickly so by the time I had three bites it wasn’t even warm. Disappointing. Parking on arrival wasn’t great but with the construction going on it made the garage a backed up mess of vehicles and we were waiting on young valet attendants that seemed a bit overwhelmed. Exiting the garage when the valet brought the car was confusing as nobody told me where to exit due to the construction closure of the main driveway. This was a dinner with visiting family from Australia; she loved the views and the restaurant. Thanks for a nice evening.
Was very nice place, the waiter was great!! The price for the food was very very expensive!!! Didn’t think it was worth the price for the food!! The drinks were also super expensive!!!!! So great place if you don’t mind spending a lot of money on your meal and drinks! But for the price I wouldn’t go back.
My carrot cake cost $14 and tasted like the kids from Schriner's Hospital were on Chopped Jr and the kid with no arms made a carrot cake with his feet. My squash soup was sweet when it should have been savory. Take a good look at the menu. Taste the food. Get some help and some new recipes.
The View of the falls makes this restaurant. The service was great but the food was not prepared well. Ordered the 10oz Steak and they came out cold and over cooked for our Med. Rare order. we sent them back and they brought us very rare steaks that we did not finish. The appetizers and salad were good but the scallops were under cooked. The service and the View made up for this and we still had a great night. It was nice of them to offer us a free dessert to make up for the mis-steak. Would recommend to friends but avoid the steak.
We had dinner here on Christmas Day. It was a nice ambiance with a window table overlooking the Falls. Our server didn't really explain how the menu worked. You could choose 3 or 5 which we thought included the sides. We chose A starter, main, sides and desert thinking that was 5. When we got the bill it showed 2 3 course meals plus extra for sides. A little confusing.
I had the salmon which was a little bland. my husband had the lamb, recommended by our server. We were a bIt disappointed in the experience
When party ordered 5 choices option it was disappointing that some choices were brought out before finishing one. When dining in this ambiance you would like the dining experience to be staged better.
We had a great table with a view but unfortunately two large groups next to us so it was loud and difficult hearing our tables conversation at times.
Our waitress was unpleasant and arrogant. She had a bad additude. It was our wedding day dinner and my husband did not want to leave her a tip. I said we have to leave something so I think he left her 10.00 on a 190.00 bill. We also did not let her spoil our evening and ignored her presence the best we could.
Other than being seated at the time out corner of the restaurant, we really have no complaint about the experience. My wife and I had to sit not across from each other but at the 2 adjacent sides of the table. The selling point we were given was for privacy and the view. We enjoyed the view and the food was great. Service was efficient.
The view at The Watermark is second to none, unfortunately the food was forgettable. As a vegetarian, I researched the menu prior to booking. Once we got there they stated that they had just changed the menu, and now only had 1 vegetarian item which was some type of stew. Not interested in this I was offered a vegetarian risotto which was short of terrible. If you’re going for drinks then I would highly recommend this place. The service was also amazing as our server was extremely polite and attentive.
I had originally taken a friend for dinner a couple of years ago and we both thought the food and friendly atmosphere was fantastic. I then brought both my girls last year for their birthdays and they also loved it. This year I brought my Sister and again no disappointments.
I would come back over and over again.
Loved our meal and service here! Was truly one of the best ever. The only thing I would recommend is to have higher back chairs as we found that we were a little hunched over when we were sitting and had sore backs . I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know .
The view from the restaurant is amazing. Our server was fantastic but the cook messed up our order and my husbands Lobster tail didn't arrive at the table with the rest of our meal. In fact we ended up taking it to-go. The lobster tail was the best I had ever eaten but it would have been nice to eat it with our meal at the restaurant. I ordered the chicken and I found it to be slightly over cooked and nothing to call home about. Overall it was a good experience and we both enjoyed the view.
