Watermark Restaurant - Niagara Falls
Located on the 33rd floor, The Watermark's elegant, contemporary ambiance is reminiscent of the majestic Niagara Falls itself. Our menu is inspired by both local and regional producers from fine crafted Niagara regional wines to prosciutto from a Niagara Falls local artisan. Tim O'Donnell, our Executive Chef, uses fresh seasonal ingredients that transpire into creative dishes.
Our new fixed-price menu allows you to customize your dining experience.
Seating requests are NOT guaranteed, however we will do our very best to accommodate them
The food and service was wonderful, but what truly seals the deal is the view.
Great service, great food, amazing view of the falls
Excellent food and ambiance. The meal was well paced and the view was beautiful. Best meal we had in the Falls area! Definitely recommend.
View was incredible. I think the food was good but not the best I have had, but between the view and the excellent service, we had an amazing experience.
My wife and I had a very nice dinner here. We booked our reservation at 930 pm. The view is spectacular. At 10 there are a fireworks display over Niagara Falls. It was breathtaking. The food was excellent but you only have one choice. It’s $59 a person for a 3 course meal. The menu was a bit limited but the food was delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
It was our anniversary weekend in Niagara Falls so we wanted a romantic dinner overlooking the falls and boy did we get it! Service was 5 stars from beginning to end. It was a Friday evening and there was a live cover artist singing and fireworks to end the night.
Food was great, drinks were great, and service was top knotch! I’m so glad we chose To dine at Watermark. It was a very memorable experience!
Ambiance was ruined by the lounge singer one floor above. Got a little noisy, and in my opinion anyways, I didn’t think he was that good. Food, service and view were fantastic though - may want to go earlier in the evening to avoid the lounge act.
The view and the atmosphere are awsome but the food could be a lot bettet.
Beautiful view...especially when fireworks are on!
I would recommend it only for the view and service. The food in general was under seasoned and underwhelming. The dessert my husband ordered had a chocolate syrup that I swear was Hershey’s syrup and the creme brûlée sugar was burnt. I would expect more for dinner for 2 that cost $300. Maybe go for drinks and skip the dinner service.
Best thing about this place is the view. The food was ok, actually pretty reasonable for 3 courses. The mussel app was really good but the pork belly tasted more like pork loin than pork belly. The peri peri chicken was good as well as the NY strip (upcharge) but it had some tough parts. The desserts were really good as well as the service.
We had to wait a while for service and food was a huge disappointment.
The prix fixe is a good deal. But the pork belly appetizer and short rib main were lacking flavour and were a bit dry. Since they’re probably made ahead of time and reheated for service explains this. All in all it was an okay experience. Just not $200 worth.
Overall , it’s good restaurant with a great view...
Food was ok Service excellent View outstanding Will be back definitely
The prix fixed menu is excellent value, with better food than local competitors. Good service and killer views make this a top-notch choice.
Amazing atmosphere & even more amazing service
The food was either overcooked, over seasoned, just not good at all. The menu offers very high end sounding items but all of them are done terribly, we order 7 appitzers for 5 people and not a single one was good. We didn't finish a single one and the waitress didn't bother to ask if we did or didn't enjoy it.
We were a party of 5 and they squeezed into a 4-top. The 5th person had to sit at the end of the table I was shoved right up against a big column. I realize that you can't always get ideal seating arrangements but they should have at least joined a 4-top and a 2-top. There were plenty of empty tables in the dining room, so it's not like they were packed to gunnels. I expect that if we had requested a change of tables, they would have accommodated us; but nobody wanted to impose. I just thought it was a bit short-sighted; at the rates you pay in that restaurant, I would have expected that they would have sat us at a 6-top.
Our waiter was a great guy and worked really hard to please us. The food in general was very good. The scallops and shrimp app was amazing, but my main course was a disappointment. I ordered Salmon on a bed of risotto. The salmon was very over-cooked and risotto was clearly made with cream. I am used to overcooked fish in most restaurants but I was hoping that such a highly publicized and respected restaurant would at least get it flaky. The meat entrees were great, from what everyone told me. The dessert selection was a bit light. My wife had a berry tart, which she loved. I had the death by chocolate, which was a brownie smothered in chocolate sauce and a crème fraiche I ordered a port to go with it but couldn't take more than a spoonful or two because it was so sickeningly sweet that it completely overpowered the port. Had I known, I would not have ordered wasted it. If you have children, they will love it.
Of course, the view of the Falls is the reason most people eat there. You can't beat the ambience, even though I had to crane my neck around the column to see the fireworks Overall, we had a great time. The ambience is unique, we were with friends and we had a few drinks so we really enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely return but next time, I will ask for a better table if I'm not happy with teh assigned one.
