What a wonderful meal to cap off the Easter weekend! We dined on the upstairs terrace which felt like we were in the trees. The oysters, the salads, the meal... everything was so fresh and flavorful. The wine was the perfect compliment for the food.
Marco was amazing! Great service and our food was delicious!!
Great prices, Delicious Food and excellent location! Surprised this place isn't more busy frequently!
Our server was great. Extremely attentive and friendly.
Wonderful food and service as always at Watermarc on a surprisingly busy Thursday night. Noise level much higher than we’ve experienced on previous visits.
Food was great even though lunch offered limited fare. Bacon wrapped dates and burrata were slices of heaven as were the cocktails and the red wine burger was great but the traditional burger was dry and slightly over cooked.
Loved it. Great meal for a vegan!
Watermarc never fails to impress. Our friends loved their meals (Scallops and Lamb Salad) and the atmosphere. We’ve enjoyed every visit to Watermarc. Always excellent cuisine and service!
Good service and excellent food.
Good selection of inventive foods on the menu, well executed in the kitchen served by friendly and attentive staff.
We went to Watermarc to celebrate my birthday and it was lovely! Wade served us, a very seasoned and pleasant server. The food is amazing. The halibut special was outstanding! The three way filet was also great and fun to taste the different ways to make a filet. Butternut squash soup so yummy! They were so nice to bring a flan for birthday dessert and I wanted to lick the bowl it was so good. We will definitely go back when we visit Laguna.
My steak was terrible. My guest fish very bad. Service poor. Last time there was excellent. This time very poor
Great way to celebrate a friend's birthday! Service and food was excellent as always! Highly recommend Watermarc.
A friend and I went to Watermarc for lunch for the first time and were the first customers, so we got a beautiful half booth by the window. We were greeted by a enthusiastic hostess and our waiter who was training another waitress came to our table to ask how we were and for drinks right away. So far, a great start and obviously thought the food would match the ambiance and customer service so we were excited to try our meal. Unfortunately there isn’t much of a selection but so love shrimp and thought a name like Sizzling Garlic shrimp was going to be tasty. Ugh! It was one of the most bland dishes I’ve ever had. It had the sizzle from the cast iron skillet but none of the garlic or butter flavor and it was so small. I had like five small shrimp, which was definitely not worth the price. We got some very hard and dry bread to accompany it, but my friend said she did have a decent salad so there’s that. Anyway, the staff is wonderful but I doubt we will go back because of the limited and flavorless food. The place has great potential so hopefully they will only get better. Here’s to a promising future.
Always a fabulous burger!! Kevin our serve is awesome.
Fantastic experience and the best scallops we've ever had. A little pricey, but worth it!
We had a great first time here, we had 2 servers both were great. Had several plates all delicious. We don’t get down to Laguna very often, mostly because it’s so crowded. Took awhile to find a spot the parking lot behind them was full. Fun to people watch while eating saw the ocean for a little bit and someone parked a big suv in the way. Would definitely recommend
RUDE HOSTESS AND TERRIBLE SERVICE. We were seated at a very tiny table even though the entire second floor was EMPTY. And we had a reservation. Our tiny table got quickly filled with food and empty glasses because a server hadn’t come back for a while. We had to put one of the empty glasses on a LARGE empty table next to us until our server could clear our table. Then a hostess came by and questioned us why we had to put the empty glass on the empty table. She then proceeded to pick up the empty glass, stuck her hand in front of my face and handed the glass back to me. Are you for real? Who does that?
Our waiter Marcus was the bomb. Humorous, timely and knowledgeable. When my gluten free friend couldn't find anything on the dessert menu to her liking (they had items, but they didn't strike her fancy). He went across the alley and purchased a chocolate Gelato for her! SERVICE. Priceless.
We were greeted warmly by the hostess and then our server Mario. We had an awesome table that was front and center facing the street. The menu had some great choices. I settled for a fish and chips entree and my boyfriend decided on a French dip sandwich. My dish was wonderful along with a lovely presentation! I also appreciated the $5 mimosa! We were happy that we made the choice to eat here and thank you Mario for being such an awesome server!!
We always request our favorite table and server, Kevin. He hasn’t disappointed us in 5 years with recommendations or service. Highly recommend Watermarc’s or their sister restaurants, Opah and 230 Forest Avenue.
Ambiance, service and food was outstanding! Came with friends and drove an hour and a half to get there. Totally worth it. We will be back!
Food was decent (didn’t quite live up to reviews). Dining room merged into bar so seated in dining room TVs in view, not what I am looking for in a dining experience (or what I expected from the reviews I read). We had better experiences at other restaurants in town during our three night stay.
Good service, delicious food, nicely presented and a nice ambiance in the restaurant.
Food at Watermarc is consistently great. Service is efficient and everyone from servers to bus staff are friendly and helpful. One of our favorite local spots.
Wow what Laguna Beach gem. The restaurant is small intimate the service is fantastic and the food is out of this world.
Been here several times but food quality not good now and service poor.
Casual, simple, yet refined enough to take a date to for dinner and drinks.
great service and yummy food
Food was good, but a friend and I both ordered burgers and both were overcooked.
My experience coming here for the first time was good. I’m not a big fan of the communal tables but that’s ok. There is an upstairs which is where we sat but next time I would prefer sitting downstairs which is where most of the action is. Great bar, great menu and the food is very good. I ordered the scallops and they were very good. Unique style. I will be back.
The octopus is the most delicious I have ever eaten! Our waiter was fantastic and overall value great! We ordered 4 grazing plates for the two of us and it was more than enough food. Great wines too!
Service was excellent. The best Sea Bass ever! A must when visiting Laguna Beach.
Dinner was great
Huge let down and wondering how they have this kind of rating. The sizzling garlic shrimp was a handful of gummy, obviously frozen shrimp and a ton of sautéed onions that somehow lacked all flavor. The paella was a mess too—the seafood was shockingly low quality and the overall dish was bland and poorly prepared. Really, I have to know is this a 2,000+ review 4.5 star on OpenTable...this place would make it 3 months in an actual food town.
So this is the third restaurant with Chef Marc Cohen finishing our “ trifecta”. Watermarc did not disappoint. The salmon dish was delicious. The restaurant was pleasantly full but service was great. It was my birthday. Honored with a delicious dessert.
Had a group of Women together- they had a table all ready for us- the waiter was on top of everything- and funny. Great wine list. Really fun night
Great meal. Nice vibe and very good service. I would definitely go there again.
Our waiter made this a wonderful experience. The food was just average.
My husband and I enjoy coming here. You have a great wine list and lamb chops are my favorite. Dinner is always amazing
