Waterman Grille Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I had a great date night at the Waterman Grille. We had chosen it based on review we seen online and took a chance. We had a fantastic three course meal for a very reasonable price. The view was stunning as well as the atmosphere inside the restaurant. The service was by far our favorite part of the night. From the signature drinks in a tiki cup, to the appetizers and entrees the timing was impeccable, and the service staff even switched out your silverware throughout the meal. Wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!
Service was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was imaginative, variations of foods that were familiar and introductions to new dishes. The Waterview was lovely even at night. The restaurant was smaller then I had thought it would be and very crowded, but I will take that as a sign at its success. Overall, and very good experience.
We sat with water views, cozy inside, watching geese, ducks, and the occasional scull move along the wide river. Our service was very attentive without being obtrusive. Our food was outstanding, chosen from a wide (and nicely priced) selection of small bites to full meals, vegetarian to meat and fish. We had perfect coffee, served in individual French-press pots.
Reasonably priced, especially when you consider the service and the views that come with the experience.
Outstanding value with Prix Fixe meal and everything was fabulous from the moment we walked into the WG to the moment we left. Our waiter, Dan, was exemplary and the staff even provided a Happy Birthday card to my dinner companion along with Happy Birthday written on the plate. Every course was delicious from mussels to steak to orange almond cake with orange sorbet. Bravo! Brilliant meal and ambiance with the highest quality of service.
Thank you! Cheryl M
Waterman Grille is a great restaurant to any occasion. My family and I went to celebrate an anniversary and fall in love with the restaurant. The service was excellent, our waiter Dan was very friendly and helpful and very attentive. The menu had a lot of variety, but the Monday special was a great value, great food (good quantity/quality), and the red wine (Nicolas) to accompany our dinner was very good. Great atmosphere inside the restaurant and the location is an easy drive and lots of parking space. Do not have anything negative to add about the Waterman Grille. Highly recommended.
Went out to dinner with another couple and my husband. I had made the reservations and was praying for it to be “a hit” and it was! Loved the drinks, truffle fries, salads, main entrees the service and the view. Desserts were just ok, different from what we were used to. Overall exceptional meal! Would definitely go back!
We went to Waterman Grill with our daughter, during Family Weekend at Brown. We had dinner there on Friday night, and enjoyed it so much that we went back for Sunday brunch. One of the great things about this place is that there are different rooms, which can fit different dining occasions and moods. On Friday night we dined upstairs, where it was more intimate and quiet, and we were able to talk with no problem hearing each other. On Sunday for brunch, we ate on the main level, at a high top table. The vibe was different, and we really enjoyed ourselves. All the food we ate at both meals was delicious. Plus, both our servers were attentive and personable. We will definitely be back!
This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. The service and food were excellent and we love the ambiance. We had a reservation for 8:30 PM and were seated promptly on our arrival. There was a bit of a break down in communication as it took a bit for our server to get our drinks order. But they made up for the lapse by providing a complimentary appetizer and dessert. We took two friends with us and we all had a wonderful time. We'll definitely be back.
I LOVE this place!!! Admittedly, have not been here in a long while, so was happy to reaffirm how wonderful it is!!! Came to celebrate my niece's birthday. Paul - our waitperson - was SO AMAZING! as well as the rest of the staff. I booked through Open Table, and as soon as we were seated, they acknowledged we were celebrating a birthday. My niece was overwhelmed with feeling special, without feeling "on display" ~ THANK YOU!!!
What an exceptional find! We made a reservation at The Waterman Grille for our anniversary dinner while on a visit to Providence. We were greeted with an anniversary card, signed by all the staff, and treated to complimentary champagne for two. The ambiance is wonderful - inviting and cozy, with lovely views of the river. Our server, Ashleigh, was exceptional, and made the evening extra-special. We ordered crab cakes and pan-seared duck breast, and both were superb. Enjoyed their roasted Brussels sprouts, and topped the evening with chocolate mousse and creme brûlée - voila! We'll be back - 5 stars!!
First time eating there and have to say everything was great. Our server was very attendant sad to say I forgot her name, I like to give credit where credit is due(we dined on Sunday October 8th around 10:30am). I found the menu pricey but have to say the portions were more than adequate. Will definetly visit again.
I thought the food was great - this was our second visit this month from the Boston area. Had the Filet which was cooked perfectly and my wife had the short ribs, which was also fabulous. The waiter was terrific and attentive. The manager came and checked on us. Good location away from the hustle and bustle - on the river. Great overall experience - likely be back soon!
