Watermark Restaurant - Niagara Falls Ratings and Reviews
When party ordered 5 choices option it was disappointing that some choices were brought out before finishing one. When dining in this ambiance you would like the dining experience to be staged better.
We had a great table with a view but unfortunately two large groups next to us so it was loud and difficult hearing our tables conversation at times.
Our waitress was unpleasant and arrogant. She had a bad additude. It was our wedding day dinner and my husband did not want to leave her a tip. I said we have to leave something so I think he left her 10.00 on a 190.00 bill. We also did not let her spoil our evening and ignored her presence the best we could.
Other than being seated at the time out corner of the restaurant, we really have no complaint about the experience. My wife and I had to sit not across from each other but at the 2 adjacent sides of the table. The selling point we were given was for privacy and the view. We enjoyed the view and the food was great. Service was efficient.
The view at The Watermark is second to none, unfortunately the food was forgettable. As a vegetarian, I researched the menu prior to booking. Once we got there they stated that they had just changed the menu, and now only had 1 vegetarian item which was some type of stew. Not interested in this I was offered a vegetarian risotto which was short of terrible. If you’re going for drinks then I would highly recommend this place. The service was also amazing as our server was extremely polite and attentive.
I had originally taken a friend for dinner a couple of years ago and we both thought the food and friendly atmosphere was fantastic. I then brought both my girls last year for their birthdays and they also loved it. This year I brought my Sister and again no disappointments.
I would come back over and over again.
Loved our meal and service here! Was truly one of the best ever. The only thing I would recommend is to have higher back chairs as we found that we were a little hunched over when we were sitting and had sore backs . I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know .
The view from the restaurant is amazing. Our server was fantastic but the cook messed up our order and my husbands Lobster tail didn't arrive at the table with the rest of our meal. In fact we ended up taking it to-go. The lobster tail was the best I had ever eaten but it would have been nice to eat it with our meal at the restaurant. I ordered the chicken and I found it to be slightly over cooked and nothing to call home about. Overall it was a good experience and we both enjoyed the view.
I ate at this restaurant back in July of 2017 for my parents anniversary and it was a great experience, so I was really looking forward to going again to celebrate my friends birthday...
This visit was disappointing.
the soup I ordered tasted burnt, the add on lobster tail was rubbery and
the drawn butter also tasted burnt. My short ribs was actually a hunk of pot roast...
My view was obstructed by a plexiglass railing and I looked down on wait staff gather items and such at a small area to get water glasses and things
Not nice to see things that should be behind the scenes and it was distracting
Considering the cost of the bill I had hoped for the great experience I had the first time
Great view of the Falls. Despite some reviews we found the service and friendliness of the staff to be very good. Food is probably best described as average. Small portions. Wine selection was very good and deserts were excellent. Price was acceptable for the experience and views of the illuminated falls after dark.
We went for our anniversary and then got engaged that night. It had a wonderful view of the falls, especially as it got dark. You could watch the Falls as they were lit up with color. Great vibe to the restaurant. My only complaint is how we were seated. The table was set up, so we weren't across from each other and my view of the Canadian falls was completely blocked by a wall. AND we were very close to the other couple who were RIGHT next to us.
My husband and I went to The Watermark for our Wedding Anniversary dinner 10/21/17 which also happened to be Sweetest Day. Everything was perfect from the free valet parking, booth facing both falls to the wine and every bit of the meals (lamb, salmon, pea soup, tomato veggie soup, chocolate moose and carrot cake).
Food & view great. The web info needs to be updated. There's no wine choice for the 5-course meal as stated in the web info. The waitress said it was only for one month after the place was opened. Why not update the info so it won't be construed as false advertising.
This restaurant is absolutely awesome! The food is wonderful, just enough and not too much. The attire is casual business, so comfortable but sexy:) and everything we ordered was super yummy. The steak was cooked to a t!! Mostly though, our waitress LISA (blonde) she was outstanding. Super friendly, informative, happy, and overall just a great waitress. We will definitely make this a stopping ground when we are in Canada. And the view is wonderful too, from the 33 floor. Would highly recommend for any occasion!
We were placed under aircon opening and was freezing cold most of the time. After the starters there was a band/live music playing so loud we couldn't even hear what the waiter was saying when he brought our main course . We asked the waiters about it but nothing changed. Service was polite but ackward like when the waiter who gave us bread just dropped it and two times without hitting the plate and just went on.
It was overpriced. The menu stated the shrimp cocktail was with Tiger shrimp which it was not. There were three medium shrimp on a plate with a smear of sauce for each one. Th lighting was poor which caused a reflection on the glass obstructing the widely acclaimed view of the falls.
The elegance or the restaurant it self is awesome and the offer is unbelievable,
Service was okay not outstanding but okay. The menu reads well and will get you excited at glance but the execution of the menu by the kitchen was completely unacceptable I'm a foodie and constiently go out to eat but this was truly the worst food experience ever.