The prices were high. The waiter didn’t really explain the menu. They view was amazing but there was a private party above which made it very loud and I couldn’t really hear my partner across the table. There was a guy a few tables away that kept taking pictures with a huge flash that was very distracting. The food was ok and wasn’t really anything special. I have had better pork and lamb at less expensive restaurants.
Wonderful view of the waterfall while eating a delicious meal! The restaurant was very accommodating with my dairy intolerance. There was even a vegan option! My server went through several options to ensure that I would enjoy my meal and I absolutely did! I will will definitely be returning to the Watermark!
The second waitress was great. The food was so so. The first waiter was okay. View was awsome.
Our server Carolyn was AWESOME! The view was spectacular and the food even better! We’re still talking about it!
Our server was excellent, the same with the appetizers. Unfortunately the night we went they had 2 large parties come in however not the staff to cover. It took 1 and 1/2hours for our main menu to come. The wait was long however we were enjoying a bottle of wine. When our mains finally came we were expecting something spectacular however the food steak was tough and the food was bland to the point where it was not edible. The server was excellent and comped our meals. We have been before and yes we will go back and give them another opportunity.
We were headed to Niagara Falls for the weekend and were looking for a restaurant with a view of the falls for a late dinner on Sunday night. Based on reviews and pictures, the Watermark had the best views so we chose to eat there. The view wasn't the only extraordinary thing about this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing.
We weren't too excited about having to order a dessert when we first looked at the menu, as none of us are really "dessert" types of people. Upon sitting at our table, our server Nick let us know that we could get an extra appetizer instead of a dessert. Due to this, the four of us were able to try most of the appetizers that are offered. The Octopus Carpaccio and the shrimp and scallops with the risotto were both amazing! I would go back just for those if I could.
For dinner we had the salmon, halibut, pork chop and NY steak. Each one of these entrees was amazing with the halibut and salmon being our favorites. My pork chop was cooked perfectly and the sweet potato mash was a perfect pair.
Our server, Nick, was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout our time there. he didn't even mind taking the obligatory tourist picture of the 4 of us and the falls even though he was obviously very busy.
We will not hesitate to go back here if we head back up to that area again in the future.
The ambiance is spectacular however the menu needs to be addressed. $59 for three course meal seems a little high and then most of the entrees have an additional charge, i.e lamb +$12, seafood +$29 and so on. Also, drinks are highly overpriced. Next time will travel to St Catherines for better value for my money.
Great service, wonderful meal and an unbeatable view of Niagara Falls.
We went for my birthday and my first trip to Niagara Falls.
Our server Michelle was absolutely fantastic - very attentive and sweet. She gave us a bunch of recommendations of places to go in Toronto (we were headed there the next day). And we had an unbelievable view of the falls from our table.
I got the short ribs that were absolutely delicious, and my girlfriend Sara got the Salmon with risotto - definitely something to be desired there.
We had amazing desserts and drink and all in all it was a beautiful night. I would definitely come back!
The food was great! Our waitress was attentive. The view of course was spectacular. We had asked for a view of the falls and it was granted. We had no issues. No hidden fees, just read the menu. Highly recommended!
Waiter rushed. Recommended not to eat what I choose, suggested I eat a better meal.
Obscene seating across from neon CASINO sign. We requested window table in celebration of our 35th Anniversary & were literally assigned the Worst table available. Never again.
Spectacular view of the falls and surrounding area. Our server was excellent and gave good recommendations. For mains we had the salmon which was okay, the beef short rib which was very good and the pork chop which was dry. The restaurant charges a tourist fee of over 7%. Wouldn't run back but wouldn't refuse to go back either.
I would recommend this restaurant if staying in the Niagara Falls area! The view is spectacular during the day and evening! Plenty of food for the money, and delicious! Service was spot on as well
Awesome but expensive. Good quality price though.
I was disappointed with the restaurant. I felt rushed through dinner service. We were there to celebrate our 25th Anniversary (yes they knew) and were in and out within an hour. A mention of the casino in front of the windows would have been great!
No words to describe an evening looking at a window table sitting empty ( after I had requested one weeks ago for my Australian company). An inattentive waitress. No complaint about the food, but didn't understand the added Niagara Falls tax?
The food was not good
The waiter that brought food after he asked how everything was and he was told it was not very good he said he won’t take it personally and that he won’t lose any sleep over it
Excellent view, beautiful restaurant! Our waiter Tim was a gem! I ordered the salmon, it was over cooked and a bit bland but the rest of our dishes we ordered were very good! For Niagara Falls, the value is absolutely there.
Great view of Niagara Falls!!! Food was very good!
View is Excellent. Food was good. Service ok. Overpriced drinks, and then with the added fees- thumbs down!
